I DO NOT recommend JJVA for families seeking true development and support for their athletes in…read morevolleyball team play. Unless your child is placed on the top-tier "Team A," their growth, well-being, and concerns may be overlooked or dismissed by the staff. In addition to the inequitable treatment of athletes, it's troubling that JJVA entrusts teams to individuals presented as "experienced coaches" who, in reality, are parents of a player on another team at the same facility but have ZERO qualifications to be an ACTUAL volleyball coach---to the point in the FIRST TOURNAMENT GAME, the REFEREES HAD TO STOP the GAME AT PLAY to TEACH the COACH HOW TO DO HER JOB from HOW TO ROTATE PLAYERS/ HOW TO SUBSTITUTE A PLAYER, ETC.---ALL WHILE THE FACILITY WAS PACKED WITH HUNDEREDS OF PATRONS WHO PAID $$$ for legit competition. This undermines the integrity of the program and the experience athletes and families expect when they commit time and resources to a competitive club. This message is shared not out of bitterness, but out of huge disappointment--and in the hope that it may help other families make informed decisions and encourage JJVA to reflect on how ALL athletes deserve respect, support, and have qualified guidance.

I can honestly say that signing up classes at Bittersweet was one of the best decisions I ever made. Everyone, including the other students, are incredibly supportive and welcoming. I have been coming for over a year and I look forward to every class. As a bonus I'm stronger than I've ever been and feel great. Please keep in mind that the negative reviews posted are primarily by people who are not students at Bittersweet. They spoke with someone on the phone, were late for class and wanted money back, signed contracts without reading them, didn't want to participate in warmup (which is essential for preventing injury and performance) or wanted to be put in advanced classes without meeting the standards set by the instructors for good reason - to assure safety and prevent injury. Students wrote glowing reviews because the studio deserves them.

Her sweet bubbly personality is an added bonus. She will have you walking out of class feeling sore (in a good way) and overall accomplished. I'm hooked, and I can't wait to keep showing up and bettering my new skills with pole. If you're nervous don't be. Everyone is so supportive the entire time.Just do it, you won't be disappointed!

We've been part of the Jewish Community Alliance childcare and youth programs for over a decade,…read moreand I can honestly say it has been one of the best decisions our family ever made. Both of my daughters practically grew up there. What started as childcare became a true second home -- a place where they were known, encouraged, and genuinely cared for. The staff never treated them as just another name on a roster. They invested time, patience, and heart into helping them grow not only socially, but academically as well. Today they are confident, respectful, and motivated young adults, and I credit much of that foundation to the nurturing environment JCA created for them year after year. The programs balance structure with fun, responsibility with belonging, and education with character development. If you are looking for a youth program where your children will be supported, challenged, and valued, JCA delivers. We are deeply grateful to the dedicated staff who helped shape our daughters into the people they are becoming.

The women's locker room has a sauna and steam room. Membership is based on income. If cost is a problem, they will try to work with you to keep you as a member. The camps and school are expensive. They welcome your questions and concerns if you ever have any. Overall, good place.
