I had totally forgot about this little gem in the Asian Corner Mall. I would say it's the only other reason to go to Asian Corner Mall besides Le's Sandwich. The store is full of random cooking supplies and Asian decor. They have a lot of authentic items you aren't going to find other places. This place is what Noah is to arks. It's a cavern in here. If it's your first time then take your time. There is so much here. They literally have item you'll need to put together an Asian kitchen. Just remember it's a restaurant supply store so some items may only be available by the case. I go here for all things wok. They've got it all. The higher the price the better the quality. They have a large selection of stuff but it is disorganized and needs a good cleaning service.

Totally over priced supply store. They keep jacking the prices up. They buy cases of items- open them and re-package them (very unsanitary) and sell at extremely high prices. They also store lots of items on the bare floor. They are overcrowded with supplies and dirt. read more

Anyone know of more restaurant supply stores? This one is stocked but seems dusty n dirty. And, seems to cater more to the drive-in type services with styrofoam products n cheap Asian imports. The internet is taking over, sadly, just like in China. No more perusing aisles of different qualities n making a physical, visual decision. Shithole of a place. Bunch of crooks. Sell you cheap products. That break in a matter of days and won't stand behind there product. I recommend buying from restaurant depot, chef store or Ebay. read more

I went in on 1/12 at 6:30 to get a few items I needed before they closed at 7:00. I entered the store and was greeted by the staff with friendly hello. I have been here once before so I kind of knew where I should head for the items I needed. I was in the store for about 3-5 minutes and had everything I needed in hand except for meal prep containers which I couldn't locate. As I browsed around a gentleman came up to me and said "excuse me Miss, we are closed", to which I relied "I thought you closed at 7". He the stated that they were busy that day and ready to go home. How rude!!!! I immediately told him that I was spending MY money in YOUR store and you come up to me and tell me your closed instead of asking me if there's anything that he could help me with, and that was rude and he did apologize. I told him what I needed and he walked me down an aisle or two because he still couldn't understand what I meant when I told him I needed "meal prep containers" we finally found it and he said "that's it", I relied "yep". To make matters worse, when I went to the counter to cash out they turned off the lights before the cashier even began to ring my items up. Yep, I checked out in the dark. I was so annoyed and I'm sure they felt and sensed it as I didn't crack a smile....RUDE AS EFF AND I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME IN THERE! Nor will I send my kitchen manager to grab any items that we need to hold us over. We will just run out before I ever patronize that establishment again. Great selection of restaurant equipment and consumables with a special emphasis on Asian cooking equipment (woks, etc.). Helpful staff and reasonable prices. Not fancy, but a great spot for your cooking needs. I've purchased several woks, wok burners, and stainless cooking pots, and I've always been happy with the quality. read more

I love this place. I love restaurant supplies because I'm LAZY. I get those 16 oz deli containers in bulk because they're just as good as any tuperware I've ever had and they're dirt cheap. Completely waterproof, maybe 30 cents each. Best part, if I'm too lazy to do the dishes, I toss them. I toss them a lot. 30 cents. I also buy chopsticks by the hundreds for like $4. I cook and eat with the same pair, then toss them. It's like a nickel per meal. Other things I love at this place are all the chinese restaurant style plates and things. I have the craziest looking dishes now and I got them all dirt cheap here! You know what else I got? Those clear pastic folders that they put menus in. I don't know why, I thought I could put some important papers in them and keep them as a reference. That's the kind of crazy wacky thing you'll find here and be happy about when you leave. If you're in the area just pay them a visit for a few minutes, trust me, you'll be happy you did. Oh, and get yourself a Banh Mi sandwhich around the corner at Le's while you're at it too. Oh, Dai-Sing... I don't really know what to think. As a stop-in after shopping at the Asian Mall you're great, you're entertaining, you have some awesome items, and you give me a good laugh with some of the products you carry... as a functional restaurant supply store? I don't know who would choose to stock up here but you do carry a lot of items that could help a business... at retail prices. (Serious customers would probably have more luck at restaurant depot) After you pass the mass of scales, pirate ship clocks, sinks, and incense along the right hand side there are boxes and boxes of paper products, to go containers, etc on the first aisle along with random cooking ingredients (bulk wasabi powder right next to gallons of Louisiana hot sauce). As you continue to the left you'll pass plenty of cooking utensils, heating elements, signage, faucets, tabletop accessories (syrup containers, shakers, ketchup & mustard bottles) and grinders ending on a last aisle of glassware and china. The back of the store is lined with cleaning supplies, trash bins, and chemicals, but as you make your way back to the front they have an array of chef outfits and accessories as you hit the knife counter. At a glance nothing seemed extremely well made for the price, but I didn't browse too hard. I could be missing something, of course. Since I have purchased some items but have never inquired about wholesale/bulk items I might be out of the loop. Most of the staff spoke English perfectly... I just see this as more of a small purchase store than an actual large supplier. read more

A great place to purchase kitchen stuff between bulk and retail price. I love baking to give away and have been doing for years. They have stuff I can get at a much cheaper price without a license like restaurant depot. Also a nice place for Small food business to start from here. read more

I'm not in the food service business, so I don't have access to a place like Restaurant Depot, but I've been in Dai-Sing numerous times and have always had a good time exploring. Everyone is helpful without being annoying. Today I had to return a defective part of a wok burner stand and they were very apologetic and replaced it with no issue whatsoever. Very nice store with lots of items you will rarely see in other stores. They don't carry much food items like restaurant depot, but unusual items you wont find in other places. I bought a can opener here, and I love it. It hasn't broken down on me yet (its worked perfectly for about seven months now) ; but the one (looks almost the same/ different color) I bought at restaurant depot (for higher price) broke in about a month! I also like their choice of utensils, and plates and dishes. Another item I bought was an electric water heater/ dispenser that is very high quality. I saw the same thing selling at the Asian mall next door for $20 more!!! They have competitive prices on their restaurant supplies. I love shopping here when I need something for my kitchen; They have lots of items to choose from. I have taken my friends and relatives to this store to see this store, and everyone was impressed so far with the wide variety of things they carry, and never left the store empty-handed. I'm going to go there again (tomorrow) to get another hot water heater/dispenser as a wedding gift for my niece (she likes to drink alot of tea). read more

Awful customer service. I DO NOT recommend this place. The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. I will never go back. She told me that they did not carry the item that I was looking for but if I call back tomorrow at 10:30 AM to ask again because it was too late. If it's too late then why did you pick up the phone?? Hello potential costumer. I usually don't write reviews but in this case I feel like its necessary. Today I went to this place and was walking around exploring the store. And I saw incense sticks in a bag with special looking paper and I was interested in how to use it. So I asked one of the employees and she very rudely said "I don't want to answer questions..your not buying so I'm not going to answer" and with a very mean look said "anyways you don't know how to use it" I said I know that's why I asked . and then on top of that she wanted to keep going and so I stopped her. I showed her with my hand that it was enough an I didn't want to continue speaking to her. I wish i didn't have to write this but she was just so disrespectful that I have to let you all know the way that I was treated and I hope your not treated the same.
