Cypress Park Apartments is the most peaceful apartment complex I've ever lived in. I feel relieved I found this place. When you take a tour with Valerie, the stellar manager, you can already tell how well-kept it is. Living here, I've found that it is quiet, I can always do laundry when I need, and neighbors are nice and cordial. Where I used to live, it never felt private because the walls were so thin and it was just not laid out well, but at Cypress Park, it seems like they put a lot of thought into the layout. I don't know if all apartments here are like this, but it seems like only my kitchen and bathroom area share the wall with my neighbor. The little details add up. Brandon, the maintenance man, knows how to fix things right, and he's really nice--professional and chill at the same time. The parking area is spacious, so you don't have to do a three-point turn every time you park. The actual parking spots are wide, so you don't have to worry about squeezing yourself out of your car if one of your neighbors didn't park perfectly in the center of their spot. I have also found that inside the apartment, there are a lot of nice little details that make it just a little more pleasant than other places that are listed at a similar or even higher price, and all those little things add up to one happy experience. I also love that from the time I first met our manager, Valerie, I could just tell that she really cares about making Cypress Park a nice place to live. I toured many apartment complexes over the span of about 6 months, and she is the one who made me feel like someone is in charge and doing their best to make things run smoothly. Came here with my boyfriend to check out the open apartments and was blown away by the customer service and how nice everything looked. We met Valerie who took us around the property and made us feel like we belonged. The pricing surprised me because the price isn't way above market like other places. The prices were fair. We also ran into the maintenance guy who I think is named Brandon. Both Valerie and Brandon were so kind and made us feel right at home. Definitely considering moving here! Moved into CPA a few months ago. Been really happy so far. Place is very well kept with 2 swimming pools, game room and great outdoor entertainment area. I have definitely utilize the additional spaces for family events. I'm in a 1bdrm that is super spacious, my neighbors are quiet and the management is very responsive. The only 2 things that I would say could improve is more onsite visitor parking there is parking along the street for guests and the need for master bedroom air conditioner. It's in the living room so it takes a bit to flow air into my room. Other than that, it's a been an amazing this far. read more

We are Altadena exiles, having lost our house to the recent Eaton Canyon Fire. I am so glad that we found this wonderful complex in Cypress. The on-site amenities are wonderful. The pool area has two pools, a covered cabana area, lots of chairs to lounge and sun upon, and two very nice barbecue grills just outside of the pool area. There's a clubhouse where you can play billiards and air hockey - it's a great place to hang out with your visitors. There are four washing machine areas on-site, with each area having two washers and two driers apiece. If you're of the working-out variety of human, you can take advantage of the workout room. It has a nice variety of torture devices that I'm unfamiliar with, but my son and my wife both think they're good for you. The courtyard is very peaceful with lots of trees and grass. The whole complex is always very clean. I actually get surprised when I see the slightest bit of trash on the premises. Josephina is the name of one of the ladies who keeps everything nice and clean. Brandon is the resident Joe Fixit - he handles most of what needs repairing in the complex. But props have to be given to Valerie Brooks, Cypress Park Apartments' manager. She runs a lovely place and her commitment to tenant satisfaction shows in every interaction she has with us. To be perfectly frank, I think Valerie was one of the biggest reasons we decided to move here. It's been great! And if you're taking a tour and have some rando Filipino guy with glasses yell out, "Just move in here! It's great!" to you, please don't be too scared. PLEASEEE stay away from this place. Every month your rent is a different amount they have over charged me $100 on my rent the last 2 months. Pretending not to know who forgot to input the correct amount. Talking to you like you're garbage (Melissa Sanchez , Valerie's manager). I asked for my money back that was taken the last 2 months and was told that it will be credited to my rent . Who are they to take my money like that? I pay my rent every month on time . Melissa Sanchez , told me today so does everyone else. oh how I wish that were true then she told me I could break my lease if I were out by 09/18/ 25 all this because I asked for my money that they took and told her she should be fired. When these people are in the wrong they do not care but let you not pay your rent on time there's fee's, letter's left on your door , calls, emails etc. You have to stand up for yourself against these people . This has definitely been the best apartment that I have visited during my current search! The property manager, Valerie, was incredibly friendly, accommodating and answered all of my questions. Her responsiveness alone provided immediate comfort and made me feel welcomed during my visit. The community grounds are incredibly well kept--compliments to the grounds crew--which allows this location's curb appeal to translate even better in person than it does in pictures. The local