Fairly new to this location, and since there's only 1 other review despite this location being here…read morefor years I thought I'd give my initial impressions. Almost an immediate biased positive solely because it is a 24/7 gym. I only have time to go post peak hours so it is often very empty. Which is a bonus in my opinion lol. This gym is very small, with only doubles of a few weight machines, and only about 6 treadmills, and 3-6 of ellipticals. Stationary bikes. And a stair steper machine. This is zero issue due to the time in which I go, and I'm not going to say on whether or not there's too much wait time to use machines during peak hours or not. So I'm keeping that out of my review. The gym is very clean, with heavy emphasis on cleaning equipment after you are done using it. Which isn't super pushed on in traditional gyms. There's almost no piece of equipment that they don't have, with some exceptions to fairly uncommon machine such as a pendulum squat machine. I do not bench or deadlift. But there's not a crazy amount of plates available to add to the bars, so this probably isn't the gym for you if you are doing 600lb+ lifts. I suppose it's possible, but you'll be relying on using plates from various other machines that are likely going to be used if someone else is on said machine. From my short time going here so far, I have noticed 2 small things. That if it was a 1 day thing. There's zero problems with. Like it could easily have been a oversight upon closing. But while some people won't find this to be a big deal. One of the treadmills was considerably uneven with the others next to it. Talking a good 20 degrees from the side to side alignment. Obviously this was some either pushing on it accidentally or something. But the treadmill remained in that position for about a week. Which does beg to ask why someone using the treadmills just didn't fix it themself. But whatever lol. Feels like a fix the floor staff should have noticed within a day or so. 2nd is a piece of equipment had the added 0/5/10/15 weight knob on it fall off. Those making it a chore to figure out how much incremental weight is engaged. This took about a week to replace. And even then it wasnt on correctly. Tho likely a patron knocked it off again and just pushed it back in thus the issue. Other than that. This is a great gym, the main equipment brands are Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, and Free Motion which are all really good brands. There's a few Technogym pieces. Which isn't inherently bad equipment at all, they are the promoted towards rich people. Despite being a class down than the brands I listed above. But they are certainly not bad in practice. And since these are owned by the gym and not you as a gym goer, you'll never have to deal with Technogyms notoriously bad customer service lol. I'd give a 4.5 if I could. I would recommend this gym to probably 90% of people. Again, this isn't a gym for Ronnie Coleman level powerlifters.

Clean facility with plenty of options on machines, free weights and cardio. A free one hour…read moretraining session for all new members is great if you are new to working out. Staff is friendly and helpful. Not packed when I go after work which is nice. No locker rooms but you can change in the restrooms if you need to. I've tried a few other gyms in the area and this is my favorite.

I absolutely love Orangetheory and that says a lot coming from a person who does not like exercise…read moreand has probably despised it her whole life. I've left other reviews pertaining to Halifax Health here in Port Orange and about my PCOS journey. I was a member at Orangetheory once, but unfortunately fell off track for some personal reasons as well as the fact that I was mildly lazy. However, I must say that the people that work at this specific Orangetheory are angels. I want to give a special shout out to Rhonda who helped me get established again and even went the extra mile to book 3 classes with me in person so I could start getting into my healthy journey again. I also got a swag bag for the day that I signed up again, which came with a towel for workouts as well as a cute water bottle. Rhonda as well as many of the other coaches that I've met at this. Orangetheory are exceptionally great at their job and even more so what makes them so great is that they're caring and supportive while also giving their members some guidance. I don't like working out, but I'm doing it for a better version of myself and I love this specific Orangetheory because the vibe is so amplified and everyone has the same goal so it just makes it easier for me to come in and get the work done. I absolutely love the whole system, and when you see advertisements talking about Orangetheory being backed by science, they aren't lying and it's not an exaggeration. Orangetheory truly works for people, such as myself who love competition and have no idea what to do at a normal gym by themselves. You pay for your membership, you come in, get the work done for an hour and then you leave feeling amazing. I will say that I have tried other gyms in the area such as LA fitness and planet fitness, however, they do not compare to the power that Orangetheory has on the overall physiology of the human body. As I mentioned before, I unfortunately fell off track because of personal reasons when I first signed up with Orangetheory, but I will share that I lost about 30 pounds when I really dedicated myself. However, with the lovely help of Rhonda and the supportive coaching from this orange theory, I have hope that again I can lose 30 pounds or more! Also, I forgot to mention that, although the membership is somewhat pricey, if you're really dedicated on making changes to your health, this is the best way to invest in yourself now and for your future self. Especially at my young age I want to start building a healthy relationship with exercise and I truly think that Orangetheory has been able to help me get to where I need to be. Premier Membership: $179/month Elite Membership: $119/month Basic: $79 just so you get a better understanding of each membership I also have pictures on this post so you could see the price for each membership as well as what it includes. I have the premier membership and as I stated before I know it is a bit pricey however, when you're committed to yourself and becoming more healthy, the price is essentially priceless. i'd rather pay money to get healthier now than pay for diabetic treatment down the line LOL. Long story short, I highly recommend Orangetheory, but even more so I recommend this studio. Everyone has such a bright personality, it kinda makes you wanna workout HAHA.

