Lovely! I did a Saturday class with my gf who is a member. At this location during the month of…read moreNovember, every Saturday is free if you bring a non-perishable food item for the food drive. Additionally, there is always a 3-free day trial which I will take advantage of when time permits. The format is a group fitness class where everyone does a warm up together, the teacher demos each station, the stations happen and then a group finisher with light stretching closes the format out. Blaine's Burn Boot Camp is located within a small strip mall making parking easy. In addition, there is child care onsite for members which personally, I think is a huge draw. For a newbie, there were plenty of sales pitches and call outs during class advertising my first one. Make sure to check out the website as there's a few locations in the Twin Cities including Woodbury. I know that in today's world, media is king. It was fun (and also a tad bit intimidating) to have all the social media videos going around when you're just trying to get your bearings but it is what it is! I will always be a fan of the post workout photo vs action shots. In terms of the workout, it's all stationary based rotating via different movements two times on a floating floor (which is a floor with a slight bounce similar to a gymnastics floor) making it easier on the joints. The format is very cardio driven with lots of opportunities to modify. Some movements included toe tap floor bounces, jump ropes, squats and I enjoyed that it was only 45-minutes. The environment is very welcoming and teamwork driven. There were tons of high fives, check-points and claps throughout. Sending gratitude for Burn Boot! Thank you for welcoming me so warmly and allowing me to try something new.

The best part about No Quit Fit is the community of people that show up every class and push themselves and each other to not give up no matter how hard the the workouts get. You can count on meeting great people and having a good time while taking your fitness goals to whole new levels. I never feel better than when I've pushed myself to the limit first thing in the morning. Chris and Katie keep things interesting with costumed workouts on Halloween, and a special memorial workout on 9/11. The last awesome thing about No Quit Fit is that my dog can come with too. She loves watching the circuit training, and chasing us on the runs. No Quit Fit is the training I've been to.

I tried everything from your typical gym membership to Sean T's Insanity, but I found myself giving up after only a few weeks and obviously wasn't seeing the results I wanted. Working with No Quit Fit and Chris has been amazing! I have seen results both in inches and weight loss, plus, I have NEVER IN MY LIFE had motivation like I do with this group. Chris is so positive in helping you reach your goals and wants nothing but the best for you. That being said, the workouts are extremely challenging and you must push yourself to be better every day, but they won't let you QUIT! If you are looking for a positive, judgement free environment where you will be constantly challenged and see results, No Quit Fit is for you!

This review is based on a one week free pass where I attended three different classes. I will say…read morethe instructors go out of their way to be super friendly and learn your name right away. Then while you were working out they will say things like "nice job Corey!" Also the other people attending class were very peppy and :-). The classes are 30 minutes which I didn't think was long enough. Part of the way they saved time was having you warm up while they showed you how to do the moves. That was way too much for my brain to handle, trying to learn 10 exercises while doing leg lifts. It was typically some sort of circuit format. One day it was do 10 reps of all 10 exercises the first time, eight reps the second time around and so on. Another day the exercise was timed for 40 seconds. Some of the exercises were very basic, do a Burpee, but others were more complicated and it was hard to remember exactly how to do. I will say, every time I asked for help, they were right over there. But this was a noon class with eight students, I can imagine it would be more difficult to get individual attention with 25 students. Also I noticed some of the people were doing the exercise wrong and they weren't being corrected. I was told they won't correct you if you're doing the exercise wrong but it still getting you a good exercise. This place seems to be targeted to people who are not in very good shape vs people who are already in shape. There are plenty of before and after pictures on the wall to attest to this. They do a before and after picture for their 21 day challenge. But I must say some of my friends who are going here (who are in shape) enjoy it very much. I went to another place where they had videos of the exercises and it was nice to be able to look up and see how to do the exercise. This place is $167 a month. You can try it out free for three days, they had a special try it out for a week for free, they also have $100 off your first month promo right now.

Like many people, I had put on more than a few extra pounds and was pretty unhappy with how I looked and felt. Before coming to Basecamp fitness I had pretty much no experience with group fitness classes, strength training, and was a novice at anything and everything. I didn't even know how to do a burpee! The Basecamp instructors including Zak, helped create a safe, judgment free zone, that I wasn't expecting, while teaching me proper form and technique. These 35 minute classes, with a 10 minute core block are fast paced, fun, and are over before you know it! My favorite days are lower body day (Tuesday/Friday) and full body day (Wednesday/Saturday). More than 2 years later, and over 400 classes, I couldn't be happier with my progress. A huge thank you to the Basecamp instructors, front desk, and manager for your continuous help and support. I couldn't have done this without you. I'm proud to be a part of the Basecamp community! Tips for newcomers- Stick with it! If you need help, just ask! The instructors are there to help you achieve your goals, and teach you proper form!

In 45 minutes, you get cardio, strength/HIIT, and core. The music is stellar, and because it's all timed (one minute on the bike, 10 second transition, one minute of an exercise), I don't have to pay attention to counting my reps and can sing along instead (lol!). You also only do each exercise once without any repetition so if you hate a move, you're done with it quickly. It's a bit chaotic, but despite that, the coaches do an excellent job of correcting form during the strength portions. Don't take my word for it, go check it out for yourself!
