He did additional testing and got me on new medication to help avoid future problems. He was very friendly & professional. Any questions we had had took time to explain in a way we could understand. Julie Turner - Zero Stars. One visit. Waited for nearly an…read morehour. She rushed through. Total 10 minutes in the room. Did not listen, did not ask questions. Assumed without communicating with her patient. Another doctor that expects their patient to be honest with them, while they are not. I will be finding a new GI, one that actually has concern for her patients rather than just another one on the books. Making ASSumptions about a patients life is how you lose patients. Absolutely disgusted by her behavior. Not professional. Her clinical notes are not only ignorant, they are blatantly WRONG. If she would have brought it up with me, we could have communicated about my past 15+ years in chronic pain with countless failed treatments and we could have resolved it. Instead, she did not ask questions about my past medical history, she marks her assumptions down on my paperwork without even acknowledging it with me. Shameful for a health professional to behave in such a manor. Doctors like her are the reason I audio record all appointments. It's their word against theirs. If I'm paying more than $300 for a doctor visit, they better be doing their dang job and doing it well!! Doctor and patient are supposed to be a team. What else am I paying you for?! I've been yanked around the medical system for over a decade. I do not and will not put up with self-righteous "doctors" such as Julie Turner. Putting themselves and their own warped ideas before their patients health. It's repulsive. Even though i have family history Colon cancer, she chose not to do a colonoscopy but instead told me to lay off the medical marijuana. Medical marijuana is the only thing that remotely gives me an appetite. if she would have asked I could have told her that the medical marijuana is for the 16+ years in chronic pain with countless failed treatments, therapy included, she would have know that her assumption was ignorantly wrong. She needs to go back to school, it's pitiful when the former patient knows more than the former doctor. I've already found my new GI, hopefully one that deserves my money. because Julie Turner and staff sure as heck did not.

Instead of hard waiting room chairs, there were chairs and sofas. They had a couple different areas, and TV's. The staff were all friendly and treated me wonderful. In the end, they had to refer me to a higher acuity facility, but made sure I would be refunded my copay. They didn't try to run a bunch of tests and then tell me they couldn't treat me. I really appreciated the upfront honesty from my provider. It made me feel like they had my health in there best interest. The nurses were very caring, and let me tell them everything that was happening without feeling rushed. Fingers crossed I won't need their services in the future, but should I, would definitely go back to this location.

The environment they create makes it easier to focus on healing and recovery. I'm beyond thankful that I took the step to come here and get sober. Without the support of both the staff and the other patients, I honestly don't know where I'd be today. This place gave me hope, support, and a foundation for a new life. I highly recommend this facility to anyone struggling and looking for help. It's by far the best rehab I've ever been to.

That unfortunately makes them terribly unorganized. Poor communication between staff members. I was shuffled between a few different "councilors" but most of my treatment was nothing more than AA meetings lead by former patients. Although my experience was a couple years ago I wanted to drop my recommendation for this practice…read more I had a money hungry dentist in another state tell me I needed a crown on a tooth I never had a problem with and went ahead and trusted he knew what he was talking about and had it crowned. Worst decision. Fast forward I always get food stuck in between that and the tooth beside it since it's not smooth. So my new dentist here in MO has worked on the tooth beside it bunch due to cavities and messed up the crown adjacent then told me we needed to pull it. That ticked me off because here I am looking at pulling a tooth I have never had an issue with AND it's slowly killing the one next to it too. I said no I wanted a second opinion and he sent me here. I told the doc my story and he said he would do his best to save it even though he thought the tooth had less than a 50% chance of succeeding but I wanted to try. It was a long appointment and he had some challenges but I was comfortable throughout the procedure and 3 years later I still have my tooth. I don't have the same problems getting food stuck alongside the crown anymore either which has bought some time for the tooth next to it as well. If I ever have to have any more detailed work done in my mouth I expect to return to this practice in St Joe. They are a good one!
