Great care, IF YOU CAN GET THROUGH! I visited this office once in September 2024…read more I had a great experience with the whole staff from booking the appt all the way through my appt with my doctor ,But.... For a month now I have been trying to book an appointment. But every time you call during business hrs ,you get an audio prompt, and no matter what number you press , you get the same message saying the office is closed and to call back during normal biz hrs. They have a number for after hrs exchange but that is answered by numbskulls who don't get your message to the doctor. I tried calling their other location today and got the same message but with an option to text if you needed an appt. So I'm texting trying to get a doctor appt???? And let's just say the person texting me back was not a communication expert !!!! Supposedly their phone system " has been down for over a month " wtaf??? Oh and the online patient portal says I don't exist . Oooookaaay. Never in my life have I heard or experienced a doctors office with no phone system. The very least they could do is have an outgoing message EXPLAINING THE SITUATION to patients, apologizing for the situation and give them a viable option to making an appointment or getting rxs refills. A pharmacy can't even get through!!!!!

Doctors scare me, mainly because I know for a fact that just like every other profession, there are both good and bad ones. This man, I trust. I drive all the way out to Ballwin from downtown because he's just plain worth the drive. I've never had a better physician. This man is not only as sharp as they come, but he really cares. He sits down, discusses everything with me, without the slightest hint of condescension, apathy, or impatience. He's always proactive, and has never let me down. If you're looking for a physician, I suggest getting on a waiting list for this man immediately.

This doctor and staff are totally incompetent. Dr Gage being my primary care doctor , I contacted…read morethe office because I need parts for my C-Pap machine and I'm on Medicare. Gave them information on where I did sleep study and then waited to hear back from them. Finally called them back and was told that that company did nor deal with Medicare. They told me that they reached out to a company that excepted Medicare and that they placed the order and I should hear back from them shortly. Waited a few days , called the office back and told them that I hadn't heard back from anyone. The gave me the number and told me I could try contacting them myself. I called the C-Pap parts place and was told that the doctors office didn't give them the information they needed to fill the order. So I called the doctors office back and was told that they had sent ALL the paper work back to the parts place. Called the parts place back and was told they needed a signed order as to why this was medically necessary. Called doctors office back and was told I needed to contact my ENT doctor back or the place where I had the sleep study done. Told the lady that I didn't have a ENT doctor and that I had given them the name of the place where I had the sleep test done to begin with. They contacted them and found out that the sleep study place did not deal with Medicare. That's when the doctors officetold me the had contacted this outside company who sold parts ans delt with Medicare. Now Dr Gage'soffice is telling me that Dr Gage refused to sign off on me being able to get the parts I need for my C Pap machine. I have never delt with a more incompetent Doctor or doctors office staff. Stay clear of this man.

Their referral department policy is to wait until the day before the appointment to send it and normally it doesn't get there in time, Waste of your time and the specialist you waited a month to see. Getting the referral sent requires a lot of time calling and holding on phone for 20 minutes at a time- babysitting staff to do their job, for two days prior to your appointment. Disgusting how this process is handled at this office. Dr Gage is ok as a doctor but your only as good as your team .....

I did a quick google and decided to go ahead and check her out, she is a Physicians Assistant which I actually prefer. I saw the same Pediatric Physician my whole life, then switched to Family Medicine where I was another 9 years, so I've been anxious to find someone new in St. Louis where I recently moved. I'll tell you what, Claire didn't disappoint. And to be honest, I think I like her better than my Pediatrician AND first adult physician combined. She was warm and inviting, listened to everything I had to say, had great advice, and was super knowledgeable. She's also trained on Pap smears, so for the women out there, check her out, she's a one stop shop. She would be an amazing provider for anyone. I could go on forever about how amazing she is, but you're just going to have to check her out yourself. If you're on the search for a new primary care provider, look no further, Claire is your girl!

Since SLUCare is associated with St. Louis University School of Medicine, the doctor you see consults with fellow professors, and instructs and mentors students. I think there's a lot of competency and accountability built into a connected system like this, and that makes me more confident about the quality of care I'm receiving. Of course, sometimes it means that an extra doctor or medical student is sitting in on your exam. This may not feel so wonderful if you're shy. In my case, when a couple of young doctors peel back my privacy gown to check me out, it just means I have more material to weave into the tall tale I tell my wife. During last week's visit, I started out with obligatory stops at stations for insurance-billing, registration, and nurse medical history review. Then, since my last dermatologist recently moved out-of-area, I was introduced to Dr. Tarbox, whose manner was just about the best I've ever experienced in a physician. She immediately made me feel comfortable, really listened to me, did the full-body skin check, explained thoroughly what she was seeing, went away while the nurse pricked the needles in to numb me up, then carried on a pleasant conversation while she sliced and bandaged my face and neck. After about a week, you can look at me and not cringe - I am no longer hideous!
