Avoid this business. If you try to cancel they will continue to bill you and charge late fees. I signed the electronic cancellation form in their location at my last class before moving out of town. 3 weeks later got a bill for a whole extra month and then a late fee. A few months before that they charged me $15 to freeze my account when I had a medical emergency and couldn't work out, then kept sending me offers to come back but wouldn't honor the offers when I went to restart. I just want to cancel my account. read more

I'm seeing a trend here. The staff and instructors are friendly (especially Zaley) and the classes are great. Watch out for the membership though. It is impossible to cancel. I went in person to the location in June and cancelled. 3 months later they are still trying to charge me monthly. I've called, emailed and texted dozens of times and can never speak to a manger to resolve this issue. I better not end up in collections or I'll be taking it to court. I will never come back or recommend CycleBar after this experience. read more

There's always like 5 to 10 people in these classes so they're pretty empty. What really upset me about this studio is that I scheduled a class there and I accidentally went to the Scottdale 10 one location at the start time so I didn't have time to make it over to the norterra location for the class. Instead of being understanding and courteous, and realizing I made an honest mistake going to the wrong studio. They charged me a no-show fee. Not only this, but they said they would ask their manager and or the owner about it and no one never got back to me. And then when I called again, they said that they couldn't refund the money because my membership was out of the Scottsdale 101 location. However, an instructor from the Scottsdale 101 location told me that they were the ones who charged me so only they could refund me. Idk who's being dishonest here but I'm pretty sure both studios have the ability to refund me. However, since norterra was clearly able to charge me, I'm certain they're able to refund me. It doesn't make logical sense that they wouldn't be able to. I was trying to go to each location half-and-half because I live and distance from both. However, I will not be returning to the Norterra location. It's only $20 but it's just the principal of it. It's very rude of them. It's just terrible customer service. the Scottsdale 101 location has a larger studio size and more riders in general. Also, the last time I went to Norterra before this, their speakers were having issues. read more

I came to cycle bar for my first time working out since having a baby and I am so thankful I did. It's extremely challenging, but everyone there is so supportive of pushing your body to it's own limits and going at your own pace whatever that means. From the receptionist to the other guests to the two instructors I've had so far (Zailey and Aida) I have felt nothing but kindness and support. The classes vary in music and exercises and I love that. I feel like I'm accomplishing something by becoming a member here; I'm being a better me. I highly recommend to try, even if you're not in your best shape yet. read more

i would not recommend cyclebar. they will make promises to get you to sign up for a membership and then not fulfill them. when you get a wrong charge on your account, they will avoid your calls. they say they will call you back, but never do. then when they pick up they tell you that the wrong charge on you account is out of their hands. i called at least 10 times each day for four days, left messages and still got no call. the GM was supposed to call me on two of those days and did not. moral of the story, just buy a gym membership and use their cycle class options. this business is a scam and ropes you into spending money and then makes it very hard to cancel. if you want to escalate your claim, you can't because there is no way for the customer to contact corporate. when employees do answer the phone, they are nice and instructors are nice too, but the customer service is awful. read more

i was considered signing up because my friend but the way they are handling a situation is so unprofessional and unacceptable. they wrongfully charged her and when she tried to contact them they told her to call back when a manager was there. it has been four days and she has called multiple times a day and the gm said they would even give her a call but never did and now the gm is going on vacation. to be honest just get a mountainside membership because it's not only a gym but also have cycle classes included in the membership price at no extra cost. there is a location across the street and you have access to all 20 locations again with no extra cost. cycle bar customer service is terrible. read more

