They are friendly until you bougth a bike. After that, the service stops. Last weekend we bought a bike for my girlfriend. In the meantime on my bike the tire got flat they had 2 mechanics in the store, but I had to come back on monday. They didn't even check if it just need air. After I picked up my bike on monday, it lasts exactly 500 m. They didn't even removed the nail from the tire. Ok- so my experience of Cycle King? Initially the customer service was good when I contacted them to find out the cost of servicing my son's bike. I was informed that I could book the bike in to have it's brakes repaired and could collect it later on that day. I also wanted the neck of the fork tightened. I nearly had the shock of my life when I arrived and was told that this would cost £50!!!!!! I rightly pointed out that for that price, I am sure I could get a new bike. I was given my mashing orders when the gentle man told me that I should go and see where I could find a bike for that price and if I was not very successful, I could bring the bike back to have it repaired by them. Needless to say with that price and attitude, I elected to take my business else where- straight to Halfords. Price off a full bike service including parts £14.99- priceless. read more

DO NOT buy from this store. I bought a bike from them and had nothing but trouble with it.They have repaired it each time something has gone wrong, however, now i am fed up with taking the bike back and have requested a refund the attitude has changed completely. Was laughed at and patronised in the store when i requested the refund. Now i have reported them to Trading Standards for selling an unsafe bike, i've taken advice from Consumer Rights and had to get my Credit Card company involved. The manager is an absolute joke who cares only for sales. Be very very wary of the helpfulness when buying, like a cat about to pounce on a mouse!!!! Any problems after that..........then you are stuffed. read more
