Melissa took me back to her piercing station, took her time to listen to what I wanted to do, (increase the gauge of my nostril piercing), and my concerns. She took the time to speak to me about my options and her recommendations. She then went ahead and took the time to stretch my piercing and place a new ring in there. It was totally painless, I didn't even get any tears. She even recommended a website for me to order the next larger size to bring in with me in three weeks so she can move me up to that size next. Not just an appointment place fee, I paid for the whole thing, the jewelry and piercing cost. The piercing itself was fine. Clean single use needles and it wasn't exceptionally painful or anything. I have two things to critique: 1) my own experience: I do not like needles. It's hypocritical I know but alas I have 12 piercings. I have gotten pierced at 4 different studios and have visited 2 other studios for piercing change outs and check ins/ trouble shooting. I have always been treated very well even if I was scared of the needles, except here. The piercer was rude to me about me being scared of needles and just made my appointment extremely uncomfortable with her comments. 2) I had a friend who got pierced here and she was thinking about down sizing her piercing bc she had gotten it pierced a while ago and when I looked at her ear I realized she got pierced with a standard size piercing length. Which to be fair I am not a piercer, but usually me and all of my friends have been pierced with longer piercings in case of swelling and her ear was not swollen at all and the front and back of the piercing was flush with her skin. If her ear would have swelled at all it would have been very painful bc of how tight it is.

They are wonderfully inclusive, welcoming everyone as they are without any sign of bias. My artist was Frankie and do not let the word apprentice scare you, as she is a fantastic artist and did a great job of making my tattoo perfectly the way I wanted it. Tricia was still there close by to guide her, but I see Frankie as becoming a long-term part of the team beyond her apprenticeship. Don't hesitate to reach out to them about your needs, and be patient with the waiting time as it is worth it!
