However, I'm really disappointed in the customer service and membership handling. I'm currently on my second pregnancy, and for health reasons I was not able to work out for a period of time. I kept my membership going for about three months even though I wasn't attending, and eventually decided I needed to cancel. Because you can't cancel in person, I submitted my cancellation online within their stated cancellation window. By the time they responded, it was already one day past that window. They told me they would refund the next month's charge since I'd been charged anyway. That refund never happened. I had to call three or four times, go back and forth, and still never received the refund I was promised. I've also tried calling on two separate occasions recently and no one answered the phone. In the end, I'm out about $170 for a month I was told would be refunded, on top of the previous months I kept the membership active while unable to use it. I had even told them I planned on coming back once I was cleared to work out again, but this experience has really changed how I feel about the company. The workouts and coaches are truly great, but the way my cancellation and refund were handled has been very frustrating and discouraging, especially as a long-time member and pregnant mom trying to do the right thing.

Planet Fitness has one thing going for them - CHEAP! However, with cheap comes some tradeoffs. I have noticed lately that there is dust and debris EVERYWHERE. It's like they don't care anymore. There are several pieces of equipment with ripped pads. Several of the TV's have been out of commission for as long as I can remember. The main large clock was even wrong the entire time during DST, as apparently they were too lazy to change it. What bugs me more than anything, is I watch numerous people EVERY time I workout that come in and stroll right past the front desk, even when the attendant is standing there (though usually staring at their phones). Am I a sucker for paying for my membership? To me, it looks like half of Wichita uses this place for free. What gives?

I called to resolve the mistake and spoke to the lead, Adam. He was awful. He put me on hold for 20+ minutes then deliberately hung up on me. I called back and he was very rude and hung up AGAIN . I immediately drove down to resolve the $33 charge in person (and our missing cards) and he fixed it but refused to apologize and walked away. Enter Peaches. She is a great lady. She asked to hear what was going on. Immediately took responsibility for the poor treatment from Adam. And said she would try to help train him in better customer service. Adam gets an F. Peaches gets an A+. I was going to cancel our membership but she convinced to give it another chance. Give that woman a raise and give Adam the boot.

First off, we spent 300 on a party room that includes an employee attendant helping. We show up and it was chaos. We had little guidance and then when we finally found someone to help us, she too is to the deck which was not what we paid for she finally took us to our private room. After seeing the room was away from the jumping area we asked to move to the deck. They refused saying it's cheaper at the deck and they can't refund us money. I asked for a manager and that did nothing. All the staff were young teenagers that should not be in charge. We eventually went to the party room and never saw the employee again. The popcorn was burnt and no utensils. I finally went and asked for support and utensils and that did nothing. No one ever came. I asked for a manager again, what was again just a lead(teenager) who refunded 40 dollars. He said that's the price for the employee that is supposed to help. I explained i needed everything refunded but the amount of the kids jump. He said he can't. I kept asking for whoever was in charge and no one was ever able to help me. They gave me peaches, the general managers name and email. I emailed her and called and no response. My other concern is there was a flea market going on in the main area. One of the kids attending our party was lost and they had nothing in place for "code Adam". There was so many areas for something bad to happen with the kiddos and no one (adult) to oversee. It was concerning and disappointing. We will not return.

After 10 minutes of pleading peaches did only charge me the $230. It was not easy however. I paid extra for a party room, which was so far away. It was so far away that you had to go past the sign that says "do not enter". Wth.... The room was so small. It was a party for 15, and they only set places for 10. They were late bringing all the things, and peaches was rude after I insisted on the price we agreed on. The rest of the staff was very friendly. The facility is very nice and clean and worth going to if it's not an "organized" party.