They have a nice studio layout. Definitely bigger than some others that I've visited. Everything is clean and up to date. The coach I had was full of energy and pumped us all up. All in all a great studio!

Level of attention from the training staff is consistently high, and it shows in the results people get. You can tell the trainers here built their experience over time and really earned their place. Noticeable progress came for me earlier than expected, somewhere in that range where most people usually fall off. I've worked with one of the trainers since early on, and seeing that growth and improvement through consistency and hard work is impressive. Nothing about the environment feels forced--it's the kind of gym you can expect results. All in all, if you're looking for a place that makes consistency feel sustainable, this is one I'd recommend.

I've worked out at several gyms before and have been a member of Amped Fitness Daytona for well…read moreover a year now. However, today, I am so grateful I have finally cancelled my membership at this sorry excuse of a gym The lack of professionalism from their sorry manager, Nina, was frankly appalling. After having a concern over the fact that there were slurs written on their board - in plain view of customers and directly in front of staff. Written in all caps and clearly visible yet their staff decided to keep it up, smirking and laughing whenever it was pointed out. Then when asked to speak to a manager, I was told she would meet with me after finishing up something. I stood for well over 15 minutes as I watched her finish up the conversation only to then go talk to staff, laughing it up and flirting with another male staff member as he playfully hit her on the leg with a resistance band. While my girlfriend and I stood directly in front of her, waiting as she wasted my time. When confronted and asked for corporate assistance, she smirked, denied information and was just totally unprofessional. From the behaviours displayed, it is clear that someone on staff decided to write slurs on the board and thought it would be funny Is this the no toxic gym culture Amped Fitness promotes? I wonder if their GM, Tyler Curtis, also thinks slurs are funny? If you are a member of the LGBT, I would cancel your membership as well. Clearly Amped Fitness thinks homophobia is hilarious Disgusting.

