Once he passed me he was speeding at very unsafe speeds during traffic. Fast forward to yesterday, 4/9, I just so happened to see him again on 4th street coming up to Commercial in San Jose. He was tailgating another vehicle and honking at the driver very aggressively. When stopped at the light he came up very close to that vehicle as if he was going to hit that vehicle. In my experience, they usually say they'll come over in a span of 4 to 5 hours, only to arrive in the last hour. But not this company. No waiting and wondering for hours about when they'll arrive! I thought the repair was not simple since it involved replacing a meter valve and a couple of pipe fittings. But he finished it in less than an hour. I thought the work done was excellent. My bottle was an exchange already "honestly it's the only way to go as the bottles have to be recertified after so many years anyways, exchanging the bottle guarantees that your bottle is safe and recertified" To get a recharged exchange 85 CFS bottle it cost $156.97 for 100% Argon. "again they don't charge you anything for the exchange bottle" The lady I spoke with said she was about to go to lunch but would wait until I arrived just to help me out. I told her I was about 1/2 hour away , sooooo..... she said no worries and would wait anyways!! When I arrived they had the bottle waiting for me, I was literally in and out in about 10 minutes! If you're a new restaurant owner and are between purchasing a CO2 gas cylinder or leasing from air gas. Save yourself a ton of money and just purchase the cylinder. These guys will charge a whopping 77 a month to lease a cylinder with literally no benefit to you as a consumer. They will claim " we'll manage the account and after 5 years make sure the kegs are inspected and up to date. " These guys won't lift a finger and actually wouldn't even know you were a client if they didn't send you a monthly invoice. They also will charge you a delivery fee of.... Wait for it... 155$. They charge this regardless of whether you own or lease a keg, so again no benefit in leasing vs owning. You can purchase a refurbished full C02 cylinder for 150$ an 8 minute drive away at Carbonic Services. Our four keg tap system (we don't sell a ton of beer, maybe 1 keg a month) this cylinder will last about 2 years. If you ever have an issue in the San Jose area the branch manager: Kyle is nearly impossible to get in touch with. I called for over a month, 3 times a week, left multiple messages, I also had multiple email correspondence with Lisa at customer service, she was pleasant and sympathetic, and informed me she had passed on the messages to Kyle and wasn't sure why he hadn't reached out to me yet. Finally I got a hold of Kyle. Kyle was the type who probably described himself as an "alpha male" The type to give himself multiple pats on the back thinking he's doing a good job, but in reality just isn't productive. He was frustrated Lisa didn't just "handle" the disgruntled customer on her own. He offered me no solution to my quarrel, and told me if I did cancel the lease they would then charge me again to come pick up the leased keg. He proceeded to tell me how expensive gas prices are right now, and there's just no way they couldn't charge a fee. In our restaurant we train our crew to operate with integrity, we don't hard upsell and do our best to give the guests what they want. If a guest orders too much food we kindly inform them, this may be too much. We offer great wine suggestions based on customer price preference, we focus on hospitality standards and put our guests first, we don't focus on chasing profits. Airgas cares nothing for their customers and cares solely on profits. It's disingenuous. I hope this review will save some small business owners some money!
