I was in need of carpet cleaning for my rental property and I made several inquiries around SD and felt D-Mac was very responsive and perfect for my schedule. I messaged them via Yelp and got responses pretty quickly with a quote based on my needs. What help me decide on D-Mac is that it is a D6 business and my husband would appreciate me supporting D6 businesses! I was quoted $99 and $29 extra for stairs, and this priced was honored. You will get a phone call to confirm the day before your appointment, but I decided to call since it was 3pm and wanted to be sure someone was going to come to my property on time. I was given the timeframe of 10-12p for someone to arrive to start the process. Jason arrived at 11a. He quickly began to set up and pre-treat. He indicated that all windows should be open for air ventilation to help with the drying. I told him that my husband and I had to run errands and he was OK with us leaving. We just needed to remit payment before and he will just close up after he's done. He took my card info and did his work. When we came back, all was done. Quick and efficient. The next day when we stopped by to do a walk through with my property managers, the carpets were dry. We will definitely be using this company in the near future! read more

I can't say enough great things about this company. From beginning to end these guys were honestly my saving grace through this pipe leak. They handled our pack-out from our home into our storage pod and garage. They accommodated me whenever scheduling was needed. Having a pipe burst which causes you to move out is one of the most trying situations you can go through. However with d Mac they make it as easy as possible for you and take care of you. Thanks especially to all the movers who helped us, we appreciate you guys! read more

We had our right next door neighbor accidentally flooded our office floor so we searched for a flood & mold specialist. We use Yelp and found D- Mac Restoration Inc. These guys are very professional, easy to deal with and were immediately physically here at office to work on our building. Both the response flood team and restoration teams are great most especially Basil who brought in those massive blower fans, dehumidifier machines and took off our floor boards. Also, the reconstruction guy named Victor G. who came in to install our flood boards and painted then in the time that we requested. We had to shut down for half day and they met their deadline with excellent work. We are completely satisfied with the entire experience. I higly recommend them for exceeding our expectations. read more

Isaac from D-Mac Restoration lived up to the company's reputation on Yelp. He did a great job! He took the time to really clean the carpet. He spent over an hour making sure the job was done. The companies I have used in the past were in and out. I can totally see the difference between the way D-Mac cleans versus everyone else. Thanks Isaac! read more

D-Mac Restoration - Carpet Cleaning Near Me - San Diego, California

For some strange reason, the contractors for home repair stuff (like plumbing, etc..) in SD are priced unusually higher than compared to LA. I don't know if they are yanking my chain on the price tag, but I've had some bad experiences with contractors in SD that totally overcharged me on minor home stuff. Nowadays, I always do extensive research and remain highly skeptical of all contractors until they have proven otherwise. I'm happy to report that D-Mac Restoration is not a shady company and only charges you for the services rendered. I chose D-Mac to do my carpet cleaning because: - Lots of Saturday availabilities: even though I called only a few days beforehand and I wanted a cleaning done near the end of the month - Reasonable Quote: $80 for 3 areas, about 700 sq. ft - Staff is super friendly: When I called in, the lady who handled my reservation was super helpful and didn't mind my gazillion of questions. - The ability to do a carpet cleaning on a 2nd level of a 2 story condo building: some places I called were unable to accommodate that because they didn't have portable carpet cleaning equipment..they only had the big trucks that needed water support & the ability to get close enough to the unit. Robert showed up on time and was friendly & efficient. He helped with repositioning some of furniture to cover more carpet and provided us with little foam pieces to keep the furniture off the carpet while the carpet dried. The overall cleaning job was not as clean as my picky mother would've liked (difficult to tell during the initial drying period, but upon closer inspection the next day, there were still some residual spots) but I think Robert did a good enough job. I also appreciated that I was charged what my given quote was, and not stuck with additional sneaky "add-on" services. There's a sigh of relief when you've found a dependable business in an area you are no longer familiar with and I look forward to utilizing D-Mac for my future carpet cleanings. read more

