Chiefly Onesti's and The Rex. Time to complete the epic saga. Marcantonio's or 'Marr-keys' rests beside Wok Express near Motherwell Library on Hamilton Road, in shouting distance of a few pubs which gets them alot of business. They thrive on the squad of schoolies from Dalziel High School down the road though at lunch time. I dare anyone to try get served in here at lunchtime. The food is great, and not as expensive as other chip shops, with a constant wee production line waiting for you in the hot plate. Sometimes the chips aren't piping hot, but that's about all I have to say as a negative point. They also do a half a fish supper type contraption which is becoming more and more common which I won't argue with one bit. The ice cream, as has been mentioned, is also excellent. There's also something slightly nice about the wee box they give you your food in with Marcantonio's on it, as if they take a wee bit more pride in their business than other places. No reason why they shouldn't either.

While other dishes are on offer, few choose anything other than a pizza with the choice of toppings a little more extensive than you might imagine from the somewhat understated surroundings. Family run and friendly, Casa Blanca exudes something of a neighbourhood feel in an area almost entirely devoid, directly at least, of late night eating out options.

They answered the phone extremely quickly despite it being round about 12 o'clock and when they did the telephone manner was lovely. A mere twenty minutes later, there was a reassuring chap a the door (in all respects) with a prized pizza and portion of pakora. Between us, my and the boy, demolished the pizza in super fast time (him slightly more than me...) while the pakora did us well for a tea time snack the following day. And all for only £11.50 including delivery. This is why I'm going all out and giving them the five star treatment. Long may it continue.

Still, who am I to tell them how to name their take away? This is your typical catch-all Glasgow take away place. You'll get a munchy box here if you really want one. They also do amazing curry deals for the very hungry (their meals for two will comfortably feed three or four, the meals for three will feed six, and so on). Sure, it's far from Glasgow's greatest curry, but you sure get a lot of it, and pakora, and chicken chaat, and salad and... everything. The clientèle are mostly the post-pub crowd looking for something to soak up a little booze and they're certainly good at catering to this. Be warned though, the wait times can get very long. Order well ahead if you expect to be in a hurry.

It was obvious that the other customers were regulars- always a good sign- since the staff knew their orders off by heart. I went for a sampling of chips and Grand Mix kebab- too much for one person, but genuinely tasty and not slathered in that hot sauce beloved of cheap establishments. Heading back, I went for the curry and was really surprised to get a tasty dish- I did expect something more soup-like and harsh. But they cook fresh, here- I watched them pick out the ingredients and add them- so this is a cut above the usual takeaway.
