They sent out the person who initially did my quote to tamp down the track marks, which was nice so I added $50 to the check for the fast response and attempt to fix it. This ended up being a severe mistake as I then discovered damage to my gate. Minor, but clearly nobody cared to take note of it, contact me about it or fix it. When I contacted again, I was told I must be confused on my part, as the careless team that runs heavy machinery through wet yards couldn't have been the same careless team that ran that heavy machinery up against a bolt, splitting the wood and bending it out of place. For this service, you're better off renting machinery from Lowe's and doing the damage yourself. I was told quote "this is an unusually slow time" as there's been a lot of competition from tree companies starting more work from the hurricane that came through. It's sounding like that competition has been the better option for people, and I didn't get that hint.

Robertson was much less expensive, and his crew accomplished about double the scope compared to two…read moreother quotes I received. I chose to pay a daily rate and the crew got much more accomplished than the competitors quoted. However next time I use them I will request a fixed scope quoted so that there is no ambiguity. Also on the quote sheet "SG" means stump grinding so make sure that is understood. We had some miscommunication but Randall kept his word and made it good with a second trip to my house. I have alot of respect for a businessman that puts integrity first. Make sure to speak and work with Harold or Randall and you will be treated fairly.

A very complicated, dangerous, tight situation with so many things that could have possibly gone wrong. Thankfully, a neighbor referred us to Carson and JR Tree Removal. We knew immediately upon meeting Carson that we chose the right company for the job. He was knowledgeable, pleasant and straight-forward. Carson and his crew came out and worked miracles taking down that tree, another large dying oak and then professionally trimmed a third large oak that was too close to the house. This was a ridiculously complicated job but this crew worked non-stop, carefully and perfectly. They took extreme care in protecting our yard and property. They barely stopped to grab a few bites at lunch and were back at it, leaving no mess behind. We've had tree work done before, but nothing this technical and large. JR Tree Removal team far exceeded our expectations. "Superhero" comes to mind when you're watching a team work together so seamlessly. In a world where it has become the norm to be disheartened by disappointment, this family operation is the real deal. I cannot say enough about how polite, conscientious, and hard-working these masters of this craft are. They are also competitively priced and properly insured (unlike so many others out there even if they say they are). If you need any kind of tree trimming or removal done, do not hesitate to call on these men. You and your property will be treated like it is their own family and property. Guaranteed. Thank you, gentlemen.

The end result was amazing. Both father John and son Christopher were professional, pleasant, personable and clean. I replied "what do you mean by 'rough' like the landscaping and sod is done poorly?" He said "no I mean the neighborhood is rough, we usually only service *higher end* neighborhoods like thornblade". So don't call this company if you live in an average (new build community of ~300k homes). Update: My quote was reasonable -- that wasn't the issue. The issue was the salesperson's classist comment about my neighborhood, which I clarified on the spot. As shown in my original review, he confirmed he meant the neighborhood itself, not the lawn. The company's response is a retroactive reframe that contradicts what was actually said. Update 2: Following my review, someone from the company returned to my property 4-5 hours later without notice or consent to photograph it. When I called to ask why, I was told it was because I had 'slandered their business all over the internet' and they wanted documentation of the lawn condition. This call was recorded. The lawn condition was never the issue. The review was about a classist comment made about my neighborhood. Their response reframes the word 'rough' to mean the lawn after I explicitly clarified on the spot that he meant the neighborhood, not the grass.