Quick and easy. I found them on yelp. I called them to get my carpets cleaned for my big move out. My @$$h0L3 apt manager is super @n@L when it came to the apt. I'm Asian, I don't wear my shoes inside the apt. There were some dirt stains at the entrance that's about it. These guys came in cleaned everything and left the place spotless. I didn't take any pics, but the only marks I saw were the clean tracks from the carpet cleaner. They gave me a discount for writing this review. I asked what if I don't like their work? The guy on the phone was confident that I would be happy and I was. So if you want a discount too, tell them you saw them on yelp and that you'll be willing to write a review for them. read more

I HAD TO GO BACK FOR 2ND'S CAUSE THEY WERE SO GOOD... I moved out of my place and ended up needing a carpet service to clean the carpets and to add flea spray and guess who I called? (Jeopardy Thinking Music on now....) Yup, you got it! D-Mac! These guys are amazing! As usual, Dean takes your calls and is super friendly and helpful and Jason came out and did his magic and made the carpet look BRAND NEW! I am telling you, you cannot go wrong with getting your carpets cleaned when you call D-Mac! Plus you should check out their website cause they ALWAYS have a carpet special all the time plus, I even got another discount when I added a service on the spot! That's what I call RAD!! Thanks again D-Mac! read more

We had a difficult situation about 3 years ago involving moisture vapor incursion into our concrete foundation. D-Mac came highly recommended and that was a solid endorsement. The work that they did was explained to us and completed with total control of the situation. They did floor surface removal, reconstruction of a wall footer, painting, re-stuccoing....they were on time and worked cleanly. In the completion of the job, some small damage was done to oversized mirrored closet doors. Dan(the owner) indicated when it was time to replace the doors, he would make sure it was done correctly. It took us a number of years to get the vapor problem diagnosed and remediated by other companies that specialize in such things, but it was handled professionally and completely. After this, I called Dan to let him know that we were ready to the have doors installed and he had his team install new closet doors that I ordered, and they picked up from Dixieline Miramar, PERFECTLY(and at no cost for labor) within two business days. Dan is a straight shooter and will tell you what you need for a project, and will not push you towards unnecessary work. He stands behind the work his business does and we would use his services again in a heartbeat if they were required. read more

I only recently started writing reviews on Yelp again, and have to update the review on D-Mac, unfortunately. I feel badly that I didn't update it all these years, as I know I rely on the information in other people's reviews to help me make decisions about what companies to use. I also feel awkward about it because my interactions with the owner were very positive at the time and I was originally very happy with his company's work. However, within 2 months of our new shower being installed, the shower/ tub handle fell off. Since I felt like the owner of D-Mac had helped us out, I didn't call to let him know about that first failure. I just let it go. Then we began getting black mold in the grout (where the tub meets the fiberglass? shower wall). I tried everything to get rid of it, even calling the manufacturer at one point for advice. I was embarrassed and frustrated by it, but I thought it was just that I wasn't cleaning it right somehow. It didn't occur to me that it was an issue with installation. Then three years after we had our bathroom remodel, we discovered a leak under the bathroom sink that had gone undetected for awhile and damaged the cabinet, causing mold. When my husband took in the sink faucet to Lowe's, they said whoever had installed it had installed it incorrectly, adding some kind of molding or something that wasn't supposed to be there. And we asked for advice about the black mold at the same time, and showed them what type of shower we had (recommended by D-Mac, they bought it at Lowe's). Turns out the type of shower that was installed was not supposed to have caulking/ grout. D-Mac's employee had installed it incorrectly, again. Sometimes I guess you don't really know how good a job has been done (or not done) until months and even a couple years after the fact. Maybe the owner just had a really incompetent employee at the time, but if so, he should have done a better job of supervising him. We told him we were fixing it up so we could move, but ended up staying in San Diego. I can't help wondering if he either 1) didn't bother checking his employee's work since it was a low budget job or 2) realized the mistakes, but figured we'd be long gone anyway. Either way, it didn't turn out to be a good experience after all. The irony is we were afraid when we originally hired them that we had mold issues in the bathroom - but didn't. We only ended up with mold- under the bathroom sink cabinet and in the shower cracks that weren't supposed to have caulking- as a result of using their services. read more

