I'm so thankful for Salata taking care of my pup as if he were their own. Chewie got really sick last time at daycare and they took him to their vet to get him checked out. Maria even texted me the next day (a Saturday that he doesn't go to daycare) to see how he was doing. I'm so sad that we are moving and Chewie won't have his fantastic daycare humans. But if you are looking for grooming, daycare, boarding, training, even just a pet supply store- this is the place you want! I just move on, but was so…read moredisappointed and disheartened at my dog's first grooming after moving back to Iowa from The Groom Station in West Branch, Iowa and not hearing back from the owner in response to my disappointment, that I feel the need to do so, for whatever it is worth. Not with $20 let alone $126. Here are pics of her recent groom job yesterday. I asked that they keep her long and that didn't happen and instead even shaved her bald in sections and very uneven everywhere. She didn't even have any mats yet, but that was her excuse. The pics don't even do it justice. Update: The owner did reach out and refunded the visit. She did want me to bring my dog back in for her to see (which I initially took offense to as if she didn't believe the obvious pictures but that is not why according to her).By then it would not look exactly the same since I had to do something to try to even things out while it grew out and I didn't want to cause my dog undue stress since I was not going to have anyone else mess with her at this time.. Luckily, it will grow back and eventually be back to normal but would be hard for me to be okay with same shop even with different groomer at this point.

Pick up my dog and there is blood everywhere; my car, driveway, house, and had to take him immediately to the vet who informed us his nail was trimmed so short the wick was exposed and bleeding excessively. On top of cleaning up blood I'm soothing my dog who now has to be on pain medication for a week. The older lady groomer is awful and rude. I should have listened to my neighbors that warned us of this horrible groomer. They admitted his groom was not to include a nail trim as he needs sedation, and his nails were already short. On top of the trauma, my lab has white flakes all over and itching. DO NOT get your dog groomed here!!
