While…read moreI chose to stop there on my way home form work at 4:45PM, that was my decision and I expected to wait. I waited about 10-15 minutes because there were a few customers there before me but my experience was well worth it. I left at 5:35PM with a new phone. The longest part was transferring my info over to the new phone. Ahmad provided great customer service and the other team members were doing a wonderful job as well. Great location. Would recommend to anyone.

Here's what happened: I added a number to my existing account and paid for the sim card up front via telephone order placed through a customer rep. The rep told me that the card would arrive in 5 days or I could go into a local store and get it activated there if I needed it sooner. When I called the store however, I was told I'd have to pay again for a sim card even though I already paid up front. So I called a TMobile service rep a second time, who arranged to put through an order for a store pickup. She then tried speaking to the store about my picking it up without additional charges but they still insisted on my having to pay up front. TMobile customer service also tried to arrange a pickup at the 8309 Judge Perez store, and they too insisted I had to pay for the sim card I'd already paid for. I'd driven all the way there only to be told she had to have a manager's approval. So I called TMobile a THIRD time, from their parking lot, and still their customer service rep was unsuccessful at getting them to provide me this card without charge. At one point the rep offered to have me pay at the store then credit me the cost on my bill. But because of the attitude I was met with in there (not a good morning nor a smile) I told her I wouldn't give them a dime. Finally, after another long hold, the TMobile rep returned to offer me an overnight shipping of the sim card, which actually was even better because at least I didn't have to go into a store and breathe someone's "atmosphere." Bottom line, TMobile customer service tries to do right by you. But most all of the experiences I've had at the stores were negative. Take my advice, stay clear of them and order and purchase your equipment online. You're going to get much better treatment and possibly even a better deal, from people who DON'T act like your patronage doesn't matter.

The store was open and even though it was approaching closing time we did get the attention needed and were able to complete our business. Much appreciation to the staff for seeing this through.

As we settled in, a "crisis" arose as he couldn't find his cell phone. Both he and his Mom were convinced that his trip would be "ruined" without a phone, so the next morning I did 2 things: 1. Called the Airport to see if we could contact the cab driver in case he left it there. MSY has a neat tracking system that allows the specific cab to be located and contacted. 2. Schlepped down to the AT&T store to buy him a new phone. In the end, the cab driver did have David's phone, which we retrieved in the early afternoon without really impacting our trip. But before that happened: - The guy working at the AT&T store did a great job in getting him a phone (after a couple rounds of security confirmation with David's Mom on the line). - The same guy reversed the entire transaction after the lost phone was found. And in a good natured manner, of which we profusely thanked him and apologized for all the trouble he went through. During our time at the AT&T store, we also made the acquaintance of Alan Minor, also known as Skizm. He's a local artist who sells his wall art at the fence (water side) at Jackson Square. David not only purchased a water color piece later, but we got a lot of good food and entertainment recommendations for being at the right place as the right time.