DMAC came to my rescue with water damage and mold from condo above me. All I can say is that this company really impressed me with their work ethic and reliability. Dan the owner was very hands on and compassionate. When I cried at the damage I saw in my kitchen/vanity and 2nd bathroom, walls with plastic, and demolished, he was sincerely concerned. His Team were outstanding in restoring all. Each day there they were, tools in hand and working away. The backsplash they installed was beyond my expectation in restoring. WOW! If you've ever tried to hire independents to do something, I have found little reliability, but DMAC was on it fully committed to the professional outcome. THANK YOU DAN!!! and the guys! 10 STARS INSTEAD OF 5!!! read more

I'm very happy that we made the right decision to choose D-Mac to do the water damage restoration for us. I wasn't sure which company to use, so I called a few high rated companies on yelp. D-Mac responded very quickly and set up a visit. Christian checked our place carefully and gathered detailed information. He gave us a very reasonable quote. It was Christian's personality, professional attitude and the reasonable quote that made me decide to work with D-Mac. It wasn't a small job, as the water came into the room, so we had to tear out drywall of a large area and clean them up. Christian sent a great team, it only took them a few hours to set-up and tear off the wall, the drying took about 3 days, and then they used another half day to repair the wall, paint them and clean up everything. The work was really well done as it looks like nothing had ever happened to my home. Right at the end of the project, another water damage unfortunately happened in the evening. This time was even worse, as it impacted several rooms. I had an emergency call with Christian in the night and the team took care of it the next day. They were really responsible, making sure every piece of wood is dried before the replacement. The carpenter Christian sent was excellent, as his work made the kitchen cabinets look even better than before. The whole work this time was also done within a week. Such a relief! The whole communication process with Christian was very smooth, he explained in details about what need to be done and why, and coordinated with every team to make sure everything is on schedule. The final result exceeded our expectation. I appreciated all his support. Thank you! read more

Let me start by saying that I am in no way, shape, or form a filthy person, although if you would have seen my carpets you might have thought differently. The high traffic stains in my apartment were horrendous, and after realizing Target couldn't provide me with anything worth buying, I went straight to yelp to check my options. I chose D-mac after all the great reviews and their promotion for $99 out the door. I got a call the day of the appointment asking if they could come early because they were running ahead of time. I was all for that, since I quickly wanted to leave that filthy carpet and apartment in the past. The guy showed up ten minutes later, assessed the carpet, and assured me that even with the amount of stains it would still be $99 out the door. He was done in less than an hour and even steamed cleaned our linoleum kitchen floor for no extra charge! I recommend D-mac to anyone looking for anything better than a rug doctor to clean your nasty-ness! read more

Stoked! I haven't been this excited to review a company in a while. Long story short: great price, GREAT service (Jason was very personable and friendly, and on time to the minute) and our carpet is a color we've never even seen before! (In a good way) He was able to clean around the furniture we didn't have time to move, accepted payment by cash/check/credit card, and gave us the Yelp deal we asked for ($139 for three rooms, staircase, and hallway). And get this- the next day, I saw them back doing our neighbor's house! I only wish I had more carpet for them to clean! :D (Cue that's what she said) read more

