What an unexpected surprise.
My wife and I stayed at the Days Inn across the street from Photalai Thai Massage and I decided to see about getting a massage. After inquiring at all the Thai massage places within a two block radius, I decided to get a foot massage at Photalai. The price was the same for a foot massage or body massage, $40/hr.
The massage started off kind of lame with the masseuse gently rubbing my feet. After I told her I liked strong massage it became great. Unlike some foot massages that spend some time on shoulder and neck, she spent the entire hour on my feet, calves, and knees.
The massage was so good, I came back the next day for a deep tissue massage. This massage was just as good as the foot massage the previous day, so good in fact, I extended it by another 1/2 hour.
By the way, the deep tissue is not a Thai Massage. I don't care for Thai Massge at all, it involves a lot of stretching which I find painful. The deep tissue involves more rubbing and the masseuse used her forearms to really get deep into my muscles. read more
