A local recommended Da Adolina overlooking the harbor, up a little set of stairs, and I'm glad we followed her advice. We had a very good lunch. Our antipasti of mixed raw fish (paper thin tuna, swordfish, and cuttlefish, plus tuna tartare with shaved truffle, marinated anchovies, and more) and octopus with potatoes were excellent. My husband's secondo of swordfish rolls was delicious: both the fish and the tomato/caper/olive sauce were great. The only disappointment of the meal were my grouper/chard/coriander-seed ravioli. The pasta was tough (might have been due to the whole wheat flour) and the fish inside dry. Our waiter made sure to ask how we liked everything throughout and politely noted our comments on the ravioli. His wine recommendation, a reasonably priced slightly fruity, but also minerally white Malvasia from nearby Salina, went very nicely with our meal. The view from the terrace was fantastic, with Stromboli puffing away in the distance. Great experience overall! read more
