There's a reason why Daiquiri Shack has 5 stars because it's the best little hidden gem ducked off in Houston. The music is good, employees are great, and the drinks get you right. I swear I felt like I was back in Louisiana. Upon pulling up you have the option to go inside or order in drive thru. Since it was my friend and I first time we opted to go inside. The inside was small but I loved how they had it decorated for Halloween. They even had a Halloween drink to go with the season. My friend and I were unsure what to get even after reading the reviews online. The lady who worked the inside counter let us try a few before we made our decision. Now let me tell you she was THE BEST and I wish I asked for her name. She took in consideration that I'm not an octane fan and made sure I could not taste that orange in it. We went inside; not a bar per se but there was a TV, and the music was good & loud. This place definitely has some Cajun/Lousiana influence that speaks to its unique character. I dig it. I really don't know how or why this place has 5 stars?! This was the worst and most expensive daiquiri place I've been to. After waiting 30 mins in my car I was super excited like this is going to be fire we study the menu to make sure we had it together when it was our turn to order. We finally make it to the finish line and it was pure chaos the lady was yelling and speed talking to us, cutting me off ever time I tried to place my order I asked for a small she's yelling back a large, I asked for a drink on the menu she going to say what is that and say I'll make you something nice. I mean I never really got place my order it was all her talking over me yelling random drinks to the back and then asking them which one is this and making up which drink it was one the cup. So we get our drinks and the all look and taste just a like. Confused cause mine had bananas and piña colada, other one was cherry, other one had mango, other one had strawberry but all where red and tasted the same so I pretty sure we all the same drink. Went through the drive thru. A little confusing to get to window if you don't pull into the parking entry of the shop. I entered through the parking entry before the shop ready to drive around to window. Another person was before me and realized they couldn't go any further. We both doubled back to the shop to order. The menu is big and easy to read. The only thing hard to see was the $1 extra shot, Jell-O shot, etc. when I pulled up to order I was greeted by a very hairy man. I wouldn't have known this had he not been wearing a tank top. With ear phones in his ear he said a sad happy Mother's Day then immediately asked "is you ready to order ". No "Welcome to the Shack", "is this your first time", etc but just "is you ready to order''. I ordered a small but he said they were sold out so I ordered a medium. I asked about the extra shots to confirm if they were $1 and he rolled his eyes and shook his head. Just completely rude. Any question I had was met with disinterest and all of this was just through the drivethru. Then ofcourse he tried to upsell with additional items. I was too scared to ask him to slow down to give the options and be met with more tactless attitude. I wanna like this place especially since it's a good location from me and the outside looks nice enough that I wouldn't mind walking inside to check it out.
