You have to pair this with 'sira', grape juice. Everything is great here. I gave 4 stars and not five because they didn't have Turkish coffee on the Sunday that I was there. The large portion was perfect, the smaller portion would not have been enough food for me (I'm a petite gal with a big appetite though!). We also got the dry grape juice which was surprisingly good. There's always a line out the door, they only have capacity for 40 patrons at any given time, but the food comes out quickly and the line moves fast. If you're going to try iskender do it here!

Of you wanna eat here, you really have to come here early, because they sell out the Doner so quickly and long wait times are ahead of you, because shop is very small. Doner is made different ways, but this place uses free range lamb for their Doner, the animals are fed with grass and fresh oregano gives a fantastic taste to the meat. Doner is as you know, is originally made from gorund or layers of lamb, put on a rotating spit, vertically grilled and served thin sliced. Uludag kebab, is the oldest known serving Iskender kebab, thinly sliced lamb served over toasted bread, tomato sauce and melted butter over, some yogurt on the side. A taste you would never forget, i was the 3rd generation ate at this place, and always recommend it to everyone. Cannot wait to go back sometime, hopefully very soon!!!

This is not Hayat Lokantasi that I have been to many times before. The quality dropped significantly. I am totally disappointed. They don't served coffee any more. You can self-serve Turkish coffee but, the coffee was not fresh and machine to cook the coffee was not clean. The worst thing is the poor conditions of the washrooms. In man's room, the toilets were dirty; in lady's room, there were no toilet paper. I do not recommend this place at all. The price per adult was 65 try which is ripped-off.
