Despite the €€€ rating, it was actually ridiculously cheap, two courses set menu for €25. And let's say you'd like a spectacular view over the entire city too... Say no more, fam - La Terrazza has you covered and smothered. Expect to be in the €30 range for a cocktail but it will arrive with some snacks (olives, those round cracker things, etc). You can get sandwiches or salads too if you're hungry. I was plenty happy with a very nice glass of champagne and the company of my fellow travelers. People watching - epic. You may look in some of those fancy boutique windows and say "who would wear that?". The answer may be found here. Also, super nice bathrooms!!

Open view of the kitchen which was nice as you could see the chefs designing dishes. Attentive waiters that spoke excellent English and were able to advise about the wine list and allergens. Food arrived promptly and was absolutely exquisite - tasted amazing and was priced brilliantly for the quality. We had bread sticks for starter and a complementary fish taster. We also ordered cod croquettes. My husband had lamb which was cooked to perfection. I had fettuccini pasta in a fish and vegetable sauce and the flavours were to die for. Beautiful red wine and some chocolate biscuits came with our bill. Definitely would eat there again!!

They needed the table for dinner. it is odd to kick out paying customers who want to pay more! Then we got to watch them set the next table, which involved three trips back to the kitchen, then watch them clear our entire table in front of us, then watch them go request the bill, then wait for the bill. All the while we could have had our third drink, which was always meant to be our last. The place is cute and all, but their mercenary approach to dealing with paying local clients will ensure I do not return.

This is a real local trattoria type of place, quite cozy, certainly less touristy, a quiet and comfortable restaurant frequented by locals. If you want to experience real Italian homemade cooking, this is where you come. We were greeted and seated right away. Aglio Orio e Peperoncino not only sounds romantic, it has also very much welcoming ambience inside, with friendly and efficient service. Wall decor includes large photos of famous Italian cinema icons like Anna Magnani, Monica Vitti, Alberto Sordi, and Marcello Mastroianni. I've got a vague understanding of their menu and gathered that your dinner options here vary greatly depending on the alignment of many factors, owner's creativity included. Just like home, already! -:) If available, you have to order Ossobuco here. It's braised veal shanks mixed with veggies and sautéed in white wine (in Bianco) or with tomatoes and carrots (which turns out a completely different dish, in my humble opinion). We had white version and loved it. It's hearty and delicious! I've got no photos because of the connectivity issues and discharged phone battery, as I also use my phone for work and conference meetings, sorry - maybe next time.
