Big round of applause to the cook(s) because this 2-piece fish plate was nothing short of immaculate! The fish? Fried and seasoned to absolute perfection, with that just-right crunch that makes you close your eyes for a second bite. But let me tell you--the fish wasn't even the only star. The greens? Packed with so much flavor I almost forgot I ordered anything else. And the yams? Sweet, buttery, and downright delicious. Listen... I know we've got food at the house, but we do not have this level of cooking at the house. Lucky for us, it's right down the street off 360 and Abrams. Get. There. read more

Daiquiri Depot - Fried Catfish Plate(2) - Soul Food Near Me - Arlington, Texas

The customer service was not the best! There were about 8 seats inside the establishment and plenty on the porch. We waited a fair amount of time, but our food was made fresh so we didn't have any complaints. My family and I ordered (2) pork chop sandwiches, and (1) order of party wings. The sandwich was seasoned well and likely pan fried with no flour, because there was no crunch! It came with all the fixings & white bread. As far as the wings...My younger cousin mentioned he liked his spicy (I can't remember which flavor) wings and fries. No additional comments they were pretty standard. After talking with other customers a gentleman suggested that if I were to come back we should get the catfish plate. read more

This chicken has no seasoning and whomever cleaned it left all the fat under the skin. No butter on baked chicken (who does that). I guess y'all do at this establishment The greens mixed with the cornbread was good. The mashed potatoes were bland. I tried this place before and didn't like it when I first got to Texas. Still is a nope for me. 60$ later. read more

I was very disappointed with our experience. My wife was treated with a poor attitude & blunt rudeness.

The good is the food is usually very good. I regret not doing the review when it was really good. I I usually get the meatloaf and or oxtails. Those items are very good. I eat them to the very end. The sides: the mashed potatoes were so salty. Nobody could eat them. It's a waste. I got the Family size. Sweet potatoes I might as well order a bowl of sugar. The greens were also very salty. The mac & cheese didn't taste like anything. I'm not sure if it was just a bad day to order there or what. It was on a Sunday so beware even the cake was dry texture and it's usually very good as well. I'll keep coming, but never gonna Sunday again. read more

2nd experience- pork chops fried perfect, tender and good seasoning, mustard greens were very good, nice texture and meat bits with it and mustard great flavor. The cabbage was different, like it had a ketchup style setup...wasn't my type and then the red kool-aid, wasn't sweet enough lol! Overall it was about a 8.8! Now I will go back for something else read more

I went here for lunch today and my total for a beef tip and rice plate with 2 sides which I may add are small with a drink was $26.17! I paid for a scoop of beef tips and rice which the portion now is even smaller than before when it was on the line and they weighed it in front of you! Same meal cost 12.99 not even 2 years ago and the sides/ containers were larger. I will never return again. read more

They knew those mash potatoes were super salty almost sent my granny to the hospital.

Ordered on Uber eats so cannot say much on service. The beef tips were really amazing when I order beef tips. This is exactly the flavor that I'm going for so that was a plus the greens were good. They were a little bit on the sweet side which I wasn't used to, but it had a great flavor overall, the mac & cheese wasn't really anything special but I would definitely go back and eat there again. I'm in person and try some of their other options. read more

The first time I order food from it was great everything was still hot and just great but, I actually went to the restaurant and ordered everyone was nice really pleasant atmosphere. I really hate to say this but the food this time was not what I expected now don't get me wrong they give more than enough so quantity will never be an issue but that particular day I don't know who was cooking but it wasn't good but I'm going to give them another try I keep thinking abt the first time how good it was read more

I love this place! Came back for the second time the other day and got the friend cat fish plate with Mac and cheese and cabbage. Ordered at the register and it was out in about 15 min during the lunch rush. There is very limited indoor seating only about 6 high top seats. The service was awesome the last taking our order was super nice. The food is phenomenal. Cat fish was crispy on the outside and nice and juicy on the inside. It came with what seemed like a homemade tartar sauce and they had hot sauce to take on the side. The cabbage had so much flavor! The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious! I would love to come back after rework hours for a daiquiri one of these days as there are soo many options read more

Daiquiri Depot, you did it again!!! Just a little background...I'm originally from Louisiana so we take our seafood VERY personal and our standards are extremely high. It was a Friday evening, I was hungry and everything was frozen but I wanted some fish. I've tried like 5 places and the fish has been mediocre but I've had good experiences with Daiquiri Depot so I took a chance. Hunni, when I tell you I licked my fingers afterwards!!! Best fried catfish filets I've had since moving to Texas two years ago. Added a side of yams and dirty rice, whew!! My taste buds were doing cartwheels & I'm thoroughly impressed. Check out the pics. Although I paid a $5.99 delivery fee to get it (sheer laziness), pricing was modest. Everything was flavorful and well seasoned. Y'all can have my money whenever LOL read more

