I'm pretty sure I had written tips and review for Da Egea Al Casale before, several months ago. I stay in Aurelia for weeks on end during my business trips. This restaurant is as Italian as it can get.
Da Egea Al Casale offers traditional Italian flare. On the menu are various pastas, pizzas, prosciutto, mortadella and mozzarella. Cold cuts as antipasti (appetizers), cheeses (formaggi), breads, prosciutto are €7-€8.
First courses are ravioli, lasagna, gnocchi, fettuccini, carbonara, all'amatriciana, sorrentina for €7-€9 per dish. Fettuccini ai fungi porcini (that's with mushrooms) €10. Linguine allo scoglio (that's with mussels, prawns, clams) €12, Spaghetti alle vongole (garlic and clams) €10. Many pasta dishes with various sauces, spaghetti, fettuccini, and penne at €8 or €9 per plate.
Skewers €8, lamb chop €10, pork chop or sausage €6, steaks are €12, and a plate of mixed meats is €20.
Fish is the most expensive item on the menu at Da Egea Al Casale, it runs €13-€15. Add a side of greens or roasted potatoes for €4.
Frequented by locals it seems, located in the Aurelia district. Offers outside seating on a terrace with country views of the surrounded village. Nice place and good food! read more