I've been to several spin studios and while I have my tried and true studio at my hometown in CA, Cyclebar is easily becoming a favorite. Here's why: AMENITIES, AMENITIES, AMENITIES! - Each class comes with a free pair of cycle shoes you can rent, a towel, a Cyclebar 32 oz water bottle (it's yours to keep! Yes, every time, so I bring the same one haha) that you can fill with chilled or room temp water. Free lockers are available to stash your belongings. Girls, if you forgot your hair tie, bobby pin, chapstick - just pick one up in the jars at the front desk or the bathrooms. - If you need to get ready to go somewhere immediately after your spin ride but don't have time to go home, there are 2 individual shower rooms complete with towels, deodorant spray, body spray for men and women, a hair dryer, straightener, combs, tampons, q-tips, Aveeno lotion and a plastic bag for your sweaty gym attire. - If you just want to lightly freshen up and wipe down your sweat, you can pick up individually packaged body wipes (which I love!!). FUN, FAT-BURNING 50-MINUTE CLASSES - I despise workout routines that take more than an hour, which is why spin has been a top contender and Cyclebar keeps with that schedule, yay! - Classes are incredibly varied, so if you get bored like me, there's something different everyday of the week- 80's mashup, dance party, HIIT, classic etc. - Lots of morning and evening times! - Weights for upper arms are a part of the spin curriculum; Cyclebar uses weight batons, which are available in 4 lb and 6 lbs. - These classes are not easy. I repeat, NOT EASY. My legs feel like jello every time and the instructors challenge your entire class with electronic scoreboards during your ride. CUSTOMER SERVICE -I think a very common sentiment is that fitness studios are full of snooty instructors and staff who are not friendly or welcoming, but Cyclebar staff has been nothing but helpful - very inviting and helpful for first-timers and regulars. -Excellent package deals! This is my favorite place to cycle! I have been to numerous cycle spots and this place is simply the best. They provide complementary cycling shoes to use so you don't have to bring your own. Don't worry, they've always been clean and never smelled like sweat! There is a big locker room area with showers and bathrooms. Cleanliness is never an issue here. The instructors are all very upbeat and energetic (special shout out to Emily and LJ). You know how some places play unfitting music and then your work-out gets thrown off and then you become not as into it anymore? This has never happened to me here. I personally love their selection of music (good mix of electronic, rap, rock, etc), which keeps me pumped up the entire duration of class. The instructors incorporate arm work outs with a weighted bar so you're not monotonously cycling the entire time. Classes are never too full or crammed where I'm terrified that I'll elbow the person next to me. Bonus is that they give you a nice wet towel after each work out that smells like a mini spa. Finally, they occasionally have meet-and-greet events where people can mingle after class either at a restaurant or in their studio where they provide refreshments and drinks (who doesn't love a good sip of wine after an intense workout?) read more

Went on a Saturday. Criss was the instructor. She is phenomenal. Took me for a great ride with a great Playlist! Staff was friendly offered lockers for storing my stuff. A water bottle and towels! After having my 300th ride here today, I have to update this review to say this place is just as amazing as it was on my first day, if not more. The instructors have all continued to be top notch, the sense of community is wonderful, and they really do go above and beyond for their riders. Anyone who is considering trying a class here should. It is the least intimidating, kindest studio I have ever been to. Whether you are a triathlete or have never worked out a day in your life, you will get exactly what you need out of this place. This studio is great. The instructors are very friendly. My favorite is Carol. Her classes are challenging and you get the feeling that she is very passionate about what she does. The classes are just under an hour which seems to be ideal. Not too long or short. Front desk staff always asks about your day and asks how you liked the class afterward. Me and my friend purchased groupons for four classes and we did our first ones today. The staff was absolutely amazing and the studio was clean along with fresh coffee and ready to go water bottles. Absolutely love our instructor carol she was very motivating and was helpful and kind to us after our session. I bought a Groupon for this just to try it out and thought nothing of it and honestly didn't set up a high expectation for it at all. But I am truly impressed not only was the staff absolutely amazing specifically Carol and Emily but they were extremely helpful welcoming, understanding and supportive. They make you feel very welcome and are very honest and sincere. I loved that the studio offers shoes, lockers, towels, water bottles and coffee along with a bunch of extra accessories free of charge. I didn't feel pressured or judged at all and you can tell that they are not just there for a sale. Once my Groupon is over I will 1000% be continuing cycling here. I AM OBSESSED!!! read more

I Love Cycle Bar Norterra! After having my 3rd child I was looking for something to get back into exercising and this was the perfect fit. They have early morning classes and evening classes that fit my schedule and the workouts are fun yet intense and challenging. The instructors are extremely motivating during the class and friendly after class to hang around with and have a drink if you like. Everything you need is provided for you and if you forget something, don't worry they have it or in some cases will even go get it for you!
