Our family recently had an excellent experience with Petroff Appraisals, they were the designated…read moreAppraisal Company assigned by our financial institution to perform an appraisal on our house in East Lansing. Overall we were very impressed with the quality of the work and prompt follow up with our credit union, and we were delighted with how friendly and courteous they were throughout the process. Doug showed up to perform the appraisal, he was on time, extremely polite and professional . He was also very patient and thorough with his work - - evaluating the entire home and structure from top to bottom diligently looking for anything relevant and newsworthy. Even though some areas of the home (i.e. basement and extra bedrooms) contained clutter since we were in the middle of (a very long and ongoing) cleaning and organizing project, Doug never complained. He remained patient and was very cognoscente and respectful of the surroundings while staying focused and productive during the assessment. When Doug finished he carefully explained the next steps of the process and assured us that he would fill out the necessary paperwork and contact the credit union immediately to get the process moving forward. Needless to say he fulfilled his promise as there were no delays. We were extremely pleased with Doug's competence and professional demeanor, he's a gentleman who enjoys his work and prides himself on providing top notch quality service. We will definitely go back and utilize Petroff Appraisals in the future and highly recommend them.

You never want to hear the moving crew say "we should have brought a bigger truck." I hired movers…read morebecause my husband and and I are senior citizens and we could afford the cost of the movers. The quote was around $2500-$2800, but we were only charged about half of that because they ran out of truck before we ran out of stuff. One of the movers told me they didn't like moving televisions, couldn't I just take that 80" TV in my car because they didn't have the proper equipment with them to move them. They made one load and we spent the next 4 days lifting and moving stuff in our vehicles--something we tried to avoid by hiring movers. This service was not worth the high cost of having to move things ourselves. We had used the service twice before, but never again.
