All of the travel visas and paperwork were included and the process of obtaining them was easy and stress free. It's hard to single out the highlights of this trip because every day was amazing and perfect. The agenda each day flowed effortlessly as we moved from place to place in Havana and Vinales. The food that we were offered each day was authentic and delicious. The most memorable part of the trip has to be the people we met. The first person to welcome us to Cuba was our tour guide, Alejandro Carrazana. He has the friendliest smile and the most cheerful personality you will ever encounter. His knowledge and willingness to share it was remarkable. We could not have enjoyed our trip as much as we did without his accurate and ever-present translation from Spanish to English. He went above and beyond his job description every single day. His dedication to making our trip perfect was admirable. He made sure we got to see every single thing we mentioned, whether it was listed on our itinerary or not. Alejandro was accompanied by our tour bus driver, Roberto Chamorro. Right away, it was evident that we were in expert hands with Roberto. He exuded calmness and peace and drove us everywhere each day with complete perfection. He was friendly, professional and a complete gentleman. It was such a pleasure to travel with this team from Friendly Planet Travel. Our casa, Encanto de Perserverancia was clean and comfortable. The staff welcomed us upon arrival and told us that we had arrived at our own home in Cuba. That theme was never lost during the whole trip. The casa did indeed become our home for the entire week. The kitchen staff were incredibly friendly and the breakfast we were served each morning was delicious and fresh. Two staff members that worked at the reception desk every day made our trip even more fantastic. Jose and Rai were available throughout the day and most of the night for any questions we had. They helped us daily with reservations and phone calls. The were cheerful and sweet the entire time. They were engaging and we had so many candid conversations with them. They became our Cuban family over the time we stayed with them. After seven days, that flew by in an instant, we were sad to leave Cuba. We will definitely return, and will book our trip through Friendly Planet again. I can recommend this trip to anyone that wants to see Havana and Vinales through the eyes of local people. Cuba is a beautiful country full of beautiful and friendly people. Like the song says.....half of my heart is in Havana.

I've been coming to the AAA South Jersey - Voorhees office for the past few years to purchase Gift Cards during the Holiday Season. They run a great promotion on Visa Gift Cards during this time (no fee at activation AND no fee for the recipient to use it). Danielle at this office has been the one to help me and she is such a pleasure to work with. She was terrific again today, as she was able to get everything done smooth and efficient. The team at this office in general is great--I'm always immediately greeted and have nerd felt like they were as busy as they truly are. Thanks for always being there for us!

Last night her husband drove the car to shop for Thanksgiving in the pouring rain (a real downpour). The car was smoking at the store. He called for a tow and was told that because his wife wasn't in the car AAA wouldn't cover the tow. My daughter-in-law had been released 2 weeks ago from a week in the hospital for pneumonia and asthma and could not be in the bad weather. But AAA wouldn't cover the tow because she wasn't in the car. I told "Tom" the Supervisor about the circumstances and he wouldn't budget. I told him I had previously been a AAA member myself and thought the membership covered the car and was told it only covered the person on the card so the card was towed after paying $208. I WILL NOT RENEW THIS PATHETIC "MEMBERSHIP". The rules are ridiculous, the personnel are rude and unsympathetic and frankly, after years of paying for memberships that were never used because there was no need for I remember a tow or roadside service, AAA SOUTH JERSEY is not a service company I would recommend. Period!

We also felt safe the entire time; you would never have known they had just gone through a revolution. The sites were just amazing. There was such a variety of activities that kept us going the entire trip; riding camels and donkeys, going inside the pyramids, sailing down the Nile and then swimming in it! I was surprised how cold the water was. The temples and hieroglyphs were astounding, knowing they had been created, some up to 6,000 years ago, and then finding some paint still on them! We also learned so much of the country's past with an Egyptologist as our guide. I had such a great time that I'm trying to organize another trip with my students now. Jesse was always available to answer any questions we had at just about anytime of day. The trips are very low priced and even with only the activities already planned it would be a very full trip. The optional activities did add up however, but I wouldn't have missed them. The hot air balloon ride over Luxor was so exciting!

