It was uncalled for and rude to scream like that even while the male employee sitting by the scanner watched as my husband scanned 4 different cards and told her he seen us scan in. This happened on the same day that my daughter and I just walked out of the restroom and a teenaged guy came walking into the women's locker room like he belonged there (June 16 or 17). The mother followed a minute behind and was complaining that their huge cooler on wheels hit the corner every time they walked through the locker rooms (so how many times has this guy walked through!?). It's disturbing to me that this is a vulnerable place for women yet this clearly male presenting 16-17 year old was comfortable walking in. The women's locker room entrance is right in front of the desk, how did the screaming employee not say a word to him but yelled at me to triple check that I signed in. I will not have to keep constant eyes on my daughter while in the locker room. The place is small, the rules are many, and the other patrons aren't ideal. Some people there expect special treatment and act out of they don't receive it. A lot of mothers dress super inappropriate and don't watch the 4+ kids they always have with them. The weight/machine room is small and people are extra rude by not wiping down anything when they're done and kids often treat the machines like toys. The pool is nice but a lot of kids (the ones being ignored by parents) aren't very well behaved and families very much enjoy blocking the pool stairs. For the cost of a membership, I expected more. I would like to see better enforcement of pool rules (indoor and outdoor), a larger workout room with more/better workout equipment, a watchful eye for the dressing room, open gym time, and just an expansion overall so it's not so cramped all of the time.

Equipment still out of service. Less hours open than a 1960s bank. TV is always on Fox News.read more

Parking near the site filled up fast and they also offered shuttle buses from Crossroads church parking lot. This park is beautiful. The grounds have little lakes with water features, plenty of open well groomed spaces, and the baseball field is gorgeous. The stands look to be newer and are comfortable and ample. At the concession stand there are free hot dogs, drinks, candy, and chips. There were probably over 25 foods trucks at this particular event and you got free tickets to use as you wanted. Some vendors such as the kettle corn, or the ice cream were free without tickets. You also had to option to purchase with card or cash when you used up your free food tickets, and tipping the food trucks was encouraged so bring cash. There were bounce houses for the kids, a mini t ball type field for kid play, and even a free book mobile. The security here is pretty strict and gives a great sense of safety. Only clear bags of a certain size are allowed, check the website for details. I was impressed by how organized everything was. Patrons were mostly well behaved however some became greedy over free items towards the end of the event. I will definitely look forward to coming back for more events in the future.

I called and asked if there was a separate entrance and she yelled to someone that they forgot to open the doors. The area was quite a bit smaller than I expected. It was a single room with inflatables to hide behind. It wasn't really organized very well. The individual leading the games would ask everyone if they want to do rematches or play a different version of the game. Of course with different opinions I felt it would be best for the company to choose how the session is laid out. I believe the managers young daughter was joining the session and she walked out of the area a few times and they would ask if the speaker if she was coming back. The guns jammed a lot on the players which was getting frustrating for them. The kids had fun so that's what mattered but as the adult paying for everyone, I just felt it could have been much more organized. The individuals running the show were nice.

Seeing as we were attending an event my review may not reflect the regular day to day operations. Another Yelper commented on the poor shape of the fields. This is no longer the case. All 4 of the fields are beautiful. Some are synthetic turf and others are the traditional dirt and grass. All around the park are fun, baseball themed signs. This park looks much more professional than most youth sports parks/ complexes. I am not sure if people are allowed to drop by and use the fields, or if they are exclusively for members. Towards the park entrance is a nice sized playground and basketball courts. Weather permitting, it would be easy to keep one child entertained while another is taking classes. Well shaded, this park would be nice to stop by even if one didn't have a reason to visit the Youth Academy. There is now an indoor training facility, complete with a field and batting cages. Several meeting rooms may also be found on the ground floor. Since everything was new it all looked great. It looks as if they are starting things slow. The brochure that was being handed out only listed classes for ages 9-18. Supposedly, the facility is for ages 5-18, but nothing is listed for ages 5-8. They may be waiting to see how things go, then add classes for the younger kids. They offer both baseball and softball instruction. From what I can tell, the only way to sign kids up to to go to the facility itself. The grand opening event included free food, games, music, & fireworks. It was a nice even for the kids. My children had lots of fun. They loved getting to bat both indoors and outside. It looked like the organizers were using this even as an opportunity to clear out t-shirts from past events. My kids each came home with several shirts; dates on the shirts ranged from 2012-2014. In the minds of my children, free shirts with the Reds logo, score! My kids didn't care, and were very excited to get them.

This park is the home of the CRC summer baseball league. The fields are in terrible condition and…read morehave been acknowledged by athletes by saying "Welcome to Roselawn." Somehow, two high school teams call these fields home. Perhaps the best part of the park, the playspace/jungle gym, has been removed. The parking lot is a common meeting location for drug dealers. The lights go out promptly at 11:45pm, which makes for an adrenaline filled stroll back to the car in the parking lot hoping a killer is not lurking from behind a nearby tree. There have been several reported shootings over the past few years, making everyone leary of entering the park, especially at night. Frequently people will come in and let their pit bulls rome free. Sometimes, however, some of the locals will sit down and watch a game and cheer for one team or the other. On a typical game night during the week, parking spaces are a premium, leading to people parking in the grass or making up their own spots on the roadway. All this being said, the park makes for a good atmosphere for a summer baseball game. If you're looking for a place to catch a decent baseball game with a chance of not making it home again, this may be the place for you. Although, in the seven years I've been playing at this park, I have not had a problem. Just be aware of your surroundings and enter at your own risk
