The board made a terrible choice in the new headmaster and sat silent while he and his wife ran the school into the ground. The headmaster's reign only ended after multiple activist parents forced the issue. Student enrollment is down ~50% from a few years ago. Most enrollment decline happened due to the situation this year. The school is failing on multiple fronts. They literally did not have any established curriculum for most of the middle school classes. Multiple long-time teachers left the school in 2025 due to the degradation of the school leadership. The school is financially insolvent. The only reason the doors are still open is because the Chairman of the Board has appointed himself as the interim Headmaster (contracted through his child's graduation next year) after overseeing the decline of the school, and is writing checks to keep the doors open. Stay clear of this school!

There were no problems with me or us to justify this action. They say they are a Christian school but they did not teach my child Christian values nor do they employ them in their decision making. Hey Spring Lions!!!! This is one of the reasons I purchased my home in this area!! Not just Spring…read moreHS, but Spring ISD itself!!!! Spring HS is your average HS, nothin fancy.......not all "brand new" or anything. This school has some awesome Teachers, Staff, & of course.....The Athletics Dept!!!! Now, there has been a major change in the Ladies Volleyball Coaches over the past school year (2011/2012-2012/2013) but I'm thinkin they're gonna get it right soon!!!! Please, please, get it right soon.... If, & I probably will at some time during this next school year, I was going to do a review solely on the Coaches....I'm not sure what the rating would be. Chances are with last years experience.....Not 5 stars!!! BUT, I am giving this school year coming up another chance seeing as how I will get to talk about more than just volleyball Coaches, & maybe, just maybe, they will redeem themselves after last school years fiasco. So for now.....I'll stick to the school itself!!! Very beautiful, yet again, nothin spectacular......Easy to find your way around. They have a beautiful auditorium, huge Gym (Gym #1) & then a smaller Gym (Gym #2) around the corner. Tight security.....Cool, but you kind of have to get used to being sent to more than one place just to check your kid out!!!! Whatever.....I'm over it & used to it now. So it's all gravy!!! The kids have super easy access to Burger King, Sonic, Starbucks, & so much more, by just walking across Cypresswood. & trust me.....they do take advantage of it!!! This school has "Go Zones"!!! What's a Go Zone you ask?!?!? Good question!!!! When your child is in a Go Zone, they are welcome to bust out that one thing that we as kids did not have!!! That one thing that most kids these days have had since elementary!!! The one thing you will find glued to every teenager's hands!!! That's right!!! Their Cell Phones!!!!! Best believe that when in a Go Zone you'll hear everyone Jammin Pandora, their iPod, or local radio station!!!! Oh, & the days of "passing notes" is long gone!!! Go Zones let ya text, bump up your Facebook status, as well as post what Your daughter/son & their friends are REALLY doing in a funky cool lookin way on Instagram!!! Ummm....can you tell that my kid is one of the many?!?!? Hey, long as she's bustin butt & rockin the Honor Roll, I have NO problemo with the Go Zone!!!! I'm sure if one of the students was to write a review, they might take at least 1 Star away due to the NO Hoodie rule!!! BUT, Spring HS has their reason for that rule, & I stand by their side on that issue!!! So I'm giving Spring HS 5 Stars because I dig em, & I have school spirit baby!!!!!

Nice fancy new-looking school, lots of good teachers, smart kids, there are issues of course as there are at every school, but when we've been on campus or dealt with them in any regard, they've treated us well. Schools are tough because people are often hands-on and helicopterish about their children (we are not like that about our niece and neither are the parents), but others, yes, I've seen it first hand. So well done to Hancock despite the name.

Failure as people who work in education system, a 10 years old child have been running them like her slaves , teachers are crying that AP or the Principle itself don't do anything, for the last 2 years they had me leave message and never called back, today I managed to talk to front desk 4 times within 30 minutes and they failed to even get anywhere with me, They told my wife if she don't leave the call CFISD police, so I begged them to do so when I'm going there, but now that I think about it, these people in this location don't even worth of a time of any parents or students for that matter, failure to be not only professionals but simple workers in their line of duty I'm disappointed to see workers like that failing miserably our Children and the Education system... I hope no other parents or child goes through what we dealt with, and if you are, don't feel bad as you're not alone, this is their system of work at this location. That's all folks

She loves school more than anything, to have your child beg to go to school, happy every morning is priceless. She grew to be a confident and kind girl and I am positive the school had an immense impact on this. I always felt heard, communication with leadership as well as teachers have been amazing. The performances always blow my mind and last years robotic show for first grade surpassed my expectations. Truly recommend.

Then, were so impressed with their handling of the pandemic in 2020 (we experienced no "covid learning loss"), it was an easy decision to stay on for the primary grades. And we have not been disappointed! We continue to have truly great teachers, that you can actually interact with every day at drop off and pickup and build relationships with them. I highly encourage anyone who is interested to schedule a tour or go to one of the open houses. Not only is it a charming environment, you will be amazed at how much more they manage to cover than just the basics. There is a focus on fine arts and performances, which are so great for confidence building. But they also get into robotics, go on cool field trips, and seem to have more fun events and activities than you might get in public school. The summer camp sessions are great, too! We'll be very sad to move on after 4th grade!

I would be dishonest if I pretended not to feel relieved that my child has been removed from this school; however, the behavior of Mrs. Yates, the daycare owner, was incredibly disrespectful. Her communication skills are severely lacking, and she believes that hanging up on someone is an acceptable solution when she struggles to express herself effectively. I strongly believe that the attitude of management sets the tone for the rest of the staff, and it is evident that nobody here seems genuinely happy. Now that I have experienced this firsthand, I understand why this school is ill-equipped to handle three-year-olds at their developmental stage. The management's behavior mirrors that of the workers, and it is clear that changes need to be made. I sincerely hope that management takes this experience as an opportunity to learn, but unfortunately, their unwillingness to engage in communication suggests that they may never change. It is disheartening to witness such behavior from someone in a position of authority who should know better.

Theres another time where a girl had pushed me in the playground and I scraped my whole knee and it was bloody and the teachers didn't send me to the nurse or anything when my dad picked me up. He was mad because they didn't even clean it at all. They just left me with a bloody knee , but this was 15 years ago. I don't know if they're still the same, but that's just my traumatic experience after school there's more to say, but I don't see more.
