Great hospital, incredible doctors and staff. The ICU and…read moreheart doctors saved my life twice. The community, especially Philadelphia depends on its doctors, services and location.

I never thought that I would be treated horrible due to my appearance. I'm an African American Muslim woman. As soon as I was brought to the floor there was a white nurse who looked at me with a very disgusted look, at the time I noticed the look but, I was to worried about getting treatment for a very serious condition to give much thought to it. However, on 5/2/26 I had this same nurse her was Lorena from 2 south . She came in the room , stated her name and left out. Then she came back in ( the whole time with a very disgusted look on her face as if I was an annoyance to her). She came to give me meds and I asked a questioned about the meds , she instantly got a attitude, and walked out of the room while I was on a heart monitor and never came back in the room. I called for a different nurse and she blocked my request. She left me that way all night with no care. Thank God there was a tech by the name of Mia! She stepped in and help me. I was traumatized by this incident and was ready to leave . None of the Dr.'s addressed the issue of racism that could have caused a death. I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE AFTER BEING IGNORED BY A UNPROFESSIONAL CAUCASIAN NURSE WHO WAS SO DISRESPECTFUL TO THE FIELD OF NURSING BY HER ACTIONS! SHE LEFT THE ROOM NEVER RETURNED TO MY ROOM EVEN AFTER THE MACHINES ALARMS WERE GOING OFF NEEDING TO BE ATTENDED TO! LAKENAU SHOULD NOT HAVE THIS WOMAN AROUND SICK PATIENTS WHEN SHE'S RACIST! SHE CAN CAUSE A PATIENT TO BECOME TERMINALLY ILL ! LAKENAU NEEDS TO HAVE HER INVESTIGATED! I'M WRITING THIS BECAUSE THERE ARE VERY SICK AND DYING PATIENTS ON THAT FLOOR, AND THEY ARE PEOPLES GRANDPARENTS, MOTHERS, FATHERS, SIBLINGS , AUNTS AND UNCLES! On the bright side I want to thank the KIND SOUL MIA for coming in and helping me! She was a TECH who acted better and showed a skill set of human kindness!

My issue is they only seem to test for Covid. Once that test comes back negative the nurse practitioner tells you some dismissive catch all nonsense and sends you on your way. Without a doctor in PA -- and one I'm not jumping for joy about in FL -- I pulled up urgent care facilities. Main Line seemed the most reputable. Plus it's close. I was very pleased with care rendered and the personnel I dealt with. The receptionist was polite, the nurse professional, the doctor competent and pleasant. My questions were patiently answered, and I left with a gameplan. The reality is, with a practice based primarily on walk-ins, you'll likely have to wait. Expect it! I told the nurse about my history with pneumonia. (I actually had it twice.) Without question, the x-ray tech came for me and took two images, which were read before I met with the doctor. The facility is hooked up to Epic, which is important. They were able to see my medical history, prescriptions, etc. When I got home I received a link inviting me to sign up for My Chart -- also important for continuity of care. The facility has what you need, decent hours AND there's a big parking lot in the back, which I see is a big deal in Philadelphia.

I just submitted a review for Dr. Sandler on vitals.com…read more(http://www.vitals.com/doctors/Dr_Susan_Sandler.html), but wanted to make sure the review was also on Yelp. The short version: Dr. Sandler is THE BEST! The long version: I had not had a regular doctor for several years. I came to see Dr. Sandler in 2005 due to some odd symptoms I had been experiencing for a number of months. Although it was unusual for her since she had just met me, she suggested I have an MRI based on a physical and our conversation about my symptoms. An MRI?! I thought that was ridiculous, but humored her, anyway. The following week, the MRI results came back indicating "possible multiple sclerosis". While I would prefer not to have this disease, I am eternally grateful to Dr. Sandler for using her (significant) intelligence, medical knowledge and medical intuition to arrive at that diagnosis. Many people go untreated for years without treatment since MS symptoms can resemble other health. I was a patient of Dr. Sandler's for the next 2 - 3 years until moving to LA. My wife and I have been debating whether or not to move back to PA in the future. While I prefer the weather in LA, I told her that being able to be have Dr. Sandler as a physician, again, would be a big plus if we ever moved back. Dr. Sandler is a wonderfully talented physician who is very caring about her patients. I highly recommend her as a doctor and a person and wish she were located in LA.

He did not review any of the labwork I sent over prior to my consultation. He then finally reviewed my labs after I spent over $400 on IV treatments and says the treatments did not work due me having too much malabsorption due to weight loss surgery. Why didn't he tell me this from the beginning? I asked for a refund and he refuses to give me one. What doctor waits until after you spend money on IV treatments before reviewing your bloodwork? He is very unprofessional, unethical and immoral and I hope this serves as a warning. They are only interested into funneling you into their profit generating useless IV treatments.

We've been going to Dr. Lipton for about 20 years now and his evaluations and treatment are spot on. It's a pretty decent drive (distance & timewise) for us but it's worth the trip. His treatments vary per ailment or injury and he always follows up with us on results of scans, tests or blood work. He recommends preventative measures that we find very effective and neither my wife or I take any prescription medications and haven't for almost 20 years. He is very knowledgeable and continues to learn and evolve with the times and we would trust no other doctor as much as Dr. Lipton for advice and treatment.