We recently had a water leak in our house and was referred to Jim at D-Mac Restoration for repairs to damages. We needed dry wall patching, paint, laminate floor install, baseboards, kitchen cabinet removal and reinstall. Jim had the jobs all lined up perfectly so that when one was completed, they were ready and prepared to start the next one. He was very professional and very nice. I am very satisfied with all work completed. Of course dealing with dry wall repairs and the cutting of wood, dust is inevitable. We had used D-Mac's carpet cleaning services and they were able to set up an appointment for the following day. Overall, we are very satisfied for all services by this company. We have had estimates and work done by other companies and am so grateful to have found such honest and hardworking people. Fair prices and awesome work. Really appreciate everything you guys have done for us. After 2 months of plumbing nightmares, we can finally come home to our beautiful house. Thank you!! read more

I was selling a house and there was a leak that my tenants didn't tell me about. There was a small patch on the outside stucco where the leak damage was visible. The buyers insisted that everything be repaired and checked for mold. Most of the places I called wanted to tear down and rebuild the whole corner of the house. Some companies wouldn't even talk to me unless I started a claim with my insurance. D-Mac came out. They told me I was lucky and the leak happened in the best possible spot. They cut out a small patch of stucco and installed an access panel. No mold was found. Since they fixed the actual problem and didn't suggest ripping down the whole house they were the cheapest by far. read more

I needed my carpets cleaned and D-Mac responded the same day. Adan arrived within 5 minutes of the appointment time and went right to work cleaning the carpets. We're cleaning the house, top to bottom, in preparation for the in-laws to visit. We realized that we had better get our carpet cleaned or else they'd think we live in a barn. After much research and quote-gathering, we went with these guys and are very glad we did. Our one carpeted room (13x13) has been through three dogs in the past year; one dog was going through chemotherapy, which meant LOTS of bodily fluids and partial-solids coming out all over. One dog had a digestive issue that lasted for a few months. Then we got a puppy, who not only took a short time to house train BUT who likes to bring in plants from outside, shake the dirt and roots everywhere, and roll around in it. So, basically, our bedroom was more like a bathroom/garden/sickroom. It was NASTY. horrendously so. Now, i can't say that D-Mac saved our carpet. it still reeks. it's just that it reeks a little less. And, to be totally clear, the D-Mac rep we spoke to was very honest about not being able to save a carpet once it had been through Armageddon. in order to save it, we'd have to rip it up and replace the padding underneath. we can't afford that, so the steam clean with disinfectant was the next best thing. and, although it does still stink, it looks really good. it looks almost new, actually! no stains, no sign of its painful past, just a nice clean looking floor that stinks a little less than it used to. in addition to cleaning up our carpet, the fella cleaned our couch for a reasonable $10/foot. getting both our 8 foot couch and bedroom done cost us $150, which was $25-$150 less than we were quoted anywhere else. the couch came out wonderfully - no stains, no smell, nothing. it's like a new couch, minus the new couch smell. it just doesn't smell of anything at all, which is pretty cool. it doesn't stink, it doesn't smell like cleaning products, it's just there, not assaulting the nose in any way. wonderful! the man who came was extremely professional and quick; he was on his own, and so he had to unload the supplies, move furniture, do the work, and load everything back into the van all on his own while i stood outside with the dogs (and very excitable puppy, who thought that the hoses were way cool). he was in and out in about an hour! it was fantastic. i'd highly recommend them to anyone. read more

We had to have carpet cleaning done in very short notice, and D-Mac was there to the rescue. They were able to squeeze us an appointment in 2 days time on a Saturday at noon. So call days in advance if you want to have some flexibility with your appointment time! The people on the phone were very friendly and professional. They answered all my questions and were spot on with the price quote based on how many rooms + stairs I had. Saturday comes and "Dano's" calls me that morning. So I was a tad confused, because I didn't know D-Mac Restoration and Dano's Carpet Cleaning actually work together. So, when Dano's called me, I thought, "Didn't I hire D-mac to do the job?". But they are indeed one in the same. The carpet cleaner (I want to say Dano is his name) actually wanted to move UP the appointment time that day because he was available to do the job right away. That would have been awesome for me, except that I was still in LA at the time. So I jumped into my car and drove down the 5 like a madman. Unfortunately, I was hit with stretches of traffic from San Clemente down to Carlsbad. I felt terrible because I knew he was waiting for me at my complex to start the job. Needless to say, I was late and he had been waiting for me. + stars for being patient and being nice despite my tardiness. That's a minus star for me. But he worked fast and efficiently. He was extremely honest about the stains that probably wouldn't come off. For the most part, Dano got off most of the stains and left the carpet looking quite spiffy. The pricing was very fair as well. Definitely the people to call for a good, thorough carpet cleaning. Thanks D-mac! read more

