The wait time was very short -- only about five minutes -- but it was a Wednesday and not a holiday, so I imagine weekends can get much busier. I'd definitely recommend arriving early or making a reservation if you plan to visit on a Saturday or Sunday. The food was excellent. We ordered the Pesto e Burrata, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. We also tried the Picadinho Tapajós, and it was one of the highlights: the beans were perfectly cooked, the farofa mix was amazing, and it came with a beautifully prepared egg and fried banana. Such a comforting and authentic Brazilian combination that I'm sure everyone will enjoy. For drinks, the strawberry caipirinha was spot on -- refreshing and perfectly balanced in sweetness. The passion fruit caipirinha also tasted great, although it could have had just a touch more sugar. We also tried the Limoncello Spritz, which wasn't really our favorite, but it may appeal to a different taste. The real star of this place is the view. It's absolutely impeccable -- honestly, there are very few places in Rio (or even in the world) with a setting this beautiful. Having lunch with a direct view of Sugarloaf Mountain feels priceless. Prices were a bit above average, but considering the location, atmosphere, and unforgettable scenery, it was 100% worth it. Highly recommend!

We didn't stay long because I wanted to do the paddle boarding - which I did. The red wine came with corks and they poured me another glass. They were also very kind to lent me the charging box to refuel my phone. Thanks.

This is a nice cafe in Copacabana. It definitely has the most styles of coffee brews I've ever seen in Brazil. You can choose between French Press, Aeropress, Chemex (pour over), filter (via Hario V60), and all of the standard espresso varieties. The wait staff is super helpful and patient, and they are more than happy to explain to you their different roasts available as well as the differences in brewing methods. The only downside to their coffee is that even the French press and the pour over result in exactly a 8-oz serving, so you don't get a whole full French press or Chemex like you get at many cafes in the U.S. I haven't tried everything on their menu, but I personally love the waffles, they're crispy and delicious, and you can choose between a variety of toppings (my favorite is honey & butter). It's a perfect midday snack! With a whimsical colorful atmosphere, the decor is so well thought out that this cafe really almost seems out of place here in Rio. Where many cafes here seem to think of their interior design as an afterthought, here they have made it a priority. With plenty of table space and comfortable chairs, this is an excellent place to come and spend the afternoon working on a project. They also have some great desserts available and the rest of the menu, which includes soups and omelettes a and other light foods, looks amazing If you're used to the comfy cozy cafes of the U.S. and want a place to get some work done, this is definitely your spot (as long as you don't need wifi). It's also a great place to come with a friend to have a relaxed conversation.

The service was great, but of course we are only English speaking. So be patient because just like everywhere else in Rio, barely anyone speaks English. This can be very frustrating but you have to realize it is not their fault. Most higher educated speak somewhat English, waiters etc rarely do. The ambience was really mellow, kid and pet friendly. Milena was amazing, super patient and sweet and really tried her best to help us. Google translate is your friend here!

The dining space consists of a small indoors and a decent sized outdoors patio. My waitress was not exceptionally friendly when I tried to order in Portugese and when I asked for clarification in English she didn't try to help. The Completo meal itself was very massive and came in several installments. They started off with the drinks, freshly squeezed orange juice and a cafe con leiche (basically a latte), both were delicious but came too early. Next came the scrambled eggs which were consumable on its own but was rather bland and no salt nor pepper were available on the table. They then brought out the cold cuts, cheese and jam without the bread basket for several minutes so I sat there thinking if I should just start eating each individually and cut my losses. However, when the bread basket came, oh was it glorious!! As mentioned in my picture, it included several cut sourdoughs, plain bread and whole wheat, as well as a fresh butter croissant and a few pão de quiejos. They were all warm to the touch and crispy, which makes me think (or at least hope) they were made semi fresh. The jam, cheese and cold cuts they provided were plentiful to create several sweet and/or savory mini sandwiches to devour. I loved this basket and emptied it promptly; it was the highlight of my meal and definitely not to be missed when visiting. I had recently travelled to Portugal so I had to try this cafe's pasteis de nata and boy did it resemble the freshly baked Pasteis de Belem in Lisboa. Like the bread basket, it was warm and crispy. Would HIGHLY recommend passerbys to try this! All in all, this was a mediocre dining experience with an INCREDIBLE bread basket and pasteis de nata (let that be the positive takeaway). If you're hungry, this is the place to be for its copious meals, otherwise you can probably find better quality in the various cafes across Ipanema.
