I did about 4-5 one-on-one private sessions with her and then did several day-training sessions - this is where you drop the dog off in the morning and she works on teaching them commands or works on whatever issues they have (aggression, anxiety, fear, etc) and they also spend some playtime at the dog park. When I would drive up to Rocco's, my dog would get so happy and excited - this is how I know that she was in good hands. Leby would send me a daily report on my dog's progress or if she had any setbacks that day. She would also suggest techniques that I could use at home to help my dog with her anxiety/aggression issues and how to teach her commands. Despite being hired for a part-time position, my schedule was constantly changed, my availability was not respected, and I was given little to no direction or guidance about what was expected of me. The way I was spoken to and treated was deeply upsetting. I often felt disrespected and looked down upon rather than treated as a valued employee. On my final day, the way I was being treated became so overwhelming that I experienced a panic attack and left the work environment for my own well-being. What happened afterward made the situation even more concerning. I was removed from the company's accounts, including the payroll portal, without a clear conversation about my employment or outstanding wages. After initially waiting for the owner to contact me, I reached out when I still had not been paid. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the situation escalated, and I was threatened with allegations of theft involving work-related items that I had been authorized to use. I have never intended to withhold company property and am willing to resolve any legitimate property concerns appropriately. I also found it inappropriate that unrelated past situations and events that occurred after my departure were brought into a discussion about my unpaid wages. Employees deserve clear communication, fair compensation, professional treatment, and a straightforward process for resolving disputes. A business that provides dog walking and training services has a responsibility to demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment--not only toward its employees but also toward the clients who entrust it with their animals. Based on my personal experience, I would urge prospective employees to ask detailed questions about job responsibilities, compensation, scheduling expectations, and payroll procedures before accepting a position. I hope the company takes these concerns seriously and makes meaningful changes to how it manages and treats its employees.

We were introduced to Dr. Cooper when we were told by our previous Vet that our dog had a tumor that was inoperable and that we should begin to say our goodbyes to our beloved Yorkie. We were given a suggestion to get a second opinion and were told to see Dr. Cooper. After reviewing our pup's records and tests and his examination, he said "I can save him." He preformed the surgery and removed a tumor that was the size of my 10 year old child's hand! True to his word, our dog recovered beautifully and lived happily for another 7 years! We've been bringing our dogs to him ever since. Dr. Cooper is kind, friendly and communicates very well. It's not cheap but if you want the absolute best, Sky Lake Animal Hospital is where you take your precious pet. They even send their reports and such directly to your insurance company! I'm writing this because I owe it to my sweet boy, Vincent, and to other pet owners who trust this…read moreclinic with the ones they love most. Vincent was a 13-year-old pitbull mix with the kindest, most gentle soul. After he jumped out of the car one day, he began limping and crying when we touched his leg, so we brought him to this vet, hoping to help him feel better. During his exam and x-rays, he was in visible pain. They gave him a high dose of a morphine-related medication to keep him comfortable. When the nurse set him on the floor afterward, his body collapsed from the sedation and he fell back, hitting his tailbone hard on the tile floor. The vet was in the room -- we all heard the crack -- and no one said a word. That fall had nothing to do with his real injury, but it broke my heart to see. It showed such a lack of care and awareness. No one warned me that he might not be able to stand after the injection or that I should stay by his side to support him. I had been sitting with him before they took him away, and if I had known, I would've been right there to catch him and comfort him like I always did. Over the next few days, Vincent's leg swelled so badly that he could barely move. The vet told me the x-rays showed a ligament tear that would require surgery. I was told an orthopedic specialist would perform it, but no one ever examined Vincent or spoke to me about it. Instead, I got a text saying I could drop him off for surgery -- no consultation, no questions, no real explanation. It didn't feel right. I followed my gut and got a second opinion. The new vet immediately knew something was wrong. He took more x-rays and, within hours, gently told me that Vincent had a very aggressive bone tumor -- osteosarcoma -- that had already spread. He couldn't understand how the first clinic had missed it; the damage to the bone was unmistakable. That moment shattered me. I realized my boy had been suffering through unnecessary pain, medication, and procedures that could have been avoided if the first vet had taken more care. I don't know if the outcome would have been different, but at least I could have made his final weeks more comfortable, with less fear and confusion. I lost Vincent shortly after. I made sure his last day was filled with love -- his favorite meal, his blanket, and me by his side the entire time. I still can't believe he's gone, and I'll never forget the way this clinic's neglect made his final days harder than they needed to be. I did speak to the doctor afterward. He apologized, but there's no way to undo what happened. I've lost all faith in their practice. Please, if your pet ever seems worse than what they've been diagnosed with -- trust your instincts. Get a second opinion. I'm so thankful I did, even though it came too late to save my sweet Vincent.