park, across the street, is equally nice in appearance and seems very family friendly. I came across these apartments by chance, having it recommended to me by a sister property that had no current vacancies. My only regret is that Cypress Park isn't similarly priced. The longer commute, that would result from a possible move, slightly priced me out of this location at its current listing. Otherwise, I would have attempted to move in immediately. Valerie, Cypress Park Apartments and this neighborhood are all rare gems. So much so that it prompted me to write my first ever Yelp review! This place is awesome it's a place you can call home , we moved here a year ago and we're so glad that we made this decision. The apartments are clean and free of pests . The pool area looks like a resort very clean and will decorated , gym is clean and nicely equipped, the environment is very peaceful , friendly and quiet at night. The Location is perfect for people has kids going to schools ( Cypress College, Cypress High school, Lexington junior high school, Juliet Morris elementary school) all are very good rated schools and so close to the complex. The property manager and staff here specifically Valerie Brooks and Jose are wonderful sweet and very responsive they're always going above and beyond to make it comfortable for the residents living here by taking the time to be attentive to the needs of the complex and its residents . I lived here for about 1.5 yrs. As funny as it sounds I'm almost sad to leave. It was great community. Pretty quiet. What really stood out for my wife and I definitely has to be the management here. Miss Valerie and Jose are absolutely incredible. Valerie went above and beyond to make sure the community was taken care of. She so nice and welcoming. She really cares for her tenants. And Jose is the man. Every work order request was taken care of immediately. Work was always good. And he's also so nice. Just moved in two months ago from Fullerton and this is worst apartment ever lived before. The manager is very unprofessional and always give excuses when there is maintenance problem occurs. Outside of apartment is very quiet and peaceful however, inside of unit is very unlivable space; plumbing issues (when taking a shower, it starts with warm water then suddenly water changes to cold water then hot water - my daughter and I almost burned ourselves... complaints for two months already but never fixed.) blinds just got fixed after two months, ceiling problem... We can even hear next door neighborhood when they turn on the water, it feels like we are sharing our bathroom with someone else. Also, we can even hear it from our bedroom. Very very noisy!!! Charging Utilities such as water, gas, trash, pest control, so and so for. Even charging Maintenance fee. Not worth it to pay rent plus these charges. Also, they are charging these to new tenants which is not fair. We just got a bill of $80.03 for month of February. They charged for 30 days billing cycle when we only lived first two weeks in the apartment because there was a death in our family. The manager said it's very accurate and right but I don't think so. If they are only charging to new tenants, how can it be accurate? Also, next unit is under construction due to fire however manager didn't even mention it when we first came to tour around the apartment. She said that it's under construction due to remodeling. Because of this construction, often there is no electricity nor water for a day. We already waste a lot of food in the refrigerator. When maintenance comes to fix the problem during no one at the unit, after they fixed it then they left the lights on and leave. If you are trying to move into this apartment, please think again. I can't wait to move out after my lease ends. read more

Apartment shopping is very difficult, especially when you are dealing with a lot of moving parts. After meeting with katie, and seeing the community, i realized i like what i saw. Not only that, but Katie was very professional and understanding of my situation. She is knowlegable in her position and worked very hard to show me around in 99 degress weather... Props to her! I have looked at 10 different communities and none of the managers made me feel so at home. The fitness center is a huge selling point, and the play room looks great! Our family has lived on this property for YEARS. The city of Cypress is known for having great schools, and our whole family has walked from this apartment to the elementary school and both high schools down the street. Plus, it's always great to have a park right outside. I love the peace, no hassle, safety, and quiet of living here. The manager Kati had been super helpful and available. As a manager, she's friendly and her doors are always open to talk. And the renovations have been great. The pool, rec room, and the workout room have been great additions. We drove past these apartments/townhomes and called to see if there were any vacant spots. We got a call a day or two later about an open townhome that was going to be available from the property manager, Valerie. We could not pass up this opportunity! Not only are these apartments and townhomes on a culdesac across from a big park, and rent is extremely fair, but Valerie is extremely responsive and makes you feel at home. Being that this was mine and my husbands first place together, we were very new to how renting a home worked. Valerie had so much patience with the many questions we asked and took her time to explain everything in extreme detail and walked us through every step of the way. From the moment we moved in, Jose from maintenance greeted us with friendly conversation and was there with any adjustments