I love this place! I recently passed through the drive up window and was greeted by Cassidy. I explained to her that I was a Vietnam veteran and was having a crazy episode. She invited me in the location where she redesigned the place to look like the jungles of Vietnam. She even went as far as dressing up as a Vietcong and let me tackle her to ease my PTSD. Today was my third time stopping by. I love how you get a card to scratch off each time you but a Daquiri. I have yet to not won a second one free. Nothing like one for now and a free one for later lol. Daquiris are somewhat of a New Orleans institution. Some places are stronger than others some are better than others. Daquiri Paradise qualifies for both. Not to mention you have the option for additional shots. Great service from the Employees and everyone is made to feel welcome. I was visiting and my brothers and I stopped by this place and grabbed a couple of daiquiries as this is a staple signature of the New Orleans area. I found it amazing that New Orleans doesn't have a law that limits or prohibits the sale of alcohol after a certain time. As the man was poring us our drink I pulled out my phone, Instagrammed video myself chanting "Alcohol to go! Alcohol to go!" Something not only illegal in California, but a ludicrous statement in and of itself. Bar staff was nice, there's two pool, 3 slot machines, and some friendly as heck locals. Locals around this area are extremely friendly, and will strike up a conversation with you just by standing around. read more

Daiquiri Paradise is part of a large chain of daiquiri shops in the Quarter and this one to me is the best of the bunch. They not only have video poker machines but they also have pool tables here. A great selection of daq flavors to choose from with about 15 different flavors. I ended up here last night because I just wanted to see what St Bernard Parish looked like as I had not been in the Chalmette area in 3yrs. I gotta say that I was pretty impressed with this place. Bridget is a great bartender who was very attentive to everyone there even though it was kind of busy. The other bartender, Ace, was friendly as well. I had a large Redbull and Vodka daiquiri and it only cost $5.50. They even ask you if you want an extra shot in your daq for $1 more. Pizza is available if you're hungry too. Made a quick end of school semester hurrah, hey it fit the bill for a quickie, but I wouldn't make party plans here. 2 pool tables. VERY limited food selection, hello only pizza. Limited beer selection, inclusive of bottled, hello this is Louisiana huh, ehhhh ok. What happened to smoke-free??? (coughs). Technical difficulty with opening & closing a tab... hmmm ok. New to the rodeo I see. Nice bar staff. Ample parking. Nice flat screen tv for viewing. We played darts. Two rounds of pool. Fed the juke box, or is there a more tech-savvy name for it nowadays? And stood around & caterwauled. ... and yeah that was it. I guess you say what more is there to do at a bar/daiquiri shop, but it just seemed a dismal place. Not much happening. BORING!!!!!! As I was perched in our rental car at the Walgreens across the street...I spied this little gem. Sign outside: Daiquiri Pradise Drive-Thru My thought: "ummmm, a drive-thru bar?" So, of course...we had to investigate. And the answer is, "YES." A drive-thru bar. It doesn't serve food. You just pull up (in your car, while driving, yes!) and order very strong alcoholic beverages. Luckily my mother was with us, and was doing the driving.... These daiquiris kicked my Midwestern ASS. The first night (of course, we went back the next night, ha!) was a Wednesday when LARGE (32 oz) daiquiris are $5.50. I had the eggnog, which is a seasonal special. It was heaven. I went to bed happy. The next night, I tried the Jungle Juice...and paid FULL price, a whopping $7. It was a frozen frat party in a glass! And, um...probably the drunkest I've been in a very long while. After 3 days of drywall sanding, it was just what the doctor ordered ;) The drinks are ridiculously strong. A drive-thru bar. Have you ever heard of such a thing?! You pull right up to the window and order up to a 32 oz. daiquiri for as low as $5.50. Crazy! Apparently, New Orleans is known for their daiquiris. Who knew? This particular daiquiri place has dozens of flavors. I tried the original Strawberry Daiquiri and it hit the spot. And don't be fooled by the low price...they are very strong! Since it was particularly hot the week we went down to New Orleans, this was a perfect treat to cool us down. Great little local atmosphere, not like the shops in the city. Good quality daiquiris and flavor selection that changes throughout the year. Deals on prices change by the week day. Grab a couple or four of the cheap Everclear-filled JellO syringe shots to keep your buzz going. For people not from here, know that you can buy daiquiris by the gallon for parties or a small or large styrofoam lidded cup. The bartender, Sean, is great and friendly; & makes a mean Bloody Mary or well paired flavorful daiquiri mixes with extra shots that will compliment the flavor. Quick service inside and out at the drive through. They have trivia nights and Game specials that are fun. Couple pool tables, some gambling machines, bar trail mix and little personal pizzas they pop in the oven on order. Interior vibe has nice, colorful lighting and a huge wall mirror makes for good photo op. Parking lot. Tables and patio out front as well or you can smoke inside since it's St. Bernard Parish.