I am proud to call them my family now( even though Im refered to as crazy cousin or uncle eddie). You will read reviews here and on other sites that said it took forever to open. It was actually only one month longer than planned. Thank the city of Port Orange and their permit process. During the whole time there were altmost daily updates via social media , emails and texts. If you missed them you probably didnt have a pulse that day. So all those complaints were basically false. Some have complained about cancellation policy. I have my paperwork and it clearly states the same thing thats verbally told to you. Its easy to use. Dont know why anyone would want to but stuff does happen. So those bad reviews are without merit. There is a bad review here about the after hour door policy. Every new member is walked outside and shown the key system. It is explained both inside and outside each member must swipe their key, enter the gym and close door behind them. Then next member does the same. It must be your key as there is a camera facing you as you enter. Folks this is for all our safety. Follow the rules please. Its not hard. You will see a review on here from a lady bitching she was yelled at. Heres the truth as I was there. The lady and her male friend tied up a cable machine for 45 mins that night. They d doa set. Then BS and text on their phones for 10 mins. This went on for 45 mins straight. We are a group of 20 or so regulars here nightly. We range in age for high school to our 70s. Some of us are singles, some couples and several small groups. We are all easy going and mellow. We have a rythm and respect for ourselfs, the gym and other gym members. We all get our workouts in everynight and manage to smile and laugh with each other. As a new member you will be more than welcome to get in your grunts and groans with us. All we ask is leave your problems and attitudes at the door. This area isnt big and there are only a few gyms. If you have caused problems at other gyms it will follow you. In the case of this bad reviewer her male friend was well known. He was only at this gym for two days when he started up bad mouthing the staff and equipment. He has a huge ego and to his credit he does have size. But there are bigger men and women members here that dont disrupt other members. It was a relief to see the ownership step up quickly. Now for all the great stuff. This is a brand new gym. It has equipment for everyone. Dumbells to 100 lbs. Multiple function benches. Smith machine. Squat racks. Cross fit equipment. Barbells. More than enough plates from 2.5 to 45 lbs. Free weightbplate machines. Plate and pin machines. Treadmills , stair climbers , elipticals and 3 styles of bikes(2 virtual reality ones). Tanning lay down and stand up. Hydro massage. Laser measuring to track your progress. The staff couldnt be more friendly and they know your name before you even swipe your card. Lexi and Issabella aka Laverne and Shirley keep the place flowing and spotless during the busiest time of the day. Yet always seem to find time to chat and laugh with every member. If you are a lady and dislike being hit on at a gym, this is the place for you. As I said the membership has grown solidly together since opening. We have welcomed the new members. We show respect for each other. Help and encourage each other. Respect the members who wish to work out solo . Come check out this hidden oasis. If you come at night and want to ask questions, just ask to speak to me or some of the other regulars. We will show you how the best gym in town runs. To the Ayers family. I say congrats. As the line from the movie says, If You Build It They Will Come. You built us our home. You made us feel welcome. You stood up for us at the risk of losing paid members. We will look after it, treat it as if we own it and help make your investment grow.

Avoid this gym at all costs! I have been a member here since 2019 and it has gone so far down hill…read morethat I finally cancelled my membership and went elsewhere. This place is a filthy & disgusting and not suitable for fitness activities. When Zane managed the place a few years ago it was clean, the front door lock functioned correctly, the wall clocks were set correctly, the air filtration system was well maintained, the staff were engaging, the towels and spray bottles were always filled and functioning, the gym rules were followed, and the equipment was well maintained. But now? This place is an absolute toilet! And speaking of toilets. I kid you not, the men's room toilet remained disgustingly "soiled" (I'm being polite here) for months! Yes, months! The men's room is disgusting! It's frequently out of toilet paper. The right sink bowl is detached from the countertop and falling in. The floor in front of the urinal is completely nasty. The urinal sanitizer hasn't been serviced in many, many months. And the gym flooring in general? It has not been vacuumed in many, many months!! I'm telling you, this place should be inspected by the health department. And the gym rules? Forget it! There is one person who routinely sits on equipment for several minutes on her phone....on speaker...that can be heard throughout the gym. And nothing is done about it! Dudes are routinely shirtless. Weights are routinely left on the machines for others to put back. Pads on some of the machines are collapsed and useless. Pins used to select weights on machines are routinely missing. The rubber grips on both straight bars and other bars are long since missing. There are empty water bottles and other trash routinely left at machines or on the floor. This place is so neglected and dirty that it really should be closed until it can be thoroughly cleaned. The owners, whoever they are, obviously don't care and have neglected it for years! DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM unless you prefer working it in squalor and filthy bathrooms. There are way too many other options in Port Orange and surrounding areas to waste your time and money at this dump. And don't discount possible health issues working out in such a filthy environment. I rarely leave bad reviews for businesses but this place is just nasty, neglected, filthy, woefully understaffed, and not suitable for fitness activities. STAY AWAY!!!!
