So I started researching on various dentist who are participant in my insurance as well as experienced with good customer ratings. I found Dr. Hoffman to be very experienced (technically and academically), patient centric, associated with SIUH, and more importantly have wonderful staff who always try to assist you and give comfort out of the way. The day of the surgery, as I was so nervous, my expectations were overcome when I came out of anesthesia seamlessly. Reasonable swelling followed but the prescribed medicines suppressed the pain and controlled the infection and swelling. I got a followup call the day of the surgery from the staff checking to see if everything was fine and shared tips to follow and avoid. Very impressed by the overall experience with Dr. Hoffman's skill-man ship of tooth extraction and post care followup. Oh! and forgot to mention, the office gives a luxury touch, spacious, very clean and well decorated with paintings and LED. Prior to my surgery, during consultation appointment, I found Dr. Hoffman to be very detailed in understanding my medical case and communicated well in explaining the step-by-step approach. I recommend Dr. Hoffman and his team for their utmost professional services without any hesitation.

The first couple of days I was a hot mess, but here I am, zero pain, the expected bruises are all but gone and my mouth is back to its new normal. Dr. Hoffman is a wonderful doctor - he took the time to speak to me before the surgery and explained what he was going to happen that day. He put the IV in me and the next thing I knew, I was waking up. Every single person in that office is better than the one before! As I was sitting in the big chair waiting for consultation, I was looking at my X-RAY and said to my father, "What is that??" "What is what honey," he replied. "THAT!" I exclaimed. "That grey stuff around my tooth" (lower right.) I stood up and pointed to what I saw. It was a grey mass with two white dots inside of it. Well, turns out my mouth decided to grow a cyst around my lower right tooth, and the cyst decided to grow its own tooth haha! Dr. Novo removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth along with my cyst and its tooth in one shot. I am glad I got it all done at once, recovery was brutal and had I had to have gone back I probably would not have. Not a reflection on him at all, simply because I don't think I could have gone through the process a second time. So for about a week, I had SCFS. Severe Chipmonk-Face Syndrome. My face was very very swollen but that is normal with the nature of my oral surgery.

I was…read morenervous at first bc this was my first time getting a surgery in my mouth and I was also a cancer patient at the time, but it needed to get done. I will say Dr. Berk is a professional oral surgeon and knows what he is doing! He put the IV in my arm so gently and fell asleep immediately. I felt absolutely no pain! Even after the surgery, i have little to no pain at all. His whole staff is very nice and accommodating as well! They even called to check up on me to make sure i was doing okay! His prices arent too crazy. I would def recommend going to Dr. Berk if you need any type of mouth surgery!

He did an extraction and charged me 389. for anesthesia which I didn't need and was very rude to me when I returned because 2 teeth needed to be pulled and he charged me twice for anesthesia. When I spoke with him I'm a professional way as I been an employee of Northwell for 26 years and I always went out of my way to help patients. He was rude snd said do you want me to pull all you teeth out. he never examined Me two weeks later I called still in pain he tells me I have an infection and he will need to do a debridement so it can heal. Gives me an appointment on the day of he takes an X-ray snd tells me in a mean way that he not doing anything because there is no infection he continued to tell me it not my gums it's me. So therefore he told me it's in my mind. he said to go to another oral surgeon he is done. I'm still dealing with this infection since end of July. now I just made an appointment with another dentist. His office staff is not friendly at all as I had my cousin who is a physician on the phone and she heard the entire conversation. He is uncaring rude bully and money hungry.
