The second course was a grilled tuna steak, perhaps a trifle overdone, but still delicious with grilled mildly hot pepper, and that was also well prepared. Finally I had a warm chocolate cake with a hazelnut sauce and pistachio ice cream, which was a nice cap to the meal. I also had a glass of a mildly sweet but still astringent white wine that was also very good, and the bread basket was plentiful and refilled when it needed to be. For all of you American who are not familiar with dining out in Italy, and I wasn't when I came this week, there is no tipping. Each meal has a small service charge added to it, and they do charge for stillwater, but it is modest. The system here favours the wait staff working together much more collegially than happens in the United States. All of that food and drink costs 61.5 euros, which I thought was an extreme bargain. These people really know their way around a fish! (and probably other seafood as well) There is no meat on the menu. If I wanted seafood, I would certainly eat here again if this were not my last night in Milan. If you're in the neighborhood, check this one out.

Upon arriving to the restaurant, my wife and I had no expectations of the place. We only chose this place because the reviews were good and the tasting menu was pretty cheap. We were greeted by one of the cooks ( one of only two ) and she had a bit of a surprised look on her face. She probably doesn't get too many foreigners because this place is so local. We sat towards the back next to a table of three local Italians. The last table was for a table of 12. The owner spoke no English at all and all the conversations that took place was through one of the local Italian customers. There is no menu at the restaurant. It is always a tasting menu and consists of no red meat. We started off with grilled octopus with pomegranate, then a squid salad. Later on the owner brought out some warm bread, burrata, mussels, clams with spaghetti, branzino, and some dessert. The meal also come with unlimited bottles of wine and ended the meal with a very very strong shot of espresso. Honestly, the food wasn't even the best part of the night (and that's saying a lot because every dish was delicious). The best part was just the interaction with the owner and his customers. Everyone was laughing with him, hugging him, he treated everyone like family. At one point he even started offering people cigarettes and started turning up the music so people could dance. There was nothing but love, family, and food that night and though we stayed there for 4 hours, I wish we could stay there longer.

It's made with an apple-shaped crispy candy shell with apple mousse inside. Reservations for this Michelin star restaurant can be hard to come by, but you may get lucky like we did. Small fresh sardines stuffed with sausage. *Tuna slider: the bun was made with pasta...This was very interesting, tasty and quite messy to eat as i was instructed to do so with my hands. *Squid with beet reduction and fried onions: very fresh squid, very tender and loved the beet reduction. *White fish or monkfish? Loved their presentation but this was my least favorite...the fish was very chewy and ate like a steak...sliced like one as well...somewhat gristly. *Octopus and potatoes: this was such a cool dessert for me as it looked just like octopus and potatoes...the octopus was fruit molded to look like octopus and filled with fresh whipped cream to look like the white flesh when you cut into it. As for the food itself, it was good but nothing spectacular. However, the risotto did standout and was my favorite dish in the experience. It was very creamy yet not too heavy. In terms of the staff, they were friendly however, it did seem as they were disinterested and going through the motions. This did not have a big impact on experience though. I got the octopus salad for my appetizer and it was delicious. Then I got the potato gnocchi with tartufo and it was very lightly delicious as well.
