Our priority was keeping the focus on our ceremony and marriage itself, without the stress that often comes with wedding planning. Miss Dianne, the owner, is so sweet and easy to work with. She made everything incredibly seamless from start to finish. The food was absolutely fabulous, my husband and I really enjoyed it! What I loved most was that the venue comes with everything you need. Being able to select everything from our linens, our menu, to centerpieces all in one place made the whole experience so much less stressful. The venue is absolutely beautiful. My favorite part is the courtyard and the drapery from the ceiling. We had the best night! If you're looking to have your wedding here, I highly recommend it! You won't be disappointed.

I could be wrong but I get the feeling that it is new- simply because it doesn't have that aged look about it. Ir looks bright and new. It is a lovely venue; Light, open, airy with a lot of natural sunlight pouring in through the many windows. We had a fairly small group, maybe 120 or so attendees at a buffet with enough seating for all of us (it probably could've held 200 easily at a seated dinner). We had a nice size dance floor with the cake off in its own nook in the corner and the buffet running along another side wall. The bar ran across the back where there was also an area where you could go outside if you wish. I know that people book different packages for their weddings so I won't judge the place on that. Our event was complementary well brands but a cash bar for premium liquors and wines and beers. I will say that for a cash bar the pricing was very reasonable. I had just wish they had champagne and I don't know if that was available there or not. The food was delicious and flavorful and a bit spicy. I do caution that when you're an event venue you should have some dishes that are not spicy because weddings have family members of multiple generations and not everyone enjoys spice. Overall it was a lovely venue with enough parking. It is a little bit out-of-the-way and I do suggest they get some signage from the main road but other than that I rated it a solid four stars.

We were met a few mins after we arrived by Miss Donna she was very friendly and we quickly felt right at home. She showed us around the common areas explained door codes made us feel like we were family. We met Casey and he brought to our attention all the new art work that was acquired for the common rooms, as well as some more history of the house and the fact that soon there will be a small scale model of the house before it was remodeled hand crafted from memory i spired by a 96 year old man that grew up in the house but lives close by. We chose the Fais Do Do suit little private walk way off the courtyard but we look forward to staying in the main house next time. The house was built in 1890 and I have to say I was never hot anywhere in the house or our suit. Louisiana is hot and humid lol The courtyard is beautiful a very nice gentleman was outside hanging lights above the courtyard I can't imagine them not being there they look amazing. Be sure and check for books in the Parlor for info about the B&B history. Our suit had a mini fridge, Keurig, very nice king size towels lots of pillows and lots of plugs, Free WiFi, comfortable bed very spacious rooms, cable tv, beverages and ice are in the guest fridge in the main house. We had breakfast in the sun room at 8:30 delicious eggs, bacon, and biscuits with OJ and Coffee but breakfast changes daily. We will definitely be returning and look forward to staying in each of the rooms. The staff make this place extra special!! And the science museum is right down the road couple miles.
