I had pasta with mushrooms, several appetizers, Fish and Meat. Absolutely everything was out of heaven. Even more: the tiramisu is just one piece of art and has such a great taste! Horrible service! We came there because we bought a Voucher…read morebooklet (Gutscheinbuch). We came at 18pm, it was totally empty. Normally we wouldn't sit in an empty restaurant, because we go to restaurants for atmosphere, not just for food, but because we traveled far to get there, we sat at a table. We showed our Voucher booklet and the waiter rolled his eyes, saying something like, "not another one". Then came another older waiter, who told us that the publisher of the book made a mistake of writing that we get two meals for the price of one. This is actually a standard, so it was not publisher's mistake. Anyway, the old waiter said we could have one main dish free only if we ordered two full menus, which we didn't want to. So, we told him it was not fair, because we already spend time coming there, gas and parking money, but he didn't care. We don't like to be pressured into what we need to order for the voucher to be valid, and expected them to honor what was written on the voucher. If the deal worked for all the other restaurants who offered vouchers, then it should also for them, and any errors they should settle with the booklet publisher and not with customers. It seems they just used free publicity this booklet offered to get customer through the door, and then just blamed it on others just to escape keeping their end of the bargain. We left without eating there since the guy was extremely rude and wouldn't honor what the voucher was for.

Ambience and wine - 5 stars & food - 4 stars…read more I can't count the number of times I've been here for drinks and food. The carpaccio and veal carpaccio are fantastic. Most if not all pasta dishes are hand made. The food overall is just rock solid Italian fare - not mind blowing but solid. The owner's wine recommedations are superb for the price and never missed expectations. The outpost patio seating is quiet and has a fantastic ambience - probably the best for a restaurant in Hilden. Highly recommend and let the owner suggest away. He makes great honest recommendations and never fails to disappoint.
