A great experience from start to finish! Had to get a ton of work done on our old faithful Honda gas powered mower. Come to discover the dang thing wouldn't fit in the car so we called up and they have a delivery service (pick up and drop off). We had the most amazing service from Austin and Bruce. Super friendly, highly professional, prices were great and they were quick to get it turned over and delivered to us. That old mower came back sparkly clean and runs like it's brand new. They even filled up the gas tank for us. I really appreciated how they also explained everything that needed fixing in plain English that made sense so we fully understood exactly what needed to be done before they started working on it. So here's an experience for you. Brought a generator in to get looked at and diagnosed. I realized there was a $49 or $79 bench fee for this process. After given a $500+ estimate I decided to take the generator home and have some friend repair it. The estimate said I needed a rebuilt carb, fuel line and spark plug. Here's the kicker. The carb was totally clean and didn't need rebuilding. Then the generator was never put back together at all. When going through things there were multiple parts missing. When I called they told me that the bench test didn't include reassembly. Even if that is the case I should at least have all the parts to reassemble it. Right? Long story short. After a friend doing the repair, $40 in parts and one hour of time and the generator runs perfectly. Please don't waste your time or money with these rip off artists. read more

Dropped off equipment asking for a specific service. That servoce was not performed and equipment still not operating correctly when picked up. The did do other services that I did not ask for sharpen and blade and oil change in a walk behind mower and charged over $100.00. This place is a rip off. read more

I changed the blade on my lawn mower and left it on its side for about 10 min like an idiot and mower would not start. Took it to d&j where my family has been going for 15 years. Needed new carburetor sparkplug and some other basic maintain items 150$ no problem they fixed it. However started to mow grass and mower was perfect. 2 laps in it started to smoke a little 1 lap later a lot of smoke then it conked out. Called d&j brought mower back in and and tech asked me if I flipped it. No that's what happened the first time and no need to flip it you just fixed it. So they call me back and tell me I need a motor for 450$ I said no way. Then she calls the owner to see if they will credit 150$ to new mower and he said no. Then the tech said he told me the motor was bad. Bull shit he did. Why would I fix it if I new the motor was bad. When I asked so I'm out 150$ she said pretty much. Very unhappy with the service I trusted and have a lot of people who go there that will not return very un professional. I work in an industry with automobiles and if I misdiagnosed something I take care of it. It happens we are humans. I feel totally disrespected and will never return and hope others will not. They are a busy and respected shop and have been for a long time and I feel like they could care less about losing me as a customer read more

This place is an absolute rip-off! They just lost a customer for good. I dropped off a 8" wheel barrow wheel and requested the tire & tube be replaced because the tire was clearly blown out with a gaping hole in it. They called me the next day and told me what it would cost (too much money including a $4.00 "tire disposal fee") and I told them to forget it and I would stop by and pick it up. When I arrived, they wanted $7.50 for "diagnostic services" because they had to call someone to get a price for the tire. They refused to waive the charge and I told them I wasn't paying anything and they could just keep it. I went to Home Depot and purchased a brand new one for $25 which was far less than what they wanted to charge me for the repair. I will never, ever go back there again. read more
