We wondered across the street and stumbled upon Franco Bruno, a small pizza shop with two tables outside. This was one of the best meals I have ever had and the best pizza I have ever had. We looked up, she was visibly annoyed and giving off Karen vibes and judging by her flowered dress we could tell she worked there but didn't know if she was the chef or manager. We looked at our watch, it was 730pm. We said yes, we were aware and it wasn't going to be a problem. She then made it a point to come past us from 3 different directions giving us stink eye and making faces and noises as she went past. The waitress had not been seen or asked if we wanted the bill. We hadn't paid. So it is kind of hard to leave when you haven't paid. After about 20 minutes we flagged her down, asked for the bill, paid and left. Again, no smile, no thank you, no come again. I have to add that there were empty tables and no line out the door...so no need for us to be rushed out of there. I think they should change their description on their website, or do training but it really ruins a dining experience when you knowingly pay extra for ordinary food and get treated like a dirty peasant by the staff. They have a deal where you pick three dishes and that they serve small bites. We each ordered three dishes and I ordered their Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary was great! The food was hit or miss, some were great and delicious, some was a bit simple. The service was a bit slow but super friendly, and the atmosphere stared to liven up during the morning brunch crowds. Our favorite were the fried potatoes and fried mushrooms . Might be a good option if you're around for brunch!