EDIT The owner called me, disappointed in my initial two star review. He said that he would talk to the cleaner about the smudge I later removed, and he said that they schedule appointments in two hour blocks and my cleaner was actually right on time. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt regarding the scheduling, but I'm still annoyed about the cleanliness of the carpets. Either way, D-Mac clearly cares about their customers. That's "A-OK" in my book. read more

My husband, Steve, already gave a 5 star review upon completion of our 50k flood renovation. But I just wanted to follow up a year later to say that after a year, not only is our home more beautiful than ever, and we have had NO problems, but most importantly, Jim is a contractor that you can trust. Currently I am dealing with a landscape contractor that has not only baited-and -switched me, but has also verbally assaulted me, This just made me think about the excellent experience We had with Jim at Dmac. I guess I just expect professionals to be professional, but obviously that is not the case. Jim and his crew were in my home for several weeks, and not only was their craftsmanship exemplary, but most importantly I felt safe and respected as a woman in my own home. read more

I called on rather short notice and was able to get a carpet cleaning scheduled in 2 days. The employee who answered my initial call was very helpful and asked about any problem areas I was concerned about so she could include them in the job and also explained their current special. I was given a window of 2-4 in the afternoon. Isaac called me about 20 minutes ahead of time to let me know he was on his way and showed up promptly at 2. He took a walk through of my house and i showed him the areas I was concerned about. I had a red juice stain that he didn't know if he could get out, but he ended up doing an excellent patch job with some extra carpet I had instead of attempting it. I can't even tell where the patch is, it looks awesome! Isaac did a great job cleaning the off-white carpets in my living room and 3 bedrooms. The carpet is over 5 years old, but still looks good, thanks to regular cleaning. I've used several companies in the past and all of them were much more expensive. D-Mac did excellent work at a terrific value ($99) with very courteous and helpful employees. I will definitely use them again! read more

D-Mac contacted me after my yelp review; they indicated their job is guaranteed and offered to come back to rinse out my carpet and eliminate residue. I've used D-Mac twice. Once for my apartment and once for my car. I moved into an apartment from the 1920s. That said, the carpet was also from the 1920s. Jason did a great job sprucing that raggedy carpet up. The carpet looked and smelled ten times better. The second time I used them was to steam clean my car seats. I have light tan interior turned gray from new jeans, spills and everyday wear and tear. After Jason was done the interior looked brand new! It was amazing. I will definitely use them again for my steam clean needs. read more

My carpets hadn't been cleaned in about 2 1/2 years, and have sustained fairly heavy use. D-Mac came in and took care of business. They were fast, professional, and did a great job. There were also no suprises in the price; it was exactly what they quoted me. In addition to the carpet cleaning they also do carpet repair, and were able to fix carpet on the steps that had pulled off the staples. They did a great job. D-Mac was referred to us by a good friend. Now let me be that good friend and refer them to you. After receiving various quotes from companies large and small, our HOA contracted D-Mac to do the mold remediation and restoration of our condo. They chose D-Mac not only because of their reputation but because the quote was very reasonable. We have had quite a bit of experience with construction companies and crews--rarely positive. But, even from the beginning we could tell that this company was different. The quote was very thorough and complete. Dan, the owner really knows his stuff. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain to us the process of mold remediation and what was going to happen. His crew took great care in moving our furniture and protecting our new hardwood floors. They were perfectionists in every sense. From the bio-washing to the restoration. It was very clear that Dan takes time to train his crew in the details. They were also efficient and timely with the process and no real delays came up. When it was time for us to move back in, Dan's crew made it really easy on us. They moved all of our furniture back, put our bed back together and even put our silverware back in the drawer. I was shocked and amazed at how clean the place was. I would use D-Mac for any of the services they offer. They were truly amazing. They made everything so easy and Dan truly put our mind to ease during a stressful time being removed from our home. It is extremely evident that everyone at D-Mac Restoration takes great care and pride in their work. read more

