Stopped on our way to Utah. The traditional gyro and the Italian beef were both excellent. The 6" beef sandwich was stuffed with meat.

I discovered this place on the way back to grand junction from glenwood. I was in Chicago the day before and had a dog at a street stand there. Da beefs dogs were just as good as the one I ate in Chicago. Very delicious I will have to come back and try the Italian beef sandwich read more

I have grabbed lunch here a few times and just love the owners. The food is great with real fries being one of my favorite parts. I had a friend from Chicago bring me to lunch and he loves the food so figured it had to be good. I had a great steak sandwich and fries. Glad to support this local establishment. Wow! I'm a Philly native and a lover of all things beef-sandwich related, and these guys are killing it. The menu is extensive and I've heard great things about the dogs, but I've only gotten the Italian beef, dipped. It's as good as honest-to-god Chicago Italian beef in Chicago, no joke. Tender, flavorful, and juicy, on a fresh and tasty roll. If you like it spicy, the X-tra Hot giardineire has plenty of kick but really takes the taste up a notch. The Hurt Me sauce, on the other hand, is appropriately named, and truly a ticket to the danger zone when you add a drop of Pure Cap on top. Service here is awesome. The husband and wife team (I'm assuming) are super friendly and welcoming, and clearly Chicago fans, which adds authenticity to the experience. Proximity to the liquor store next door means you can sneak a beer onto the picnic tables for refreshment. Overall this is some of the best street food I've eaten out west, and the best I've had in Colorado. Definitely worth a stop if you're driving along I-80 through Rifle. read more