we needed. He was so patient with the many questions we had also. He was so friendly and responsive! I broke something within a week of moving in and Jose came immediately and assessed the issue and ordered the replacement part immediately and kept me in the loop when the part arrived and when he would come fix the issue! I could not be more happy with the decision we made by moving into the Cypress Park townhomes. Not only does our place feel like home, but the team makes it feel like home as well. My previous review has been modified due to the change in management (again). The new manager seems to have little to no experience in management. Apparently she was given this job due to her friendship with someone in corporate. This would be fine and well if she were at all competent. Not only has the maintenance person Jose been replaced, but so has the manager Brett, and the regional manager Lisa. That just goes to show how unprofessional REMM group is. Nothing has been done here. Renovations that should take 2-4 weeks have turned into more than 3 months and counting. This place has become a circus, with no one really concerned about doing their job. I am counting the days until my lease is up. read more

So we've been through a lot of ups and downs at this apartment complex. My wife moved into this complex 2 years before we got married and so she wanted something small and affordable for herself. They said they had a studio at a reasonable price but that it would not be ready to move into for a few months BUT they would put her in a 1 bedroom apartment (first unit in this complex) while they ready the studio unit @ the studio price. She ended up living in this unit for 6 months. We moved her into the studio (second unit in this complex) and it was so small. She couldn't receive postal mail at this unit because the complex owner did not register the unit with the city. They paid for her to have a PO Box at the post office around the corner. Then winter came around and the rains came down and the studio flooded. Some personal affects and furniture were ruined. The apartment managers put my wife up in a hotel for a week and refunded her the amount off the following month's rent, which was nice of them. They dug up the concrete slab and fixed what was wrong, installed new carpet. Two months later it flooded again (over Christmas vacation) and I noticed it was under water Christmas day. They came back, drilled through the slab again and made repairs but put fans on the carpet for several days to dry it out instead. It smelled of mold after this. The following month we asked if she could be moved to a 1 bedroom unit instead, which they agreed to. So, we moved again (3rd unit in this complex). We later found out that they had not gotten the changes to the apartment which they split in two in order to create the studio approved with the city, the city forced them to return everything back to it's original state. Everything was much better in the 3rd unit. Only issues we had were the loud, obnoxious, smoking neighbors downstairs from us. We had to smell their smoke everyday, annoying! They moved last October (2010) and it's been great since then. The managers really are a sweet elderly couple who do care and have gone great lengths for us to get things fixed when needed (they replaced our air conditioner on request even though they promised it to someone else, because they love my wife!) There is plenty of parking here, each unit gets 1 covered and 1 uncovered space, although the space numbering is confusing and has been a mess for some time. I have not heard of any complaints about car theft or break-ins, the complex is in a very safe neighborhood and I feel safe here at any hour. The complex itself is VERY quiet. No loud music, no parties, nothing after 10pm and usually never at all. I never hear any noise coming from the shared walls with my neighbors, either the walls are well insulated or they are silent as mice. All in all we really have no complaints now in the 3rd unit. The units are old and need to be refurbished as kitchen cabinetry is falling apart but it's bearable. There are two pools, one is being refurbished at this point in time, the other needs to be as well but has not as of yet. They tend to be on the dirty side so I avoid them. There are 4 laundry rooms in this 100 unit complex consisting of 2 washers and 2 dryers in each laundry room. I never have issues getting laundry done here whenever I want to. People are lazy and do leave furniture and electronic waste by some of the dumpsters, especially those living on the north side, but not all of the dumpsters have this issue. We also had mirrors installed on both rear corners of the driveway since my wife was hit while backing out by another moron speeding through the complex at 20-25mph (in a 5mph zone) and cutting the blind corner where my wife was backing out. I think she got kicked out, she had been warned previously by the managers for speeding in the complex. All in all, we've had many issues here but we've worked through them and now things are much better for us. Because of all of the drama we personally experienced I can only give it 3 stars but had we not had any of the flooding and multiple moves I would give it 4 stars. This is just an honest review from our experiences here. Your mileage may vary. read more

We've been living here for four years now and the upgrades been done are great. We were in a one bedroom and now moving to a 2 bedroom. Everything is being upgraded. The new management is great. Very helpful. Er really like the area. The apartments now being upgraded are much better. New management is doing a great job. I would definitely recommend these apartments. read more