I hired D-Mac Restoration based on their Yelp reviews. I called and they were able to get someone out the same day! Yay - I was so excited. I called around 9am and they said they would be here by 12.....They ended up being a little late, but I didn't deduct any stars because they were in constant communication with me, so I ran errands while I waited. No biggie. They were fast (and efficient) and best of all the price was very competitive! Everyone I spoke with in the office was very personable and informative. I've used companies before that leave the carpet a wet sloppy mess, but D Mac was different. The carpets were "damp" but were dry enough to replace the furniture by the same evening. There was no "funky" smell. I'm very pleased with their service and the job they did on our carpets. I will be using them again. read more

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF): if you need you carpets cleaned then hire D-Mac. Great service, great value, professional, and no issues. We researched carpet cleaning places on Yelp and all the positive reviews sold us on giving D-Mac a try. We have used others in the past from Stanley Steamer (horrible) to various small companies. Only one did a good job but the cost was $400. D-Mac cleaned a large front room (white carpet) and a small living room as well as steps for $90. Are you kidding me? I had some stains on the carpet so the guy asked what the stains were and chemically treated them based on the type of stain. They also cleaned the floor runners without us even asking and the entire job took about 60-70 minutes from start to pulling out of the driveway. It takes other companies half that time just to get started. We will definitely use them again, and my wife is planning to use them for her employers medical office. read more

I called D-Mac/Dano's Upholstery Cleaning in a panic after my cat suddenly decided to start marking our house, including on one of our new couch cushions. Chuck offered excellent customer service and asked me a few questions about my couch over the phone to see if it was something that I might be able to clean by myself. I really appreciated the time he took to try and save me some money! It turns out I needed professional help so I dropped my cushion off at their shop and Chuck again provided excellent customer service and even carried the cushion to and from my car for me. He was both professional and friendly. The cost was very reasonable too. Jason, the technician who actually cleaned the cushion, performed a miracle! I received it back two days later with no trace of the smell or stain of cat urine. Anyone who has tried to remove male cat urine from anything will know how amazing that is. I waited about a week to leave this review and there is still absolutely no smell or stain on the cushion. I hope that I won't be needing them again, but in case my cat misses a dose of his Prozac and takes aim at the couch again I am so happy to have their number on hand! read more

D-Mac Restoration restored my faith in their business. After the review I was contacted by the company and we were able to discuss what had happened. They were very nice and professional over the phone. They offered to make it right and were very concerned about how I viewed their business. They also apologized for not being able to take the credit card payment due to an employee being out sick and being short staffed. Those things happen and I understand their situation that day. Although I no longer need carpet cleaning services right now, I would be willing to try them again. Thanks D-Mac for your understanding and great customer service. read more

I love smooth and drama-free service! Was able to set up an afternoon (2pm) next day appointment on a whim. Dude got at our place right at 2, started right away, and was out an hour and 15 minutes later. I think his name was Isaac just cause that was the name that was written on the card. He seemed nice and didn't mind helping my husband move our son's bunk bed so that he could get the carpet under it too. My husband saw how super quick that magic chemical they used work on our carpet. We had tons of stains from raising two 2yr old corgis and they all disappeared! MAGIC I say.
