When I first joined, I was a bit hesitant because I wasn't sure what to expect. My husband and I were trying to find a place for both my boys to learn self defense as well as teach them to learn respect of the the craft. I am so glad and grateful we have found a place that not only greeted us with open arms, but literally like a family. The gym is run by brothers, one is Coach Fabiano "Cyclone" that is a professional fighter that teaches the Muay Thai side (if you ever get a chance to see his records, I suggest you look him up - did I mention that he is one of the most humble and nicest person EVER) and Professor Ismael Aoki, that teaches the Jiu Jitsu side (like his brother, he is black belt in Jiu Jitsu, with a heart of gold that is eager to teach the craft and patient enough to help). Both brothers are from Brazil and literally the nicest and respectful coaches to learn from. The gym is very family oriented which both my husband and I are also students that have given us the ability to work out together as a family. Another great addition is the strength and conditioning coach - Ryan Gage, his methods to help guide upcoming fighters and people like me the ability to train properly. I, for one am very grateful to this gym. If there were more stars, it would go beyond the 5 stars.

It is rare to find a group of people that are dedicated to uplifting each other, people who sincerely care about their peers, and people who unconditionally go out of their way to support one another like we have experienced at Sitan Gym. The coaches each offer unique skills to enhance the training and improve participant's ability and competence. The Sitan Gym atmosphere is family friendly (especially the gym dog Holly) and is comfortable to train at regardless of age or experience. The gym prioritizes community which is apparent by the holiday celebrations and acknowledgments. Our sincere gratitude to all of the Sitan Gym staff and volunteers for contributing to make a great community for Muay Thai training at Sitan Gym.

I trained privately with Travis for a matter of some months multiple times a week and everyone there was always friendly and nice and I'm a pretty quiet no-small talk kinda guy. I also interacted with Thiago a handful of times and he was always open and engaging every single time. This is without a doubt, the PREMIER location in Arizona if you want to learn the art of eight limbs whether it's through private or public instruction. The only reason I stopped going was due to some health complications I got that prohibited me from continuing training because I loved every damn minute of it.