I'd driven past it countless times over the last few years but either didn't have enough time to stop or couldn't convince anyone else to stop with me. During my Lancaster Adventure Day, though, all of that changed. I purchased a Single Scoop ticket online ahead of time for $16.75 and reserved the very first time slot of the day at 10am. I figured a late-summer Thursday morning would be the sweet spot, and it turned out to be a great decision. It was busy enough that the place felt lively but not so crowded that I had to wait for every exhibit. Parking was plentiful, and I somehow managed to snag a spot right in front of the GIANT cow out front. Honestly, my day was already off to a fantastic start! The only hiccup of the visit came during check-in. Even though I'd already purchased my ticket online, I still had to wait in the same line as everyone buying gift shop items, purchasing admission and asking questions. Since there were only a two employees working both the registers and admissions, the line moved a little slower than I expected. If I could change one thing, it would be creating a separate express check-in line for folks who already have tickets. Once I finally made it inside, though, everything became easy peasy! The exhibits are completely self-guided, so you can wander at your own pace learning how Turkey Hill makes its ice cream and iced tea while playing with interactive displays along the way. One of my favorite parts was creating my own virtual ice cream flavor, complete with custom packaging. I also wanted to film my own Turkey Hill commercial, but those stations stayed busy the entire time I was there, so that'll have to wait until another visit. Naturally, I made a beeline for the tea sampling station. As someone who appreciates sugar-free options, I was thrilled to find both Zero Sugar Sweet Tea and Zero Sugar Fruit Punch available to sample. Both were fantastic! Then it was time for the part we'd all been waiting for...unlimited ice cream samples. One thing I really appreciated is that they weren't tiny little "blink and it's gone" samples. You picked two flavors, and they served actual scoops in a bowl. For an attraction centered around ice cream, that felt exactly right. My only tiny complaint? Wooden popsicle sticks instead of spoons. They definitely got the job done, but they made eating melting ice cream a little more awkward than it needed to be. Still...free and unlimited ice cream? I'm not about to complain too loudly! I spent about an hour wandering through the exhibits, playing with the interactive displays and enjoying the air conditioning on a hot August morning before making one final stop in the gift shop. Prices there were about what you'd expect for a tourist attraction, but there were plenty of fun souvenirs if you're looking to bring a little Turkey Hill home with you. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend visiting the Turkey Hill Experience at least once. I don't know that it's somewhere I'd return over and over again, but it was a fun, interactive way to spend an hour learning something new, eating entirely acceptable quantities of free ice cream and escaping the August heat. That sounds like a pretty successful adventure day to me!

Albeit the original captain was an old salt who did not hesitate to tell the other boaters how they messed up. Capt Dave these days carries the same passion with much more reservation and patience. (Decide for yourself if that's better or worse) Captain Dave and crew of the Duke O' Fluke remain my undoubtable choice for a fishing charter to this day. Their charisma, work ethic, and nautical knowledge will undoubtedly ensure your best chances of landing a keeper, even in a full boat. We booked an afternoon reservation today with my hopefully soon to be brother in law and their kids and everyone had a blast. I was proud to introduce my soon to be new family members to one of my favorite childhood experiences and share that with them. The Duke O' Fluke provides true lifelong memories for every fisherman at any level of experience and they are more than happy to welcome and accommodate everyone onboard. Shout out to Andrew, our deckhand today,He had his hands filled literally and metaphorically with keepers, shorts, tangled lines, snagged lines..(sorry for the three hooks we lost). Andrew was very well experienced and kept his head in the most tense and exciting moments of fishing guaranteeing a catch when it wouldn't have been possible without him. I'm sure no one else noticed but if you take a single look at a fisherman's hands they will tell you whether or not they are worth their salt. Andrew's hands are full of fresh and old scars from a career of fishing quickly and efficiently. Marked, calloused, recovering, scarred, and fresh. Also everything in between. Please remember to tip your deckhand when you visit. They deserve every dollar you give them for their incredible service.

He kept giggling while jiggling my son's rod. But before we get there, it's reasonably priced, the crew is knowledgeable, and the bait is plentiful. I still swear Michael was calling it Cuckbait and not Cutbait but we will get back to him. Whether you are new to fishing or an old salt this boat has what you need. On my fishing expedition we were landing flounder left and right. All who participated in the biggest fish pool were going back and forth. Michael, who I promised to get back to, was grinning from ear to ear cause we all know the pool is a ploy to drum up some money for the leadhead deckhand. Captain called "last drift" and I joke you not, a lord of the fins landed the biggest flounder I have ever seen. Michael fist pumped along with the gentlemen till he realized he wasn't in the pool and Mike got serious. He pretended like he hadn't been jiggling my son's rod all day. Long story short he wasn't happy when the dude who landed the doormat only gave him an Andrew Jackson. To clarify, nothing fresh happened, he likes to mess with the little kids. Meaning likes to pretend like they have the big one by playing with their pole from behind. This isn't coming out right. Just watch yourself around that Trout Slapper Michael.
