Love this place! This is my go-to ice cream place because I feel a tad bit less guilty coming here versus a regular ice cream shop lol! The workers are very friendly and they let you sample as many flavors as you want. I have gotten the chocolate and the funfetti cake. The chocolate was a little better but both were delicious. The ice cream is very light so you don't feel heavy and gross afterwards. My husband got a milkshake and he said it was so so good. The prices are not cheap but you get a big portion. We were in the same plaza getting some pizza and as soon as we were parking I spotted this place so of course I left some room for dessert, the concept of this place in awesome, they are low calorie non dairy ice creams, but the flavor is really good! They change the flavors per week I believe, I'm a fan of a good cookies and cream so of course I had to go with it and it was great I also added some peanuts and they were a good match! They also offer to take their flavors home with you. Service was good even though it was Sunday and it was actually a little busy! I got the Butterscotch soft serve. That was pretty good. The flavors were good. I don't think it was as creamy as I would like. I got the stacks which I ordered the Cookie Monster however they gave me the chocolate chunk... Which is fine. I requested the cookies on the side so that they don't have to remake it. Recently I have been to two locations of this delicious ice cream shop. I started doing a low carb diet and when someone told me about D'Lites Ice Cream I knew had to try it. The company advertises that the D'lites Emporium ice cream is low in sodium, sugar, fat, and carbohydrates. It is cholesterol free, and a healthier alternative to regular ice cream. If you are on a keto or low carb diet this is the place for you. This ice cream is creamy and delicious! I would never know I'm not eating regular full fat ice cream. Vanilla is always my favorite go to, but they have lots of flavors to choose from. They have daily flavors and daily specials , so there's always something new to try. You can always get free samples to taste if you're not sure. They also have a very large selection of take home containers in all kinds of flavors as well as ice cream sandwiches. Heard about this place from a friend so I just had to try. We have a dirty keto/low carb/low sugar lifestyle so finding this place was like a dream come true! A low sugar, low carb ice cream shop.....say it isn't so!!! Walked in and was amazed to see how many keto friendly foods they also had available for sale. I got the Chocolate peanut butter in a small cup. They really fill up the cup! I was also able to sample before I chose this wonderful flavor which was nice. This flavor brought back childhood memories of the pops I used to get that were the chocolate and banana flavor! It was absolutely delicious! My daughter who is not keto got the Milky Way and devoured it. She said it was actually really good and she'd get again. Winner winner ice cream dinner lol. Hubs also got the Milky Way and he liked it too. I did sample it and agree that it was scrumptious however I liked mine more! Before leaving I did purchase the keto bagels and had one this morning. Wow, actually delicious. I thawed it out for about 20 minutes and placed in the toaster. It was soft and airy. Wasn't dry and crumbly like most other keto breads I've had. The bagels are from a local bakery, Sammy's. Which I have on my list of places to visit. This ice cream shop is the perfect place for some yummy treats. Please visit and help support this business!!! Keep in mind, that this does cause the ice cream to melt faster. For a lighter version of an ice cream, it's not bad. But the ice cream flavors itself tend to be very average. Stopped in while on a low carb diet to see if this ice cream is as good as advertised. This is a chain ice cream store first opened in 1982 in Plantation, Fl. They have chocolate and vanilla soft serve. Every day they offer custom flavors using their soft serve and adding different flavors. The vanilla based flavors have only 6 gms total carbohydrates. The chocolate based flavors have 2 gms total carbohydrates. A 1/2 cup serving of each only has 50 calories. Some notable flavors I've tried were peanut bunny, German chocolate, Carmel fudge, and butter cookies. They have several sizes of cups and even cones and toppings. However these last items will add to the Carbs and calories. There is a freezer case of ice cream containers of many flavors to go. They also sell low carb and keto friendly pasta, cookie mixes and snacks. I found that the ice cream is delicious and you would not know it is low carb. Some of the custom flavors do have an "artificial" taste, but many don't. I think this is a great shop if you are looking for a healthy cup of ice cream. read more

Of the 3 D'Lites locations I visit in Tampa Bay, this one may have the prettiest setting! Check out the tranquil little courtyard in the back, with ducks and fountains. Also there's NO ONE ever here, I've never had to wait in line. Obviously, their menu offerings are basically the same as their other locations, with a delicious variety of guilt-free soft serve flavors, although for some reason the consistency of their soft serve seems softer than the others. Not a positive or negative, just depends on your preferences, but it certainly does melt faster!
