It's more than a haircut - it's a day at the spa! I chanced upon D'Salon Concept while looking for a place for my 11-year old son to get a haircut. While waiting for him, I was offered espresso, cappuccino, water, or a beverage. I accepted an espresso. It literally was served to me on a silver platter - with a gourmet cookie! Now that's service! Later, I was offered a second beverage. My son is picky about who cuts his hair and how it is cut, and he only wants to go to D'Salon now! Fortunately, despite the elegant and rich ambiance of the salon, prices for haircuts and services are reasonable and affordable. I decided that I would return to D'Salon (with a friend) for a haircut and services. Again, when I arrived, I was greeted warmly by staff and the owner himself, and I was offered a drink. I am growing my hair long, and it was previously damaged elsewhere from bleach, sun, and over-drying and flat ironing. I consulted with Mario, the owner, who created a treatment plan. With his knowledge about products and hair, the damage to my hair was repaired within a week without having to cut it! Mario spent time to teach me the proper way to wash, condition, blow dry, and flat iron my hair so that I can create that "salon look" myself. I was dubious that I'd be able to make my hair look the way he did when I walked out of his salon, but his teachings worked! Staff at D'Salon is personable, professional, knowledgeable, and well-trained. The facility is impeccably maintained, with all fixtures and surroundings from ceiling to floor looking clean and shiny. The atmosphere is soothing, yet trendy. Being from New York City originally, I appreciate a well-designed and managed salon. I've had a pedicure, deep conditioning, wash, and blow dry at D'Salon, and each person who tended to me provided over-the-top service that felt spa-like. I chose to write a review because all too often, consumers are quick to make a complaint, but not to offer praise. I hesitate usually to offer praise myself because many times, the first visit to a business is met with A+ service, but subsequent visits become "B" and "C" level service. First of all, Mario, Darie, and the staff make you feel like royalty by giving you an ambience that it is all about YOU today!! I have dark brown hair with lots of grey. They do a special mixture that colors all of my gray and gives me natural highlights. The haircut is out of this world it is exactly what I envisioned. They are true professionals and have integrity. They could have made more money by giving me highlights but instead they used my own natural hair color to get the same effect. You don't find that in a lot of places, they are honest and hard-working. In addition, They make you feel at home . They give you a tour of their beautiful salon.You are offered coffee, an outstanding cappuccino served in a beautiful fine china cup, wine or mimosas. They also have very healthy snacks.It's a little retreat at the end of a very hard day of work. Finally, they use amazing products that will keep your hair very healthy.The staff that washes your hair gives you an wonderful head massage that makes you fall asleep. I asked a friend of mine about the beauty salon from where she got her "highlights" since they looked astonishing beautiful to me as well as very natural look. The place was D' Salon, a gem in the heart of Coral Way, Coral Gables. I am very conservative experimenting and/or trying new places even though all I heard was very positive references. Right from the moment I was in D'Salon I felt very loved by the personal, specially by the owner Mario D' Romeo. The entire salon is great as well as their products. By the time they finish my makeover I looked like I was on the cover of a fashion magazine. A couple of days later humidity of Miami did not affect me at all, and for me that is a big plus.Very satisfied with my experience and highly recommend it. read more

He's a true gentleman and an incredible example of being a real person. He is the best colorist I've ever been to and I've been to the best salons all over the world. He is a top notch hairdresser and is a perfectionist. His staff Is the best and the results I have gotten EVERY time I've been to him, have been consistently incredible. He cuts my hair just how I like it. He listens, and I like the natural color I get. I have been going to d salon for 2 years, finally had to leave them a raving review. They took me from dyed pitch black hair to a beautiful strawberry blonde (no cooper lol) and they have maintained it perfectly for me. My hair is in gorgeous condition and their pricing is on point or lower than other salons I tried in the area before I discovered them.. even better they treat me like family. Only thing good there is the capuccino and its the same thing over and over these people need to vary people just dont want mimosas and drinks, the staff seems to be always in some type of dilema , waited 2 hours for Mario who was supposed to be there since my appointment was at 10:00 am to show up the staff kept giving excuses and wondered where even that mario who is also the owner was ? So fabulous. They gave me a glass of mimosa after a long day at work. Mario is spectacular-- he mixed this perfect color that looks completely natural if only I were that fabulous. Then he did this very fun cut with layers and side swept bangs. He's a total perfectionist and very in to customer satisfaction. And the prices were unbeatable for that kind of service.
