I finally went on Yelp, and found this place. Their website stated no new clients, but I decided to call and see if there was any openings. Low and behold it was that day they had a spot opened so I grabbed it immediately and I'm so glad to have a pet groomer close to where I live. Ivy the groomer not only did a fantastic job but I didn't even need to tell her what I wanted for Oliver, she just got it. The photo I posted is the second time I booked with them and this was on 1-28-23 and Oliver was in desperate need of a clean up. Not only did they take such care and detail, but they give you advice on how to maintain the fur in between grooming sessions. Now I bought a metal comb so the next time I bring him in, he wouldn't be in any agony from the matting because of their advice to comb him daily. Also Julie, who works the front is so sweet. She asked all these questions on how I wanted the cut specifically from the face, length and then the tail if I wanted it proportioned! Like what?!?! Her fur had become matted and needed to be shaved, which I understand, but the shaving process appears to have caused skin irritation. As a result, she is now uncomfortable and has to wear a cone to prevent further irritation. I am also attaching a photo for reference. After doing further research, I was quite shocked by the high price but decided to give it a try and have never looked back. I did not like taking my dog Cookie to get haircuts because when she would go to Petco for grooming services, it would take about 6 hours and my dog gets a lot of anxiety being around other dogs which would then give me anxiety as well during those 6 hours of waiting. Groombuggy on the other hand has been a lifesaver because I can consistently request for groomers we like and I have had nothing but great experiences. I first got paired with Sydney and my dog adapted to her very quickly, but after moving to the South Bay, we got paired with Francisco and he has been as equally as amazing! Although the price is high, I love knowing that my dog is getting 1-1 care and building that comfort with her groomer. Not only do I personally feel less anxiety as well, but I also appreciate the rapport I can build with their team as well. Their consistency in communication and transparency in letting me know if my dog is doing okay or too anxious, etc, is amazing. Scheduling an appointment and paying is very easy via text. Also, I live in an apartment now so Francisco lets me know when he's on the way and texts me throughout the grooming to let me know how Cookie is doing. I feel their team is very patient, understanding, and adaptable, which to me, is truly priceless. I see a lot of mixed reviews, but I personally love Groombuggy as someone who has struggled a lot with finding the right groomer for my dog. Not only did we find one great groomer, we found two!
