This would be individual stuff. But I am sure it to save money and no mess left behind. But for the family, myself who stayed all day. It would have been nice. I been to several funeral there and who ever does the body, does not do a good job on eyes. Should had put some color in his lips so you can tell he had them and cut his nails. They could not adjust the speed to the pictures. I guess there technology not good either. The chair is so old, when you sit in them, you feel like you are falling. Seen some tare on some furniture. I try to see my father before the viewing but since I did not pay the bill, I was not allowed to go in, I am only daughter and was on good term with my father. The Director kiss ass to the person who paid for funeral and did not offer any condolences to me, which is rude. I got there early he and would not open the doors to the viewing, not until person who paid got there. I was treated like I was a stranger. So upsetting to go through. At the grave side, did not offer anyone to stay to see casket lower, no flower was put with coffin, etc. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. If he can't treat all of the immediate family with respects and sympathy. He literally there for the money. I like the lady who sat in the hallway, not sure why she there, she really did do anything other maybe direct person to bathroom. I like Bob.

One of their staff members Julia has honestly done everything in her power to make it as wonderful an experience as possible. She showed care and compassion every step of the way, treated each person as if they were members of her own family, and truly comforted us all in our time of need. It is apparent that her and the rest of the staff take great pride in their work and that to them it is far more than just a job. For the specifics as people expect in a review now: The facility is very well maintained and pleasant. No unpleasant sights or odors. It doesn't have the usual creepy depressing feel of a funeral home. Complimentary coffee and water as well as a few well placed candy bowls. They also have lying around various branded planners and calendars, prayer rings, angel pins, and tissues. The rooms are clean and appropriately lit and climate controlled. And the entire staff is compassionate and knowledgeable. I could honestly go on for days about it. I hope nobody ever even has to read this review in order to find it useful, but if you do just know you're in good hands. Death is always hard, but these people do all they can to bring a little light to an otherwise dark time.

They help and guide the family to make arrangements, obviously under very tough and stressful circumstances. They will go out of their way to make the family feel at ease and will tailor the process to meet the family's needs and wishes. Their many years of experience is evident by the way they assist individuals through the process, all while being respectful of the family's individual preferences both during the planning of the funeral arrangements through completion. There seems to be no limit to the compassion and assistance they provide to the grieving family, offering guidance as needed during such a challenging time. There seems to be a growing trend of exploiting people's love for their pets--veterinary hospital prices are going through the roof, expensive and maybe unnecessary tests and procedures are pushed to maximize profits. It's an area where private equity firms are having a field day. I imagine a lot of people who visit Charm City Pet Crematory have already have spent thousands trying to save their pet. After all that, it's such a relief to deal with Charm City Pet Crematory. They just come across as really decent people providing a solid service at a difficult time.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED PETS TO CHARM CITY CREMATORY…read more For a business supposed to be focused on dignity and respect, Charm City made the death of a cat much, much worse than it should have been. I made an appointment to drop off the remains, and filed out their entire form online. Then when I arrived, someone came out of the office and made me stand my by car and fill out the same form again, all the same information, by hand. He shrugged and said something about the systems not working. I asked when I could pick up the ashes, and he said by the end of the week. No call by the end of the week. I called them the next Thursday and Zoey answered. I asked if the ashes were ready. She was at home and couldn't look it up on her phone, so she had to call the office and call me back. She giggled like it was just a funny little mixup. When she called back, she said the ashes were ready and told me they were open 9-1 on Saturday. I told her I would be there on Saturday. Of course, no one was there on Saturday after I drove across town, so I was left calling their urgent number, which no one picked up. So I texted her. When she finally answered that afternoon, she apologized and offered me a "laser-engraved keepsake" of my cat's nose or paw. Think for a second about that: at this point the cat is supposed to have been cremated. How could she make me an impression of a nose or paw? This was really not something I needed to think about at this already difficult time. I told her no, i just need the ashes delivered. Zoey said she would be at my house Monday. This was a lie. I texted on Monday at 3:00 to find out when she would be there. She said "I am sorry I put in my calendar for tomorrow. I am so sorry, I will be there 10am tomorrow morning." This is already absurd. I texted at 10:30 the next morning asking AGAIN when she would actually arrive. She texted back: "I will have the eta after I drop. The I text you" This is supposed to be someone who steps in at a very hard time and tries to make things better. Instead, she keeps on lying to me about when things would be done and when she would be here, and can't keep anything straight, forcing me to do more work just to get my cat's ashes. Finally she shows up with a tiny bag and some paperwork, mumbling something about a pen and signing for it. I ask her for the pen and she clarifies that no, she doesn't have a pen, can I go get a pen. This was the last straw. I had promised myself I wouldn't say anything, and my expression probably conveyed my feelings about her, so she said, "or I could sign for it if that's ok with you." I took the ashes and closed the door. The worst part about this is that since Charm City Crematory was dishonest and unreliable with literally every interaction of the prolonged experience, I have absolutely no reason to believe they actually carried out a private cremation. I'm choosing to believe these are my cat's ashes, but they gave me every reason to doubt it, and for that I will never forgive them.