Me and my wife normally look for restaurants we've never eaten at when we come to Dallas or the DFW metroplex. One of my good friends and his wife who live in DFW metroplex will meet us wherever we choose. Well this place was on point and the food was very and great. They were very patient with us and helped us decide what to order. Once the server explained everything my friend got the pigs feet and I got the oxtails. Wow, both of us were very impressed with the consistency of taste in the meat and vegetables. I will definitely add this to my list of see ya next time. The weather was a bit chilly but if it wasn't outside would have been the best option to sit and eat. read more

5 stars for the food. 5 stars for the Daiquiris. 5 plus stars for the customer service. Visiting my daughter for the weekend and I am fascinated with daiquiri to go places being from California. We got food from the line. Smothered pork chops, greens, yams, and oxtails. I almost got the pigs feet to try. The food was well seasoned and fresh. The price is good as well. I have pictures of my leftovers. Now the daiquiris were tasty and strong! I was expecting it to taste good but kick. Whew. You get your money's worth. Glad we decided to stop by. I spent $50 here. Got the regular Alfredo which was somehow spicy so my kids couldn't eat it. Cornbread was not all that. Wings were 5/10. Yams, fries & ranch were really good. If I was to order again I'd order fish or a burger but I wouldn't try anything else. read more

I visited Daiquiri Depot for dinner while visiting one of my best friends in the Dallas, TX area. We dined in on the patio area on a Friday night around 7 ISH. The inside had a buffet style serving area on one side and an assortment of daquiris on the other. I decided to skip the daquiris and order a nice soul food plate after seeing that they had oxtails. I was able to save a little money with my Yelp check in offer! I enjoyed all of my food. The cornbread was perfect, the collards had great flavor, my yams were seasoned well, and not overly sweet and the oxtails did not disappoint. It reminded me of my mama's family's cooking! I would stop by again when visiting next time. read more

**Black owned business** Only reviewing the daiquiri services - the employees were very helpful and patience with us. Since my father is blind - I had to read all the flavors so he can get the full effect what's about to go down. Also if it isn't strong enough - I believe you can add an extra shot for $1 or two (I think - double check those facts). Seating along the wall - more outside and they had good music playing as well. My dad even mentioned they need to bring that to Detroit since we don't have anything like that here - it reminds me more of Vegas lifestyle. I guess daiquiri shops are something popular here - I only heard about this through Facebook and I'm glad I did. Happy drinking!!! PS - Yes the price is little up there but support and treat yourself. read more

Delicious soul food. We went for the first time last night on a quick trip through Dallas. They have hot food in pans like cafeteria style that you can quickly get served up. If you want fried food you order and wait and they call your number when it's ready. We had baked chicken which was fall off the bone juicy and delicious. We had a tomato based meatloaf that was divine with garlic green beans and mashed potatoes with brown gravy. We had wings and chicken and sausage gumbo. All delicious. Wings were well seasoned and crispy. We also tried a hurricane daiquiri. Very good. Very sweet. The place has outdoor seating. All good is served "to go." Highly recommend! read more

Rude customer service, server uninformed about what kind of food meat it's serving customers which caused me a medical problems! Manager refused to honor credit for meal that was issued for their mistake because total went over their credit limit! She then proceeded with nerve to removing food from my plate " that was already placed on my plate " which is seriously a " health concern " and took back the piece of cornbread that usually comes with every meal. Then another employee told me if I wanted bake chicken " I had to wait another hour. I told her absolutely not. Very rude and unprofessional I would not recommend this place to anyone' read more

I went tonight & the wait time was straight ridiculous. If it wasn't on the line then you had a good 20-30 minute wait. A tall lady from the kitchen came to the front to help so that helped some. Those wanting drinks had a line forming and they got ignored unless someone accidentally looked over there and went to help out. It was a struggle for them to keep up with door dash/Uber eats and manage the crowd. In their defense they were so short handed and had a hiring sign up. The pay was pretty decent for cooks & cashier's. I got a side of mac-n-cheese and it was literally like soup and not cheesy at all. You literally needed a spoon to eat it smh. It was bland and the recipe needs to be burned with lighter fluid. All the comments are the same on this page about this dish & hopefully they'll tweak it. I like this place and I'm a repeat customer. read more

Do not order from them through uber eats they stay leaving items off! Per one of the employees it's due to their new system. Green beans are gross no season at all don't order! Good food and drinks! Young lady at drink counter was unprofessional until another young lady took over. Overall, I will go back

This is my go to place for catfish. It's seasoned very well and some of their sides are decent also. Love the greens.

Yams were hard but tasted really good. Green beans were good and the fish was nice and hot! The fish wasn't really seasoned to my liking but it was still decent. Leach cobbler is soooo good though lol . I'll be back for that. 2nd visit - the wait was very long and my fish never got rang in so i waited 30+ minutes. The cashier had an attitude towards me. Wasn't my fault at all. They were nice about it and offered a free dessert but Y'all i was STARVING. So i kinda grew hangry (of course i was still sweet to them) Food was good - catfish, yams, Mac Tried the bbq beans and collards.... eh collards were okay but the bbq beans i personally didn't like. They gave me a complimentary banana pudding for my wait it was okay. Because the food is good I'll be back but I'll probably order before i arrive to avoid the wait read more
