We…read morewere originally planning to go to Italy last year but after postponing our wedding due to the pandemic and Italy shutting down, Carol and her team were so professional and helpful with rescheduling. Fast forward to planning our new honeymoon this spring and we decided on Tahiti with stays in Moorea and Bora Bora. Carol was able to keep our new trip within our original budget which was a huge plus. We opted to spend the little bit of extra money on trip insurance with everything going on and it paid off big time. When we arrived in Tahiti we ran into some issues with this wonderful pandemic going around. Thank god we had not only the trip insurance but Carol and her team as well. They stayed in constant contact with us despite us being 6 hours behind. She was able to transfer our reservation from our Bora Bora stay to extend our stay in Moorea due to some travel restrictions. She constantly reassured us everything was going to be fine through the most stressful week of our lives which was probably the best aspect of having her as our travel agent. Carol and her team at Farnesi Travel worked non stop and were in constant contact with us, the hotel, the airline and other contacts to make sure we had what we needed for not only our stay but to get home as well. We seriously cannot thank Carol enough. She was a god send. If you've ever thought about buying trip insurance I can tell you first hand it is worth every penny. We will be buying it for every future trip we plan. If you've ever thought about using a travel agency, Farnesi Travel is who you need to use hands down. They have made us customers for life.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would…read more I reserved 2 Jitneys for a rehearsal party event back in June. The jitneys were to run continuously from Icona in Diamond Beach to Reeds in Stone Harbor from 5pm to 10:30pm. (1) The jitneys arrived on time and early, and both were running while waiting for the first bus to fill. As it left, myself and guests on the jitney noticed it was not cool and asked the AC to be turned up. The driver, who barely spoke English, mentioned it was as high as can be, and because of the heat we needed to wait for it to cool down. Needless to say, it did not. As I and my guests got off the jitney, we were drenched in sweat because the AC never worked. I called the office and they assured me nothing was wrong and things would be fine. It never got better and the jitney never cooled down. (2) The continuous run between locations did not happen. One group of guests sat on the jitney at Icona for an hour waiting for the driver to leave, arriving to the event an hour and a half late because the driver wound not leave. (3) The AC Jitney Association culminated with the jitney that had the AC problem breaking down on the ride back to Icona at the end of the night. My guests were stranded on the side of the road for an hour waiting for the 2nd jitney to come get them. Police had to move the jitney to the side so it would not block traffic on a Friday evening. I contacted AC Jitney Association that night, the next day, and through email the week after the event and the problems, and NO ONE ever contacted me back. I paid $1000 for 2 jitneys, and only 1 was serviceable. No response from the company at all. I should have had the credit card company block payment, but I acted too late. Needless to say this experience will should be known to others who think they are contracting with a reputable company ... they are NOT, at least in my experience.

Well, I started to notice lots of "friends" in a travel group had begun traveling there again in the last 9 months and I moved Egypt back to the top of my list. I wasn't quite ready to do it all alone, so I started looking into tour options. I knew my fiancé wasn't ready for a group tour, so I looked into private options and found Osiris after reading several reviews. After one email to Mahmoud I knew I had made the right decision and we were able to completely customize a private tour around my schedule, budget, and interests. From almost the second we stepped off the plane (not exaggerating, a rep was there waiting BEFORE immigration) we were guided the entire way. With some unforeseeable changes to our itinerary (flight delays) Osiris was able to rearrange things as needed and the whole process was seamless. We managed to pack Cairo and Luxor in a one week trip and see everything both cities have to offer, with a good amount of free time too. Tours were arranged at the best hours to avoid the heat and the tourists and we can't say enough good things about our Egyptologists (Amy and Mahmoud Ali) as well! Extremely impressed with the service we received, the options in tours, the drivers (driving in Cairo is some scary stuff lol) etc etc!! Definitely reach out to Mahmoud at Osiris to help you plan your trip!!
