One thing I noticed initially was the detailed explanation on what they would do, the thoroughness of the pressure washing and old paint scraping before paint was applied. I had loved working with this group over the years for quality gutter cleaning, but unfortunately…read moresomething must've shifted. My latest experience was just OK. The communication that had been so key early on had faded, and I honestly didn't know if we were on the schedule or had been completely punted. I had to follow up to ensure things were on track. It took multiple weeks to have someone out. I think it's because of the frequent rains throwing off the schedule, but again it felt my messages were sort of going to a void. They gave me about an hours notice when someone was coming out, and he did a really nice job. I was very surprised when I got the bill and it was $125 more than it's ever been in the past. Especially surprising because the email thread we had been going back and forth in had our prior invoice at $275, not at $400. When I asked what was up they cited that it took their employee three hours and my gutters were more clogged than before. To me, nothing has really changed, if anything we have had more trees trimmed back, and more importantly, I didn't know that would affect the cost so dramatically. It had been under a year and half since I last had them out. Had I known, I absolutely would've gone with a more reasonable option. I also felt like their response was a bit off-putting, and I'm surprised because again we've hired them at least three times and I've had such positive interactions up until now. I'll be looking elsewhere moving forward; they do a nice job, and are a professional enough company, but the lack of customer service and shockingly high bill will have me finding a new go-to for my annual gutter cleanings.

I would highly recommend Junior and his crew!

I contacted Jorge via Yelp on the 16th of the month. He replied after awhile and said he would be happy to come out. I called him on the 18th. He came late in the day, a bit later than he stated, but did arrive. We talked about the project and I showed him what was needed. He said he would email me a quote. On the 21st I texted him asking about the quote. He said he would send it that night that he "promised". It is now the 26th. No emails or texts or calls. If he doesnt want to do the job, that's more than okay, just tell me. That's honesty I can respect. But when you say you'll so something, and you have to say "I promise" and you don't do that thing? That's an issue to me. I'll be moving on.

They painted our dining room, baby's room, master bedroom, and kiddo's closet (plus repairs). They also do exterior painting. We had a few other bids, one was close to theirs, and one was $1K higher (yikes, plus that company went dark on responding), and felt like theirs was perfectly fair and in line with what we expected. The husband and wife team came out and surveyed the rooms, got our samples so they could color match with high quality Sherwin Williams paint. I had to nail them down on a start date, but turns out they were on a family spring break (so were we) which totally makes sense. They were able to start within two weeks of quoting, and finished the project in two days. I appreciated that the same husband and wife team were doing the work with the crew, not just passing them off which happened to us before and didn't go well. Most importantly, beyond price and timing, the painting looks great! Very professional without paint drips. They even moved and reassembled the large hutch to the wall and put everything back in areas where paint had sufficiently dried. TL;DR; Quality painting, good communication, fair price point, effective process. They'll be our painters moving forward. (I didn't see a website out there, but calling or texting them is how we got in touch!)

Modern Image has one very good painter (Delfino) who does great work. But, the company has issues…read morewith time management and scheduling. If you're looking for someone who you can depend on to show up when they say they will...look elsewhere. Management is not reliable. They lack basic communication skills. One day they will tell you one thing, and the very next day it changes. In the past year, we have had them paint the exterior of our home along with a majority of our interior. I am happy with the work Delfino has done. Yet, part of our exterior is a deck off the back of the house - it was not properly color matched to the main paint color of the exterior, yet it was something we could live with. But just after 6 months, the deck began to peel and looks just hideous. We were told time and again it would be made right. Granted, weather plays a big role for any outdoor painting so we patiently waited. And waited. Until now when we were just informed they have absolutely no plans to repaint - claiming "rotted wood" something that was never brought to our attention 6 months ago! If that was truly the case, we would have absolutely had any and all wood replaced that needed to be. But again, we were not told. It was a rush job at the tail end of our homes' exterior painting and thereby improperly done and now we're living with a deck that has peeled and is a real eye sore. And even after that, we hired this company once again to have the interior of our kitchen cabinets painted since the exterior of the cabinets are being refaced. Today we fired this company. Once again, their communication skills are not one you would expect from a professional company. Cannot commit to days/times, etc. One week they tell you one thing...the next there is some type of excuse. If a company is not properly organized this is what happens. Yes, I am someone who believes if you say you are able to do something then gives me an excuse and tells me that maybe I should hire someone else...well, that is exactly what I will do. Isn't the old adage that the "customer is always right?" It is obvious that is not the case with this company. I wish them well, but cannot imagine if they continue this disorganized how long they will remain functional as a viable company. Later today...the owner called and stopped by the house following this review. Obviously upset with my review. Discussions took place between him and my husband and although I will not be hiring this company again in the future, it should be known that they are reasonably priced and the majority of work they do is good. None of my personal experience should stop you from hiring them.
