They also took full boxes of stuff back with them when they left. I guess that is why It is leaking in the back room after they did the roof. They had insurance if I bought a certain shingle, the same price as the other shingles and it was mostly for wind damage. They did not register the shingle for that insurance, so basically they stole 300.00 dollars off of me. I put in a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, a month ago, but they did not put that there was a complaint on record after 30 days, if they didn't respond, you guessed it, they didn't respond. At around the same time,, I had my breast cancer surgery, and 2 days later I broke my wrist. I told them I was paying by check or cash because I would get a discount. They dropped their work crew of Mexicans (they asked me if I would be offended) I told them I didn't care what color or anything else, if they knew how to put a roof on, I was okayed with that. They didn't drop back about getting their payment that day, Early in the morning I got a call from sales, who said he was sending someone for the check, but said I could not because I couldn't write or sign it. He sent someone anyway and said he( would have someone help me write the check, I refused the person who came, I was still in my nightgown, and I was going to the bank later. They said the big boss was not going to be happy. So the big boss called me and said he heard I would not pay them. It pissed me off, I had to wait for months for them to come out to do the roof, after paying a large deposit, then showing me a list of 30 or more roofs that was before me, and he already had my check and it was a large cancellation fee. I said I was going to the bank, and it was the same bank he used. All I had to do is transfer the money. In total, it was over 11,000 dollars for a double-wide house, that was mostly flat. I paid probably 2000 dollars for the stuff they took back or more. I called them about the 300.00 dollars for the insurance, and they had a group of roofers go by my house, heckling me, I guess to intimidate me. You don't mess with a Philly girl, we just get mad! The fence is solid, it looks good, and when we discovered an issue with the gate, he had someone out to repair it the next day no extra charge. I think gutters and fences are his primary thing, but he subcontracts for electrical and plumbing and both of those guys were great too. There was a communications failure ( probably me). The crew arrived without a sufficiently tall ladder for one side of the house. They did a great job and promised to return another day with the appropriate ladder. They returned, just as promised and I don't think our gutters have ever been cleaner. Thanks, guys. I filed with the Attorney General first, he didn't respond to them. I filed with the local district magistrate and he failed to show up for court yesterday. Dale and his crew did extensive repair work on a house I own that was built…read more in 1870. The scope of this job included an ridge beam, rafters, decking, soffit, gutters. The original construction of this house was not up to the current acceptable standards , and therefore would not be up to code. Dale took photos, and did a live video walkthrough of the attic area so my husband and I could see the problems , and what was needed to repair this structure. My husband is a licensed general contractor. This job which was a large construction project was done professionally, and in a timely manner, as we were needing this completed before the northeast weather. They quoted me $9,500 for removing and replacing the broken tiles. Two of them worked for less than 6 hours, used a single roll of the cheapest peel and stick roofing material you can buy (supposedly put over a "snow shield" which is just a thin sheet of metal from what I can tell). When I asked for an itemized list of labor and materials they told me that they have to pay $77K a year for a special license to work on asbestos tiles and that they really needed the check ASAP for payroll. I looked it up after the fact and there is no license that cost that much! I deeply regret paying them.

I recieved quotes from other contractors who insisted they would have to rip everything out and replace everything with new stuff. Shane gave me an estimate that was much better and was able to use most everything from the old install. He saved me a lot of money and did an amazing job. The installation actually LOOKS BETTER and FUNCTIONS BETTER than it did when it was completely new. We will contract with him for every job going forward.
