My family and I really enjoyed the Orange Muscat!
Bradley H.

The D'Agostini family is great! We are sitting here enjoying Orange Muscat and visiting with them, and it's like visiting with family! I will always stop here when I'm in the area and you should too!

Entering our favorite winery, D'Agostini.

I've met the brother, Daisy, Walter the pooch, and dad who took us a tour of the vineyard on his tractor and let us do some barrel tasting.

This winery is great, with the potential to be outstanding. The facility, formerly known as Bray…read morewinery, underwent a transformation by the new ownership to create Krissie Vineyards. In my opinion, they are doing so many things to enhance the wine tasting experience, it could blow away the competition. Examples are as follows: 1. Rebuilding, refinishing and updating the tasting room and facility. 2. Hiring the former Sous Chef from Taste restaurant to create food offerings/pairings and provide a small bite sample with wine tasting. 3. Display unique and unusual art in and around the property. (They have seven full size panels from the Berlin Wall adjacent to the tasting room.) 4. Staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. 5. The wine pricing is reasonable when compared to the quality. 6. Both the food and wine are excellent. That said, I think the one possible stumbling point could be their attempt to blend in their east coast sister wines and styles with this region. It might be an interesting idea, but I am uncertain people locally will appreciate or understand the effort. The Amador wine region is not Napa Valley, and I don't think it possesses the international appeal, notoriety or demographics that will support the concept of bi-coastal wines. In any event, we will return to further experience the ongoing evolution of this remarkable winery.
