I first went to showroom and then she came on site to look at the space and to take measurements, and a second time she came out with the contractor who will do the work to solidify plans. She created several renderings before deciding on a final layout which was sent to the contractor for final pricing. The cabinet and countertop selection is good and pricing is very competitive. She ordered in a natural stone sample of MIS backsplash not on hand and it came in a few days. She also suggested a product for wrapping structural support beams - Very excited about my kitchen project to begin this fall. So, more to follow...

Turns out sign was pointed in WRONG LOCATION across street and away from actual location. Not a good 1st impression. Called to find entrance and told sign must have been "turned around". No one paying attention to details? Inside woman I spoke to on phone was short, rude and didn't seem interested in setting up a "free estimate" or "free design". I was told have to take my own measurements, pick samples and give a"basic" idea of what I wanted first. After they would give me a " estimate" of probable Cost. If that was "acceptable" they'd setup up an in home estimate, design date. I got more enthusiastic service at Lowe's!

I recieved quotes from other contractors who insisted they would have to rip everything out and replace everything with new stuff. Shane gave me an estimate that was much better and was able to use most everything from the old install. He saved me a lot of money and did an amazing job. The installation actually LOOKS BETTER and FUNCTIONS BETTER than it did when it was completely new. We will contract with him for every job going forward.

He was very detailed in the execution of his work including the plaster application and painting, ensuring they were both performed to high standards. Drywall repair takes time to dry in between layers and we were able to work it around schedules to keep things flexible. Overall price was a great deal for the work done. RJ was very enjoyable to work with, he is friendly and committed to his craft and I would happily hire him again for other work around my 150 year old house.
