Six months ago I went to go do a small check with my 2017 Honda Accord sport special edition it failed the smog because the catalytic converter was messed up. I stopped by the shop and I spoke to a Hispanic gentleman. I think he had long hair and then I got to talk to the owner. Totally forgot his name, but super cool older OG cat . I told him my situation and they gave me a price for a new catalytic converter which was gonna be well over $2000 but then he proceeded to tell me before we talk about money. Why don't you take yourself to the dealer and have your car checked to see if your catalytic converter still falls under federal warranty. So I did that and sure enough the dealer covered all my expenses and replaced my catalytic converter. It was a blessing to meet this man at this muffler place he had some knowledge and he shared it with me. His instinct wasn't to take advantage of the situation at all thanks to him. It was the best experience one of the best experiences of my life. I recommend this place 100% why because they are honest. read more

The mechanic at D&D was very friendly and polite and respectful he listened and seem to know what to do, which was to change my catalytic converter. The work was done quickly and correctly. I would give 10 stars if I could. I was quoted an outrageous price at a local Mechanic. Then I went to another mechanic who suggested I go to D&D Muffler. Let me start by saying, I don't usually type reviews about bad service, unless it is absolutely terrible. They do decent work (at best), but the way they treat customers is just disgusting. Asked a simple question after they failed to provide the service I requested, about why my exhaust wasn't centered as it should be. I have ocd when it comes to that type of thing. The older man gets upset and starts calling me crazy and saying "some people just aren't all there" (clearly referencing myself) to his younger asian worker. Ive been to this shop before, many years ago and don't remember them being this disrespectful. I referred a friend there to get some work done, and he also had a bad experience with this shop. After hearing that I was a little hesitant to go back, but figured I would give them a second chance. Unfortunately I was not only let down, but disrespected as well. People are nice till they got defensive about me telling them they shouldn't let my exhaust pipe hang from the manifold. I just went for a resonator delete and one of the dudes didn't know how to use a reciprocating saw and also had another guy hang on the other side so it wouldn't vibrate so much. The blade fell out of the machine and didn't make a clean cut either. And when I told him to not let the pipe hang from the middle because it's a lot of weight and it could damage the manifold along with my turbo he continued to tell me he had done this for over 20 years and they are the best in town, but that also doesn't mean he does it right, and I'll also be going to a different town if they are the best. read more

Awful experience, called for a price on a muffler delete ($160) went in the same day and dropped the car off. I was told it would be done that day, around 445 I received a call asking if I could pick the car up in the mornimg. I explained this was my only transportation and couldn't find a way back. He said he would find someone who wanted to stay late and it would be done at 6 and would be costing $300. I said what happened to $160? He then came back instantly with ok rock bottom price is $250...? Like how did it go up $140 and drop $50 in seconds. I picked my car up as soon as we hung up. Whatever you do, do not use this shop. We brought our vehicle to this shop for an exhaust system with specific written instructions on how we would like it done. Those instructions were completely ignored due to severe incompetence of owner and employees. When we came to pick up our vehicle and complained about work performed, the owner became defensive and belligerent but reluctantly agreed to re-do the system per our instructions. They did not perform the work in the time frame agreed upon. Upon picking up our vehicle the second time, they sabotaged the vehicle which was costly to have repaired which could not be proven. If you like crappy work, and disrespectful unprofessional attitudes, than this is your place! Plenty of other competent muffler shops in the AV. read more

They took care of my pickup in a timely manner and the truck runs like new. They also installed a K&N air filter. WORST customer service ever. Went to the shop and made an appt for the following day at 8:30am for some muffler work on our Jeep. Got there at 8:30am and the owner Chip, said it would be ready in about 3 hrs. We returned 4 hrs later to find they hadn't work on the jeep yet. My husband went to ask what happened and the owner said he was short 2 people and he didn't have time and handed my husband the keys and said to take our business elsewhere. My husband asked why he just didn't tell us he didn't have the time instead of wasting our time and his. He became very rude and acted like we had done something wrong. How does a person run a business with an attitude like that. Driving customers to take there business elsewhere. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This is probably my worst experience at a muffler shop iv ever had. First I call for to ask how much to put on a exhaust tip n remove the muffler. The owner told me 100$. Then when I sent my wife in the do it they charge 130$. Like how did it just go up 30$? So then the old owner told me wife if anything wrong with it to bring it back the next day. Which is today, I go in this morning because the exhaust tip isn't straight and it's pointing down. When I arrived he looked at me and won an attitude said what's wrong with it. I politely stated that the tip is pointed downward and I don't like it I would like it straight like we spoke about it, then kept telling me different things to change my mind on leaving it alone. Then he said okay pull it in. When I pull it in and shit the car off the owner said." So this is what we're gonna do, we're gonna chop the exhaust off and put your old one on and send you on your way!". Then stated that he doesn't want people like "me" as a customer and to take it somewhere else. Why? Because I asked to fix something, and refused to give my money back.
