After exam, a treatment plan was presented by Sam the assistant who did the X-rays. There were three columns of numbers on the plan; Amount--Pri Ins--Patient. I made it clear to Sam my health insurance would pay zero toward plan and she indicated zero ins was listed. The first procedure, deep cleaning half of mouth was listed, Amount $592--Pri Ins $0--Patient $444 . I agreed to this. (see image) I was very impressed with Dr. Park, so I called my daughter and recommended she visit and get current with Dental care. On Feb 15, I returned for first procedure, half mouth deep cleaning. While it seemed rushed the procedure was satisfactory. On the way out, the woman at the back counter demanded $592. I thought she was adding amount from first visit, as my understanding was that the fee was $444 for today. I thought she had added on the X-ray/exam visit and advised those amounts should be submitted to Insurance as they would cover that. I paid the $444 and left. On Feb. 20 my daughter went in for exam/X-rays. Sam presented her with treatment plan. It showed for four fillings, Amount $1332--Pri Ins $0--Patient $922. Sam clearly told her $922 would be her cost. She was happy all would be done in one visit. On Feb. 29 my wife received a text message demanding payment. As she had not been to the office in months, she called to inquire. On speaker phone I heard it was my account being referred to. I spoke up and explained to front counter lady that my understanding was the Patient amount $444 was the total and thought Office was granting write off as shown on plan. The front office lady then told me it was the office's "prerogative" which amount to charge. I immediately canceled future appointment. On Mar. 5 my daughter went in for her fillings. After having been told her total would be $922, she was charged $1332 on way out. Is this what passes for proper office procedures these days? Seems like bait and switch to me. If you elect to use this office (Dr. Park) watch out.

*Story Time* In 2022 I paid $5000 cash and $600 card for my…read morebraces. I was 9 weeks pregnant. During that time my gums would become severely inflamed and sensitive although I was doing everything my orthodontist said. Throughout my whole braces journey the orthodontist would constantly be rude about the fact my gums were inflamed knowing pregnancy is a huge factor. In 2024 after I had my son I went to an appointment for my braces. I was laid on the table under the spot light with the sunglasses when the ortho said "can you see alright so I can show you this?". As soon as I said yes he snatched the sunglasses off my face My immediate reaction was to say he didn't need to act like a dick about it. That made him extra mad so he said my treatment was over, I was scanned for my retainer, and rescheduled for 6 weeks. Well because my braces weren't adjusted I had a tooth that ended up twisting and slightly sticking out. On September 11, 2024 I went in to have my braces removed, the twisted tooth caused by them not adjusting my braces was not fixed, and they did not inform me that they didn't have my retainer until AFTER my braces were off I got my retainer in the mail 5 WEEKS after my braces were removed. My teeth had already started shifting and my retainer did not fit. I called to talk about options and they said I would have to pay $700 for a new retainer. Why would I have to pay $700 because they removed my braces without a retainer and teeth that no longer matched the retainer? Not to mention I literally gave them $5000 cash They said if I can't afford it I have to get a chin strap to keep my mouth closed and force the retainer on my teeth. I haven't worn it in a while but sometimes the pressure on my teeth shifting gets to be too much. Not I just shove dental picks in between whatever tooth is bothering me But for real NEVER trust D'ascoli orthodontics

We are fully nomadic for 16 years now so go to many different dentists wherever our travels take us and Dr. Ha is a real pro. He did a crown on one of my zirconium implants and did a great job and charged a very fair price...their hygienist Kathy is fantastic too...did many cleanings over the years with her as we would visit Tahoe to ski, and their front person Brittany is always very helpful and accommodating...I really would love to give all my business to Dr. Ha if our future travels bring us within close proximity to Tahoe and his office, especially since for my crown for example, he was willing to lower his price and almost match another dentist's estimate, which was great, because I preferred Dr. Ha to do it, because he is a real pro and truly does a great job and takes pride in his work, which is not always the case with other dentists, and we've been to many in many different states.
